Anderson “Andie” Daniels wonders when she’s going to catch a break. A single mom in a new city, Andie desperately tries to stay afloat, but life keeps throwing her curveballs. She’s lonely, she’s tired, and she’s broke. She’s about to throw the towel in and crawl back home when she gets a job offer working for a stylist. Andie’s new job is keeping her head above water, but the hot bar owner downstairs may just pull her back under. Cameron Forbes is successful, handsome, and single…and that’s how he likes it. Recently broken up from a long-term relationship and living in a new city, Cam decides to solely focus on his business, a successful string of bars called The Social Hour. His business is his baby, his mistress, and his responsibility. What he didn’t have perfectly planned out is the crazy woman who pops into his bar unexpectedly one afternoon. Cameron has to decide if he can let his heart overrule his head or if he’s destined to a life running The Social Hour. Sometimes Life doesn’t go the way you planned it. The Social Hour is the third book in the Coffee Book series. It’s a standalone novel, but the author strongly suggests reading the first two books in the series because of returning characters. "I love Sophie’s books, they never fail to make me smile and I always enjoy every moment I spend reading them. She quickly became one of my favorite authors and I’m already excited to see what she has next in store for us. The Social Hour was a heartwarming, emotional, and sweet read that had me laughing like crazy and enjoying every minute I spent reading it. I cannot recommend it, and this series, enough!" - MLOVESTOREAD "After reading all three books, I feel like these characters are my friends so writing this review feels very bittersweet. The Social Hour is definitely one of my most anticipated releases of the summer and once I received the ARC on my Kindle, I binged it in one evening so I think that tells you how much I enjoyed it. Sophie writes fun, witty romances with very likeable characters and fantastic friendships." - Wendy, LOVELIBOOKS "The entire three book, Coffee Girl series is 5⭐️s. I cannot get enough of these amazing characters." - Wagging with Words "Well guys, Sophie Sinclair has done it again. Another amazing book in the Coffee Book series. This book was filled with fun, drama, steam, and overall was just captivating. " - Buffalogirllovesbooks "I love love love this series! The friendship between TJ, Kiki, Sarah, and now Addie is amazing. I found myself laughing out loud so many times during this book. TJ made me laugh as usual so much, but the babysitting scene with Cam had me in hysterics! I love Cam and Andie together as a couple. This was one of those books that once it hit my Kindle, I couldn't put it down. " - Carrie P. "Y’all, I am not ready to say goodbye to The Coffee Girl series. But, because I have too, The Social Hour was the perfect ending! " - MollysReadingAdventure
I just want to say a big thank you to everyone who has gone on the Coffee Book Series journey with me. It's hard to say goodbye to these characters who I adored writing. The good ones, the bad ones, the crazy ones in between - I loved giving each one their unique voice. I hope you enjoy The Social Hour as much as I loved writing it. Maybe we won't say goodbye just yet, it's so final. Maybe we'll just say, I'll see you again. Now the question is...whose team are you on? ;) xoxo Sophie
Similarly to the rest of this series, this was a charming, funny, and steamy read. I love the complexity and strength of Andie's character involving the past that she leaves behind (along with the present that she brings with her).
This was a quick read and enjoyable throughout. I LOVED reading the cameos with the other characters in the series and seeing the direction that each of their lives had went. It's bittersweet saying goodbye to all of these charismatic and lovable characters.
If you enjoyed the rest of this series, I have no doubt you'll like this final installment. If you haven't read this series and enjoy drama and romance, I highly recommend checking it out.
***Thank you to the author Sophie Sinclair for sending me a digital copy of this novel in exchange for an honest review***
The Social Hour is the third and the last book in the Coffee Book series. Even though it can be read as a standalone I would recommend reading the other two books in the series before this one. The Social Hour was a funny, sweet, and beautifully written book, the one that I entirely enjoyed and loved.
