What do you do when your hopes and dreams literally come crashing down around you? One split second and something that wasn’t your fault, stops you from participating in your chosen sport just when you’re nearing the top?

Another rider’s misjudgement, and my trial bike competition days were over.

I was angry; I admit it. I love my MC brothers, but they couldn’t understand. I could still ride a bike, allowing me to stay in the club, but I could no longer compete.

Drummer decided to give me something else to think about, and temporarily gave me some distance from Tucson. It was a simple enough task—make my way, of necessity slowly, to Utah, and check that chapter out.

Sure, the Utah club was friendly enough and never hesitated to support other chapters, but they were secretive. Drummer’s instruction was to discover what went on behind closed doors, and for me to return with the assurance they were following the Satan’s Devils rules and regulations.

The time on the road would give me a chance to clear my head, my welcome assured at my destination as they wore the same patch on their backs. Then I’d return home, hopefully with my mood improved.

Neither Drummer nor I had anticipated the mishaps along the route, nor that there was a possibility I might not make it back alive.

Manda’s life's always seemed a bit weird, starting with a childhood that even today she’s still trying to make sense of, then losing her parents in the late teens. Going from the tragic to the bizarre, who else could be unlucky enough to have had two car accidents, neither her fault, one involving a nun, and another involving a police woman?

There isn’t enough space to list everything that’s happened to Manda, or what she’s learned from it. But by using the rich fabric of her personal life, psychology degree, varied work experiences, and amazing characters she’s met, Manda is able to populate her books with believable in-depth characters and enjoys pitting them against situations which challenge them. Her books are full of suspense, twists and turns and the unexpected.

Manda lives in the beautiful countryside of Essex in the UK, the area’s claim to fame being the Wilkin’s Jam Factory at nearby Tiptree. She can usually find jars of jam which remind her of home wherever she goes. As well as writing books and reading, Manda loves walking her dogs and keeping fit. She lives with her husband of over 30 years, who, along with her son, is her greatest fan and supporter.

Manda is thankful that one of the more unusual, and at the time unpleasant, turns her life took, now enables her to spend her time writing. Confirming, in her view, every cloud has a silver lining.

WELL THAT WAS DIFFERENT....
I WASN'T EXPECTING THAT!!!!

Manda has done it again. She takes you to places kicking and screaming even when you know it's not where you want to be. Her stories challenge everything you know, or believe you know, and makes you reevaluate your beliefs. This story is no different.

A broken MC member, Road, takes a journey from his own Chapter, with a task to carry out. A task requested by his President. Visit another Chapter and feedback on anything that looks out of place. But the task isn't as easy or straight forward as Road first thought.

There are so many lies, questions, moral decisions, and of course a woman, that make this task almost impossible for Road to complete. It's fast, action packed and fuelled by drama.

Whatever you think the surprises are in this book, you're probably miles off base. But when you find out, whose side will you be on?

Road Tripped is the first book in new Satan’s Devils MC Utah Series by Manda Mellett. I have been follow the Satan’s Devils since the very beginning of the original series and even though there have been many books between then and now, things never get ‘stale’ or boring- I know I can always rely on Ms. Mellett to deliver a story that not only captures my attention, but she always manages to add something that will surprise me, too- something unexpected that makes me sit up and take notice- and this book certainly did that in spades.
Road has been sent to Utah by his Prez, to check up on the Satan’s Devils chapter there. It should have been a pretty straightforward assignment, meant to take his mind off his own dramas. But when he arrives, he soon discovers that there is much more to the situation that he ever imagined. What happens next makes for a really great read.
So, if you love a really beautifully written and riveting MC story- with complex, quirky and loveable characters, sizzling scenes, suspense, action, and drama- all wrapped within an original plot- then this is definitely a book you won’t want to miss. Be warned though, you may discover that one of Ms. Mellett’s addictive books may not be enough!

Thank you, Ms. Mellett!

