USA Today Bestselling Author

Reading has always been one of my favorite hobbies, even as a little girl. When I was a toddler, my parents would read stories to me over and over. I would hear them so often that I had the books memorized and could recite the story word by word.

My favorite genres are fantasy, paranormal, and contemporary romance. So of course that's what I'm inclined to write.

I have a husband, two young daughters, and a mini Australian Shepherd. I've lived in Tennessee the majority of my life and love the state.

I'm extremely addicted to caffeine and enjoy drinking coffee and lattes.

Cursed picks up without missing a beat. There's non-stop action from beginning to end. Lexy and her friends and family do what they have to save the people who are just like them. I am sad to see this series end. And seeing another generation of Cole? Absolutely priceless

I’m completely hooked and addicted to this series. I love Lexy. These characters are so easy to fall in love with. So much imagination and creativity. This book was well thought out and it’s so well written. It’s a masterpiece and needs to be on screen. I’m addicted. Highly Recommended

Cursed is the continuation of Jen L. Grey’s The Half-Breed Prison duology. Prepare to be reunited with Lexy, Aaron, Knox, Deissy, and the rest of the characters that you came to be familiar with in the Bloodshed Academy series. A lot is going to be happening between Lexy and her to two admirers, and the fight is going to be coming to a head as well, but not without there being some loss…and a few revelations along the way.
When I started this duology spin-off I was thrilled to be reunited with old characters and to meet some new characters as well. This book continues forward in that vein with Lexy being reunited with her birth parents and the planning process beginning as to how to take down the Elites who are intent on using Lexy to their own twisted end. This book is really fast-paced with how things go. Months go by in the blink of an eye! Cole is of course up to his usual antics with running his mouth and pretty much-putting people’s lives in danger with his crazy driving. I couldn’t help but laugh at him. Lexy is definitely her father’s daughter though you’ll see quite often that she has a hard time facing THAT particular mirror/reflection of herself. I won’t reveal the twists but I have to admit that I enjoyed a couple of them as they were quite unexpected.
For me, this book wasn’t as good as the first one. I liked that there is more variety of the characters, but I just didn’t like that Lexy and the other half-breeds acted like brats a lot of the time. They’re all adults, but they don’t always act like it. I didn’t like them always wanting to get snotty with the older ones because they didn’t see eye to eye on everything or the things that they felt that they were right on. I felt that Lexy’s attitude and mouth were really a problem with this book. She likes to run her mouth and never really thinks about others most of the time. She gets snotty with Aaron completely disregarding that she and he are not the same. For him to view things differently and in an odd light is to be understandable to a degree.
Now, I understand that this spin-off was planned as a duology and kept that way, but I felt that this book ended up being rushed for the ending. There isn’t a big climactic battle like I was expecting to happen. Things happen in a rush and before you know it it’s all over. It was a bit disappointing for me. This has been building for over several books so for things to close the way that they do just leaves me feeling like it’s not truly finished. Maybe it’s not, and there will be more, but for now, it just feels unfinished.
All in all, I’m rating this book 4 out of 5 stars. I like the development of the older characters and how MOST of them have matured. I like Cole as he is because honestly…he’s a hoot and he has his more mature moments. Hopefully, Lexy can grow herself and stop being so judgmental especially of him because seriously Lexy…pot…meet kettle, hun. I enjoyed the first book more, but this book is good to learn the truth behind how things came to be in the first place.

Thrilled

I am so thrilled I stumbled on to this author and her Bloodshed series that led me to this one. The continuation of the bloodshed characters but with a new lead and her friends made this a great storyline and gives some resolution to the Bloodshed series. I hope she grows it even further because I can't help but hope she writes more so we learn of a mate for Damien, Sol, Luna, and Deissy. Plus, getting to see how the blending of Lexy's family bonds would be thrilling. Humans and supernatural, ummmmm, that could go to some interesting places! (Especially with Cole in the mix lol) This writing is done so well that I just had to finish and find out what was going to happen. I read a lot but it's hard to find a writer who's literary works I can't put down or get enough of reading. Grey has definitely been added as one of my favorites. Give her books a try and you won't be disappointed. She's FANTASTIC!!! 😁 PS...I love Raven's pack so much! 💖 Thank you for these thrilling characters Ms. Grey 💫

To the author.

Oh no you didn't!
The Ending???
Whhhhatttt theee he*l ??!
Cole <3 (my love from your books) and you. just. did. not. ended. book. like. this!

I want a scene when Cole Omg. How could you do this to me ;(
despair.
black hole.

My Cole - my light in the dark :(

I'm sad that this book didn't have more Cole by the way...