After her boyfriend leaves her and their son Andie moves to Nashville in order to escape gossiping and rumors that escalated in her little town and to create a better future for her and her son. On her way to a job interview, she meets Cameron, Kiki’s (Coffee Girl) brother. Their first encounters were funny, awkward and it took some time for them to warm up to each other but once they did the attraction and chemistry between them couldn’t be denied. Both of them were ambitious, passionate about the things they love, kind, and mature. There wasn’t any unrealistic or unnecessary drama between them. They were incredible as individuals and together, and so perfect for each other. I cannot say that they were my favorite couple from the series, it’s impossible for me to choose, but I loved them with my whole heart. There’s no one like TJ, he is one of my all-time favorite characters, but Mandy, Andie’s best friend, was pretty incredible and hilarious too! I loved them so much, they made this book even more perfect for me. Just like with the other two books in this series secondary characters were amazing. We get to see couples from previous books and their children and that made me so happy. I love Sophie’s books, they never fail to make me smile and I always enjoy every moment I spend reading them. She quickly became one of my favorite authors and I’m already excited to see what she has next in store for us.
The Social Hour was a heartwarming, emotional, and sweet read that had me laughing like crazy and enjoying every minute I spent reading it. I cannot recommend it, and this series, enough!
Thank you to the author for a gifted copy of this book. All opinions are my own. Pub Date - 8/10/2020.
After reading all three books, I feel like these characters are my friends so writing this review feels very bittersweet. The Social Hour is definitely one of my most anticipated releases of the summer and once I received the ARC on my Kindle, I binged it in one evening so I think that tells you how much I enjoyed it. Sophie writes fun, witty romances with very likeable characters and fantastic friendships. There are some steamy scenes but I think it could have used more! Andie and Cam are a great match but their romance went from 0 to 60 pretty quickly - I don't hate it tho ;) As much as I love the romance, the highlight of the series is definitely the friendship between Sarah, Kiki, TJ and now Andie. They clicked quickly, had each others' back and made me laugh out loud several times with their antics.
Sophie, I am fangirling hard over here! What a deliciously humorous and angsty romance! It was the perfect ending to the series! I can't wait to see what you give us next :)
Thank you so much to the author for the gifted advanced copy of this book.
After reading all the three books in the series, all the characters seem very real and a part of them will remain with me forever.
Andie is a sweet, smart, and strong single mother to 14 months old Enzo when she moves to Nashville with a dream to set up a photography business from Alabama. She is homesick and lonely and struggling to find new friends. She ends up interviewing for Nashville Stylists (Kiki, Sarah, and TJ's company) and as soon as she joins the team she also find new friends.
She meets Kiki's brother Cameron on the day of her interview. She is immediately attracted to him but puts her child first. With various ups and downs finally, they get there happily ever after.
I loved the friendship between Kiki, Sarah, TJ, Andie, and Mandy. The madness has totally reached another level altogether in the best way possible. They have their back and can do anything for each other. I was up all night and binged on this one. I cannot think of a book I read so fast and it is that good. Apart from the romance and fun, the author has also tried very well to highlight the struggles of a single mom.
Sophie writes about lovable characters, great friendships, and relationships. I looking forward to the next book by her. I totally recommend this book and series.
Ahhh @sophiesinclairauthor never, ever lets me down. The entire three book, Coffee Girl series is 5⭐️s. I cannot get enough of these amazing characters. If you haven’t yet, go read Coffee Girl, and then The Make Up Artist, and then on August 10, The Social Hour because they are ALL amazing! 😍 The Social Hour was fabulous, I loved Andie and Cam. Andie is a single mom to adorable Enzo from small town Alabama who moves to Nashville to try to launch her photography business. She struggles to find friends and put herself out there, and ends up interviewing for an office manager position with Kiki, Sarah, and TJ who become amazing coworkers and friends. The Social Hour pub is downstairs from their stylist/make up boutique and Andie runs into Cam who comes off as a total arsehole but actually has a super sweet soft spot. Andie certainly swoons over Cam but is an awesome mama and puts Enzo first, trying to avoid having her and Enzo hurt by another man. Cam is smitten by Andie but isn’t ready to settle down. We follow the chaos of their lives, while still thoroughly enjoying Kiki, Sarah, Tj, Tatum, Lex, and Connor from the previous two books. TJ is still laugh out loud funny and I think will always be one of my absolute favorite characters. Sophie writes these well written novels that I just can’t put down. I am so invested in all of the characters and love every single second of their lives. I would read about them until they are old and gray, and their beautiful friendships they have. I’m so sad this series is over but it was an incredible series. I think I’m still team Lex, but I definitely could be team Cam. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ #sophiesinclairauthor #sophiesinclairwrites #thesocialhour #coffeebookseries #romance #books #bookstagram #bookcommunity
Sophie Sinclair finished this series with a bang! Each book has been a five star read for me and The Social Hour is no different. I read this all in one day!
