Lots of handwaving about intentions and intuitions, and list after list of different minerals (aka "crystals"), but no real explanation of what this "crystal reiki" stuff even is, beyond the non-explanation of it being "reiki using crystals." (No schist.) "Go with your gut" is not what I expect from a "manual."

Then there's the sheer craziness of there being an example of a crystal reiki client presumably being treated for being in an abusive relationship (p. 134) and that being presented as anything other than an instance where you would refer that person to a professional with more serious credentials than Crystal Reiki Master.

The book needs an editor - is it vesica piscis or vesica piscus? (The former, btw.) And why don't you visualize the Flower of Life when you're doing a Crystal reiki attunement (p.114)?

And lastly, there's the whole possibility that, if there is any validity to crystal reiki, it might not come from benevolent sources, despite the best of our intentions. (Remember what paves the road to Hell.) It is intriguing that the very same week I read this book, I read an essay online about Rudolf Steiner's idea of "Ahrimanic evil" and its possible connection to the efficacy of crystals (down to the silicon transistors that make every aspects of our contemporary lives possible).

Well written and clear, but very basic. I read the whole thing in less than two hours. There aren't any case studies or personal stories to give you the feel for how a Reiki session works or how you might select crystals based on a client intake. I understand that this is supposed to be a manual (and therefore more technical) but it felt like some teaching opportunities were missed. However, what was presented was well done and helpful.

I really enjoyed the course and the book. I was able to bring this work to my existing Holy Fire III Reiki practice and my reiki courses. I like how ambitious and carefully written this book is. It is not only a great book for reiki practitioners but for anyone who wants to get more out of their crystal practice.