About a book beside THAT tragedy.
Eh. Why you didn't focus on the plot with half breeds? I was anticipating more super/kickass powers ; scenes etc. Some training. Figuring out Lex powers. Eh. So many wasted plots. :(
I will read other books with hope for more characters like Cole <3 - because, seriously, that persona is like everything <3 my BBFF (BookBestFriendForeva) Still laughing my ass off.
And I hope you will finally find some order in your books. Right now they are chaotic. BUT i think you have a potential. So i hope...

Both the Bloodshed Academy series and Lexy's story finally come to an epic conclusion.
As the prison camp is revealed in it's full nature, the half-breeds are in danger. Lexy, Aaron, Knox, Sol, and Deissy are putting their plans together with Lexy's parents, their pack, and the witches of Sol's coven, after the successful escape/rescue mission. But stopping the Elites is not the only problem on Lexy's mind, especially with her heart being a bit torn between the two men, and the overprotective behavior of her parents when it comes to her love life.
Funny, entertaining, and still action-packed story that is a real page turner. I devoured it pretty fast, and aside from not being able to help my feelings towards certain characters, I still very much enjoyed the banter between both the teenagers and the adults (hard to say the "mature ones" especially when one looks at Cole).

Riveting and fast paced! The action keeps going with humorous and heartwarming moments thrown into the mix. The twists are phenomenal and definitely have that wow factor.

Lexy is just like Cole. Her mouth has zero self control and the back and forth between them is comical. Some supes will never change (Ahem Cole) and you've just got to roll with it. Cole and Jess having such a huge influence in this was very entertaining. They are adorable and entertaining.

Lexy made the right choice in choosing the guy that she does and I won't spoil that. But I was absolutely on board with her choice. They just make sense together.

The conclusion was indeed satisfying. I especially loved the epilogue because... reasons! One being that Raven who wasn't in this one much, got her happily ever after. I loved Bloodshed Academy! So this was just a gift.

What an ending to this duet

The more I read Jen L Grey's stories the more I fall in love. This story takes place right after book 1's ending and it didn't disappoint. Lexy was forced to make a tough choice between two people but one attraction trumped the other no problem. Though I didn't expect what happened to happen.

This story was packed with fast paced action and so many other things you didn't want to put it down. Each chapter left you wanting for more.

And I love that she continues to utilize her characters from Bloodshed academy because Raven and the rest are my favorite. Especially Cole. And I love how Raven is perfect blend of both Jess and Cole. Makes you love her that much more.

I highly recommend this series. But be sure to read Bloodshed Academy before you do.

Great job Jen!

We pick up right where Hunted left off. Lexy and few of her supernatural prison mates have broken out and are on their way to the covens safe house. There is so much to process at this point. In a span of just a few months, Lexy found out she was adopted, that she is a rare supernatural combination, thrown in prison, meet her birth parents, broken out of prison, and has feelings for two different guys. Get your popcorn out because its all about to collide. Some serious secrets are reveled and its like what!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is like edge of your seat content here. And the author does a fantastic job of hitting you with a left out of nowhere, and you are left with your mouth hanging open in utter astonishment of what just happened.

If you've read the previous books I have one word for you......Cole! Need I say more? His character has to be one of my all time favorites. He keeps me in stitches and leaves me wishing he was a real person and a personal friend of mine. I do love the other characters in these books, Lexy coming in a close second to Cole....like father like daughter. Their snarky comments make this series. All in all, a Great read and a superb ending to the society....(or is it)?!? I felt the mate triangle was a little anticlimactic and fell somewhat flat for me, but does not in any way diminish the story. If you love the supernatural world, I highly recommend these books.

Lexy,Knox, Deissy, Sol, and Aaron and all they others find themselves trying to figure out how to save the other half breeds from the prison. With each day they grow stronger but something is happening to one of them and when things get more complicated do they find out what this one person truly is. Will they be too late to save them all or will the bad guys do what they planned to do? An other action packed read full of emotions, twists, and has a few things you may not expect. By the end you want more of these guys and find out if they succeed I'm their mission. Can't wait to read what she has next.

Loved it!!

Ugh I love Lexy's spirit and grit so much!! Cole was my favorite in the previous series and I LOVE his daughter. Meeting all the fun new characters and mixing them with some of the old is a winning combo. Lexy has escaped the prison, but she really needs to escape the Elites. She joins her biological parents to try and take them down, all while dealing with 2 suitors. Im so happy with the ending and how beautifully everything was wrapped up. No plot holes or pacing problems. Very well done.

For the last couple of days, I have binged on this series. It’s sadly coming to an end. I really loved this spin off series. I love Lexi and her group of friends. I’m so happy to see Rage, Raven, Cole, and Jess. “Cursed” was jam packed with action and we got lots of questions answered.

I listened to the audiobook, and the narrator, Brittany did a wonderful job bringing the book to life. It was easy to follow along and distinguish the different voices she used.

If you enjoy paranormal reads, action, romance, and prison academy books with a twist try this series.