This story has all the right ingredients that make up an awesome read! The chemistry between Cam and Andie; the one liners from TJ and Andie’s best friend, Mandy; meddling friends; and the fun that Andie, Kiki, Sarah and TJ have together ALL created this fantastic story.
Both Andie and Cam have reservations about relationships for their own reasons. Their first few interactions are not exactly smooth but they can't deny (at least to their selves) the attraction that is there. Add in a little competition and friends that can't help but interfere and soon Andie and Cam have to figure out what they have going on between themselves.
From moist balls to scary Marsha there are so many laugh out loud moments. TJ alone had me giggling so much.
Before I go on, let me say that it's not an over the top romcom. The scenarios are funny because I believe we, the readers, would react the same way if we were in their positions. Except TJ - he's just that crazy friend that needs to come with a warning label and a babysitter. (And I love his character to pieces!)
This can be read as a standalone and still be just as enjoyable but each story is so well written and are equally great that it would be a shame to miss out!
This book is the perfect ending to the Coffee Book series, I absolutely adored this story and the amazing characters in it.
From the very first page I was glued to the book I couldn't put my kindle down. This romantic comedy was perfect in every page. It's was super entertaining with so many funny moments, full of swoon and romantic scenes, adorable babies and old friends from the previous two book of the series that made this book a hit.
In this third book of the series we get Cameron(Kiki's brother) story, who by the way is this sexy , single and successful bar owner and single mom Andie , who by the way is the sweetest and most adorable mom ever. Their past experiences at love weren't the best , they have build walls to protect their hearts but the connection and pull they have to one another is something hard to fight.
Sophie Sinclair has definitely become one on my favourite writers, her stories are captivating and just really good.
I was so happy to get the chance to read and review this third book in the Coffee series from Sophie, but I am sad to know that this is the end of this amazing series. I have waited in anticipation for the second and third books after enjoying the first book so much and by now I am feeling "part of the family" with these characters, especially the quirky trio Kiki, Sarah and the hilarious TJ so I am sad to say goodbye to them.
This story features Kiki's brother Cameron who is in the background in the previous two books, we know he is a successful businessman but now we find out he is a total workaholic who doesn't have time for love but enjoys a romantic adventure or two that can get him into trouble, just loved the intro story. Our heroine is Andie, abandoned by her deadbeat boyfriend to bring up their son alone she moves to Nashville to start a new life.
On her way to an interview with for the office manager job with Kiki, Sarah and TJ she accidentally runs into Cam resulting in an upsetting encounter for her and an annoying but intriguing one for him. Working in the same building they are constantly running into each other, igniting a spark of chemistry which quickly turns into an inferno.
But falling in love is not easy for them, Cam is married to his business and is not about to get a divorce anytime soon. Andie is afraid of falling again for a man who is unable to commit to her and her son. Cam has to face the fact that his life has been turned upside down by this woman and has to decide which part of his life has to take a back seat.
This story is a heartbreaker in parts but is balanced by the crazy antics of Kiki, Sarah and TJ who give this new romance their wholehearted support. We meet again the varied cast of characters from the previous books including the bitchy sister Brooke, swoonworthy Tatum and Lex, and Andie's hilarious but heart of gold best friend Mandy. Lastly after meeting the idiotic and self absorbed ex boyfriend Mason thank goodness Andie kicked that moron to the curb.
Lots in this book to keep you totally enthralled, sad to see this series end but looking forward to more great writing from Sophie.
Have you picked up this series yet?! The series concludes with The Social Hour. We get Cams story, the brother of Kiki. Andie is a single parent who is trying to start her life in a new town when she gets hired by the gang.
This story sweeps you away. I love how Sophie can do that, her words just take you to a different place.
Gah... these characters are going to be missed. I love the friendship and the laughs. “But I’m like Gorilla Glue. Our friendship started out slow and kind of runny, but once that shit cemented our bond was unbreakable.”
So the big question- what team are you on Tator Tit, Sexy Lexy it Cool Cam? I am Team Tatum and he is mine.
And the Coffee Girl series is OVER 😭😭😭😭😭😭 (que small violin and pity party)
In The Social Hour, we follow the story of Cameron Forbes, Kiki's brother, hot, rich bar owner and the man who doesnt do relationships because his first marriage is to his job.
Andie, single mom willing to do anything to just GET A DANG JOB. Finds a job opportunity working for TJ, Kiki, and Sarah's company only to meet Cam in his bar thinking this is her job interview and he's an absolute prick... and gorgeous, but never mind that 😘.
After the weirdest interview full of questions not fit for a true job interview, Andie earns a spot working for The Fashion team via TJ. Who knew not only would she be the perfect fit for them, but the gang may just think she's a perfect match for someone else too... and they are ready to see sparks FLY!
This book was so much more than romance. It was family. It was friendship. It was everything.
I laughed anytime TJ, Andie, Kiki, and Sarah were together. That wild gang is what friendship is really about. (Awkward drunk twister in wedding dresses, bidding on a date, or maybe ridding demonic presences during child birth?)
I will miss this crew so much, but over all I loved the outcome of this amazing series. If you love Nashville and its country scene, you will love The Social Hour.
I received this copy from the author. It was a wonderful gift. All opinions are my own.
I love this book. I’m sad it’s the last of the series but I’m hoping for a TJ book, hopefully fingers crossed!! It can be read as a stand-alone. Though I recommend you read the first two books.
Cam and Andie were adorable together. The Social Hour was a pub that Cam owned that was downstairs from Andies new job. She has a son named Enzo that she was protective of. Cam wanted to date Andie regardless of her son. He adored both of them. I wished that there were more love scenes with them. The chemistry between them was hot! The first date scene was amazing and I just wanted more! The friendships and family was a beautiful addition to the book. They were invested and wanted the couple to be happy. There were many hilarious scenes and characters but my favorite was TJ. The scenes with TJ made me laugh out loud. He was hilarious and lovable. The epilogue was so cute.
And now I’m sad it’s over!!! I cannot choose which guy in the series was better. There were all so good.
Thank you again to Sophie Sinclair, you wrote a funny and heartfelt book! Looking forward to reading your next book!
You know how you settle into a series and feel like you are friends with the characters and are part of their life? This is how the Coffee Book series is for me. I am so sad that its over, but The Social Hour was the best ending I could have imagined. I am 100% Team Cam and loved how strong and hard working he is. Andie felt like a friend - like some who's life I could fit into and I could sit on her couch and have coffee. I realized as I read this book, just how much I enjoy the instant connection vibe of a book. I don't need perfection, but really just enjoy that spark of connection between to meant to be characters.
I am constantly pressing this series in friends' hands and will continue to do so, basically forever. Sophie, you are the best for sharing these friends with us.
Sophie Sinclair closes out the Coffee Trilogy with a romantic-comedy full of everything I never knew I needed. Andie is a single mom, new to Nashville, and is thrown into the world of our favorite heroines from books 1 & 2, Kiki and Sarah. She meets Cameron, Kiki's brother and bar-extraordinaire. The Social Hour, named after his bars, is their love story.
I fell in love with this couple from page one. They each had their quirks and their baggage, but that's what makes them so human-esque in my eyes. I wish there was more to this Coffee girl world, but I am hopefully for possible little easter eggs in Sinclair's future work. Until then, I may have to re-read the entire series from start to finish again!