Fantastic

Loved this book, it’s the perfect ending to the series.
It’s well written, with such detail you just fall into the book. It’s got so many awesome twists and suspense I couldn’t pity the book down.
If you’ve already read book one you would know this series has great main characters and also links in with the bloodshed Academy series.
Love the character’s whit and their inner monologue, yes cole was my fav from the Bloodshed Academy series but his daughter steps it up even more in this series... oh so good!
Can’t wait to read more books from this author

I really enjoyed finishing this story as, I had also read the Bloodshed Academy books which has cross over characters in this story and allowed me extra time with characters that I grew to love. I enjoyed getting to see into another aspect of the story line that wasn't gone into to deeply in Bloodshed Academy, however I am glad that The Half-breed Prison was given its own series as I don't think it would have done the storyline any justice if they tried to squeeze it into Bloodshed Academy.

Goodness Such Great Stories!

These were 5 wonderful books. I absolutely loved reading them. Raven, Rage, Damien, Jess and Cole made up the 5 Musketeers. Lexy, Deissy, Sol, Arron and Knox made the New 5 Musketeers 😂😂 Thank you Jen L. Grey for such phenomenal stories all the way from all of the Shadow City Series through to The Forbidden Mate Series. I’ve still to read the Royal Heir and I’ll see about the other ones and the stand-alone stories. Sad for all these to have ended but The Royal Heir coming up. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊

I stand by my previous statement of duets. This should be all one book, but as it's YA I understand why it's two. That being said.... the transition is not bad. You could technically pick this one up and not be too lost which is always a bonus for me. Pacing is quick and I don't feel like things are left out which is another bonus for me. Lexy works well off the other characters. Cole is adorable. And although the love triangle thing felt a little forced, it didn't kill the story line.

I’m so sad this series has ended. I’m gonna miss these characters. I really hope there a little update book. About how everyone is doing and what’s going on in their lives. I can’t believe what went down in the book.im so glad Lexy picked the right mate because other was selfish and annoying. I was really hoping Damien had a mate but maybe in the next book?!!!

Cursed follows Lexy and her crew after the events of book one. Our favorite crew from Bloodshed is back and man did I miss Cole! Lexy still has to choose between two mates and also work to take the prison down. This has a super happy ending for our main squeezes and I couldn’t be more thrilled with who chose as her mate 😍!

Thank you to the author for a free copy in exchange for an honest review.

I loved loved loved this book it was so amazing I couldn’t stop reading it till I finished it lol. This shared world was epic I’m actually sad it’s over. I wish there was more like when Damien finally finds his mate or Deissy finds her mate or even Sol but I loved the way it ended it was perfect and I’m so happy I got to read this! Thank you so much for this adventure I never knew I needed.

Loved this book, it was a great finish to the series. Glad they all got what was coming to them and that they were able to finally have live in piece. I loved the new characters that were introduced into this series and it was great to have the old characters from Bloodshed Academy in this series as well as it answered questions and completed parts in the Bloodshed series that I felt were unfinished. Definitely worth a read.

The five fugitives have the prison behind them with Lexy’s family, Sol’s coven at their back. Keeping everyone occupied is the desire to learn the prison’s secrets and break the others out. Fate has other plans in the guise of mean girl, Alice, while Lexy, Aaron and Knox’s love triangle is a huge distraction in such close quarters. Choices put spotlights on some truths. (Oh My God! How self-sacrificing can this team be?!?!?)

Half-breeds rising...

A perfect conclusion to this series. I loved reading about previous characters from Bloodshed Academy and their involvement with Lexy. Knox and Lexy secure their bond and Aaron suffers those circumstances. Each character is this series has a very unique personality and skill. From Vampire, Fae and Witch they keep you entertained. Excellent Series!!

This was the perfect ending to an amazing story that started with Bloodshed Academy! I highly recommend reading Bloodshed Academy first so you get to know the storyline. The only thing I didn't like was the fact that the story ended. I would love to see all my favorites return in a new book!!!

They were saved from the fire only to return.
Lexi, her mate Knox, Daisy, Aaron, and Soul find themselves in all kinds of trouble.
Together, with their families they must find a way to save the hybrids and end the Elite, the monsters seeking a way to make unstoppable supernaturals .
Can they win? Will they all come out alive?

Jen L Grey did a wonderful job and the narration was great!

Satisfied

I am very satisfied with the nice bow everything got wrapped in. I’m still worried a certain character is going to pop up as the antagonistic another book, and I still feel like I’m missing a big piece of our original fives story. But I do love how the world was carried on in this duology.

Funny and exciting

I was super excited to read more about Lexy and her relationship with Cole and Jess. I enjoyed the similarities between Cole and Lexy tremendously, they were a great way to lighten the story. I really liked the conclusive ending to this duology.
Yet another Jen L. Grey book where I laugh, get emotional and ultimately breathe a sigh of relief at the end.