A solid 4.5 stars from me. Thank you to Sophie Sinclair for kindly sending me an ARC for review. All opinions are my own.
I knew Cam was gonna make me swoon and just love him! I didn’t want this to end nor did I want this series to end as usual lol. Sophie wrote such a great series.
Andie is such a southern belle but with a touch of fierceness! She was such a mama bear as well that showed when she moved away from home after her ex just up and left them. But she also moved to help get her dream career up and running. So when an job interview comes to help get her foot in the door, she is all over that chance! But she wasn’t expecting for this interview to be at a bar and for the guy to be rude and not know what job she is talking about.
I have loved Cam since Coffee Girl! So to get his book now that he is living in Nashville, I was all for it. To get to know Cam better and figure out why such a handsome man like him wasn’t in a serious relationship, who wouldn’t want to read this. So when a gorgeous lady comes into his bar when it is closed and he is in the middle of working on something, he is so confused but right away she peaks his interests but is it something he can deal with?
Cam and Andie was a great couple to end this incredible series. I am so sad to see this one go but thankfully I can go and reread them anytime I want. And I am super excited to see what comes next for Sophie Sinclair!!
Andie and Cameron’s story in The Social Hour rounds out the Coffee series and it was a bittersweet story, as I will be sad to see this group go!
Andie is a single mother to Enzo, who has moved to Nashville to try and start afresh. In need of a job, she applies to work as an office manager for a well-known stylist and makeup artist, but turns up at the wrong location, walking into Cameron’s bar. After a less than pleasant meeting, Andie gets the job and becomes fast friends with her bosses, Kiki, Sarah and TJ. Kiki’s brother Cameron’s priority has always been his chain of bars, The Social Hours, and has never been able to put the time into a relationship which he should. Andie wants nothing to do with men after her deadbeat ex left her, but there is a chemistry between them which neither can deny. Will they be able to make a change for the other and accept each other into their lives for good? Or is anything that happens between them just meant to be a fling?
Cameron and Andie had chemistry, but I didn’t really feel a connection to them in the way I did with the couples in the previous books. I liked how they gradually opened up to one another, but their relationship seemed to go from one extreme to another and back again very quickly, which made it hard to invest in them as a couple. However, I liked their honesty and transparency all the way through, except for Andie’s one slight omission, but in regard to their relationship, there was no game playing which was refreshing in a romance book.
Cameron was charming and hot, but his focus was completely on the bars and only at the very end did he make that change, which meant that we never really saw him with Andie and Enzo as a family, which I would’ve loved!! However, he was aware of how he acted from the beginning, which made it slightly less frustrating, but I really wanted him to just once drop everything for Andie.
Andie was a bada$$ single mother and I adored her character. I was cheering her on from the start, she deserved so much. She had her moments of vulnerability, which made her so relatable, but she always always stood up for herself and her baby, she was a protective mama bear when it came to Enzo. She gave it to Cam straight, told him she wasn’t to be messed around and that she always wanted honesty. She was accepted into the quirky group at the office straight away and I loved the friendships she built with Kiki, Sarah and TJ.
It was so great revisiting this group and I will miss them all. I loved seeing Tatum and Kiki, Lex and Sarah and TJ and Connor at the next stage of their lives, happy, in love and as crazy as we left them! This whole series is a must read; I cannot recommend it enough!
*I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.*
I absolutely adored The Social Hour. The chemistry between Cam and Andie was absolute fire. It’s rare that I fall in love with a book couple but I was head over heels for Andie & Cam. ❤️ Single mom Andie has recently moved to Nashville to start over with her 18-month old son, Enzo. She’s trying to find a steady job and is working to get her photography side business off the ground. Workaholic Cam has successfully brought his bar concept, The Social Hour, to Nashville from California. It’s so wildly popular that all he wants to do is work to continue to expand his string of successful bars. He’ll stop at nothing to continue to grow his empire.
Andie runs into moody Cam while trying to find her way to her interview with Cam’s sister’s (Kiki) styling company when she ends up in Cam’s bar. Let’s just say the first interaction didn’t leave either of them with hearts in their eyes. As Andie starts her new job with Kiki’s company, the two are forced to interact. This leads to sparks and the two attempting to overcome their fears of being together to achieve their happy ever after. ❤️ I’ve loved the Coffee Girl series so much and this couldn’t have been a more fitting conclusion. Sophie proved she can write a happy ever after in the first two books and The Social Hour was no different. I find myself getting so emotionally attached to her characters and I’m devastated that this is the end of the series (maybe Matt should get a book....? 😉).
I would also like to award best supporting book character to TJ. He makes me laugh so hard throughout this book (as he has in every one of the Coffee Girl books). He reminds me EXACTLY of one of my best guy friends. It’s crazy how so many of Sophie’s characters in these books remind me of people I actually know - which might be why these books feel so relatable to me - even though I’ve never been in a rockstar romance or romance with a wealthy bar owner 😂.
The only reason this wasn’t a perfect 5🌟 for me is because the ending seemed a little “too happy ever after”. I know that sounds ridiculous but while I did feel the chemistry and connection between Cam & Andie, the ending felt a little too serious too fast based on where I thought there relationship was emotionally. But nonetheless, I loved every minute of this book!
The Social Hour is the third and the last book in the Coffee Book series. It can be read as a standalone, but you should totally read the first two, it makes the story that much better when you have all the background of the characters in play.
Andie and her son pick up their life from their small town to Nashville, after her baby daddy decides to cheat on her and join the rodeo. Andie is running from the small-town gossips and rumors that escalated in her little town but is also seeking opportunities that will create the life she deserves. On her way to a job interview, she has a very confrontational meeting with Cam. Their Meet Cute is one for the books for sure. It was funny, awkward, and laying the foundation for explosive chemistry once they move past denial. It takes a series of evens for them to both admit that they have an attraction and chemistry between them. Cam is my most favorite of the men in the Coffee Girl Series. He is so loving and tolerant. He gives 1000% to his family. He has a drive to be successful and protective nature. I do think some of Cam’s insecurities make him feel that much more real. Cam and Andie are very much both type A personalities. They both are super protective of the people they love. They are ambitious, passionate, and family first. I must give big props to the two supporting characters who kind of steal any scene they are in! There is no one in the world like T.J., however Mandy, Andie’s best friends comes stinking close! I love them both so much! They really make the story. Can we also take a minute and talk about what a twerp Becky is.. seriously that girl needs to be biffed.
The Social Hour was an emotional, and funny read. I laughed so much and enjoying every minute of the story. I cannot recommend it, and this series, enough! Sophie Sinclair has a magic in her books, and I love them so much. This was a 5/5 read for me.
Fantastic and Fun!!!! I loved this final visit with this hilarious group of friends. Here we meet Kiki’s brother Cameron.... he is a successful bar owner and completely married to his work. With no time or inclination for anything serious he has a string of women desperate to be the one!! He is grumpy, blunt and impatient. However he has a huge heart and is constantly there for Kiki and her friends.... his conversations with TJ had me laughing out loud.....the exasperation in his tone was so funny yet he still showed great restraint and care towards the glitter bomb that is TJ!! I could just picture him rubbing his forehead and rolling his eyes!!! Like Seriously😂😂 Andie is a country girl and a single mum, struggling to adjust in the city. She is determined to make a life for her and Enzo, a true romantic... she just wants someone to love them and be there for them... despite the instant attraction with the handsome Cam....it is clear to her that he only has time for his business. Can he get his life together enough to make room for an instant family or will friends be all he can ever offer Andie ....? This is a fantastically entertaining read with Ms Sinclair’s usual brilliance.... her observation of behaviour, timing and humour is exact. The friends together were a joy to read....oh and Mandy...I have no words for her hilarious inappropriateness!!! While I’m sad to leave this mad, loveable bunch I am so excited to see what is next....!
I loved Andie from the moment I started this book. A single mother who just wants a better life for both her and her adorable little boy, Enzo. She needs a job and when the opportunity as an officer manager comes up she takes the chances and interviews (which was probably one of the most hilarious job interviews I have ever read). Cameron owns a bar, which just so happens to be under his sister, Kiki’s business. He comes across as kind of an arrogant jerk, however, there is an attraction between him and Andie.
There is some instant attraction between Andie and Cam, however, Andie is looking for someone to potentially settle down with and Cam is just not reading for that stage of his life. I love Cam’s protectiveness over Andie. The two of them have some amazing chemistry. I loved their relationship from the start. Of course, there are plenty of ups and downs but it is well worth the ride.
It was great to get more of the entire group and it is hard not to love them all. Their interactions are always hilarious, and you can’t help but have a massive smile on your face.
Both The Social Hour and the entire Coffee Girl series is a MUST READ!
So bittersweet, Sophie Sinclair has finished the Coffee Club Series with the third and last book, The Social Hour. This beautifully written romantic comedy captivated my undivided attention and had me devouring every word until the very end. New to town single mum Andie, and career driven, anti-relationship Cam both have baggage and insecurities. Their slow, bumpy and angst filled journey to a HEA was riddled with drama, angst, sweet moments, swoon worthy moments, and absolutely hilarious laugh out loud, possible snorting moments. Secondary character TJ is one of my all time favourite characters. I think everyone needs a glitter bombing TJ in their life. Sophie wherever you take us next I think he needs to make a cameo appearance 😂🤣... I absolutely adored the Journey of Andie of Cam as they both took another chance on love and reached a beautiful HEA. Sophie has quickly become one of my must read authors and I’m truly excited to see where her beautiful storytelling will take me next. While The Social Hour could be read as a stand-alone I strongly recommend starting with Book 1 the Makeup Artist because you won’t be able to get enough of these characters.
The Social Hour is the final book in the Coffee Girl Series by Sophie Sinclair. It follows single mom Andie as she finds a job and a new life in Nashville, and Cam, Kiki’s older brother, who doesn’t have time in his busy life as a multi bar owner for love.
This book is such a great ending to the Coffee Girl series (trying not to cry over here!) I thought Andie and Cam’s relationship was definitely more on the sweeter side and I really loved how they weren’t looking for each other but couldn’t stay away once they met. The banter and sexual tension was ssoooo good and I couldn’t get enough of Kiki, Sarah, & TJ! I love how they took Andie in and welcomed her with open arms! This is another bingeworthy book from @sophiesinclairauthor !
I loved how as a friend group goes Kiki, Sarah, and TJ took Andie in so easily, and with almost everyone having kids her and Enzo fit right in! There were laugh out loud moments just like in the other books, and she really brought out the sweet side of always hard/serious Cam!
I am so sad this series has come to an end! I’d be lying if I said I hadn’t thought about starting a petition for Sophie to write JUST ONE MORE BOOK for this series! 😂
‘The Social Hour’ had just the right amount of witty banter, drama, and steam! This entire series is amazing, and I absolutely loved the connection between Andie and Cameron. The chemistry between the two was white hot, and I felt like you could almost feel the attraction just from reading the book!
I really feel like Andie and Cameron complimented each other, they were at different points in their lives, but came together in a beautiful way. Although, there were many times I wanted to smack the crap out of Cameron, I adore him. He needed someone who could hold her own and that’s exactly what Andie did.
Let us not forget about everybody else from the previous books either. It seriously brings me so much joy how much we got to catch up with Kiki and Tatum, Sarah and Lex, and T.J! Ugh, T.J is gold, and throw in Andie’s best friend Mandy and this book had me laughing out loud at some points! There were also points in this book that broke my heart.
I’m so sad that this series is over, but I don’t think that I could have asked for a better ending! I also highly recommend reading the first two books in this series to truly be able to immerse yourself in this world! Absolutely amazing story from Sophie Sinclair and I can’t wait to see what she writes next!
Successful in his pride and joy, The Social Hour, Cameron has no time for long-term relationships. His five year plan revolves around expanding his prized bar franchise. Enter Alabama native and single mom Andie, just moved to Nashville to start a new life, to get away from her small town, trying to make ends meet while pursuing her photography career. She’s Kiki, Sarah, and TJ’s newly hired office manager. The sparks fly between Andie and Cam, but what will have to give in order for their relationship to be close to even working?
Am I ready to part with these characters? Nope! Will I be rereading these books? Hell yeah! Sinclair has roped me into this series like nobody’s business. These unforgettable characters have practically become my friends. TJ, especially. The personalities come alive from the hilarious dialogue! And, the love, relationships, and bonds will have you simply falling for everyone.
Well, I had the opportunity to beta read this a couple of months ago, so I had already met Cam—and he’s pretty hot, ladies. (Don’t worry, Lex. You’re still my fave.) This final book did not disappoint. I adored Andie, empathized with her single mom struggles, high-fived her go-getting attitude, and loved her best friend Mandy—she was a total freaking hoot. These two were the perfect addition to the series’ already fun cast of characters. And, Andie’s chemistry with Cam—impeccable, despite bordering insta-love. If you haven’t picked up these books, I’d say you’re missing out!
Thank you to the author for sending me an ARC in exchange for my honest review.
The Social Hour is an excellent addition to the Coffee Book series. I think that Sophie Sinclair ended the series perfectly.
I was so happy that the gang was in this book a lot. Kiki, TJ, Sarah, and Mandy (Andie's best friend) kept the laughs coming. They are just a great group of friends, who only want the best for their friends and family.
Cameron is the owner of The Social Hour bar in town as well as a handful of other locations across the country. He is married to his job and doesn't generally have time for a relationship. However, when he crosses paths with Andie he beings to feel things that he never considered before. Andie is such a sweet addition to the gang. She recently moved to Nashville with her son, Enzo, leaving her past in Alabama. She has a heart of gold and deserves so much happiness. She recently started working for Kiki and Sarah and is fortunate enough to run into Cameron on a daily basis. I love how these two first meet. There are a handful of obstacles that these two encounter, from crazy ex's to wanna be girlfriends.
I absolutely love this series and I highly recommend this book if you are looking for a story with love, a bit of drama, and lots of laughs.
“The Social Hour“ by Sophie Sinclair is the third and final book in the “Coffee Book“ series and a laugh out loud, single parent romance that is as sweet as it is charming. I can’t get enough of these characters and this series. I adore everything about this literary world and the conclusion is both beautiful and bittersweet! Go read this series now! I can’t recommend it enough!
Blurb: Andie, a single mother trying to make it on her own, leaves her small Alabama town and takes a job as the business manager with Kiki, Sarah, and T.J. What Sarah doesn’t realize is that she’s going to fall fast and hard for the rakishly handsome Cameron Forbes.
Andie and Cameron have a whirlwind romance that is like any insta-love romcom movie, fast-paced and romantic. There are tons of laugh out loud moments with T.J. and lots of appearances from the old gang. This is a hilarious, entertaining, and deliciously fun series, the perfect summer escape. Andie and Cameron are the cherry on top of this delightful series!
In her third installment in the Coffee Book series, Cam is a workaholic who isn't looking for love when it walks into his bar one morning looking for a job. Andie is a single mom coming off a bad relationship and looking to move forward with her life and career in a new place. She walks into Cam's place of business expecting a job interview, and what she gets in a grumpy, yet sexy man that has no time to deal with her. Fast forward, and Andie lands her job with Cam's sister Kiki and is working just upstairs from the bar and Cam can't seem to get her off his mind. They are in constant proximity to each other and one thing leads to another. Andie needs a stable man in her son's life and Cam is always on the go.
Let me just say that I absolutely LOVED Coffee Girl and the Make-Up Artist and it would be hard for any book to live up to them for me. I really enjoyed all the returning characters that I have come to love. Something about Sophie's writing keeps me engaged and wanting to keep turning the pages way past my bedtime. I wasn't as sold on the chemistry between Andie and Cam, like I was in the first two books, but by the end their relationship had really grown on me.
If you enjoyed the first two books then don't stop there. This is the perfect way to wrap up the Coffee Book series and I can't wait to see what Sophie has in store for us next!