I have to say, Manda has outdone herself this time with Road Tripped, the first in a new chapter of the Satan’s Devils MC.

There’s a whole host of twist and turns as Road finds himself thrown into what appears to be a completely different universe to what he’s used to back in Arizona when Drummer sends him out to another chapter to see if everything’s in order and to provide feedback on anything that appears to be out of place.

Road struggles with the task his Prez has given him, things aren’t so straightforward, there are lies and deception, questions to be asked, moral decisions to be made and the small matter of a female "brother", one he feels a strong attraction towards and in the middle of it all some issues arise which plunge the MC right into the thick of things.

Get prepared for a fast-paced, action packed read filled with drama and suspense. This book wasn’t what I expected, in saying that I never really know what to expect from Manda, she’s got a talent for surprising us readers each and every time but trust me when I say you’re really in for a great surprise when it comes to Road Trip.

Road Tripped is book one in the Satan’s Devils MC Utah series by Manda Mellett.
This author continues to provide original and heartfelt stories with complete and complex characters that are easy to relate to and fall for. This story was a welcome addition in this crazy world. I got to escape completely and effortlessly into the Satan’s Devils world and I was blissfully entertained from beginning to end. I liked all the aspects of their lives and the danger, suspense, love and laughter. Not quite knowing what to expect at every turn of the page is exquisitely additive and something Manda Mellet delivers with each and every story.

This particular story touched me in a profound way. I cannot explain exactly what it was about the leading man that made me fall hard. I instantly connected to his character and hung off the author's every word. He was a delicious mystery that I had to desperately solve. It was such a rush to read his story and he owns a piece of my heart and memories. 4 stars.

I can't get over how every new Satan's Devils book completely blows away the one before. Ms Mellett isn't afraid to stretch and twist the genre of MC romances to create something new. Road's life took a nasty spill and he doesn't know how to manage his bitter disappointment. To give him a new focus, to give him time to wrap his head around his new circumstances, Drummer gives him a mission. Take an easy road trip and check in with the Utah chapter. Something doesn't sit right and when Drummer has a hunch, he follows it. Road takes this opportunity and starts to feel better in no time. When he strolls into a building that doesn't look anything like a clubhouse, he has no clue how strange the truth really is. This was an amazing, intense read that made it impossible to put down. This amazing cover completely sums up Road's reaction and is now one of my favorites. I cannot recommend this author and her incredible books enough!

Well, THAT was unexpected!!! This book was different than the others, but that is what made it oh so good!! Manda has quite a way with keeping her readers on their toes! This book was nothing as it seemed and full of twists and turns. I didn't know quite what to think at first. This is Road's story. He is a member of the Arizona chapter and is tasked with going to check on the Utah chapter after his world is turned upside down. Drummer thinks all is not as it seems in Utah. Road is recovering from a career ending accident and needs a change of scenery. Upon arriving in Utah, he walks into something he could not have even imagined! This includes a bad ass woman called Swift whom he is immediately taken with. This is all I can give you friends!! You have to read to find out all of the awesomeness Manda gives out with this book!! LOVED IT!!!

This book is so different, has so many WTF moments with all the twists and turns in it. If I could give it 6 stars I would. Once again Manda Mellett has written a story that takes you away from reality.

Road and Swift have both experienced things in their lives that change them forever. Changes that not only effect their destiny, but who they are as individuals. Manda tells their story so well, that it feels like you become one of the characters. You can feel their insecurities, their fear, their happiness while reading the book.

There is not much more I can say to describe these characters or the book without giving away some major spoilers. So, when I say READ THE BOOK...READ THE BOOK!!!

Road’s injured leg ended his racing career but his Prez sends him in as a plant in another chapter. He has to choose between loyalty to his prez and his brothers or a new purpose in life . This author has a way of making each book that she writes unique. She’s like no one else writing Mc romances out there and her characters are always amazing and have layers you peel away as you become more immersed in the story . She doesn’t shy away from disability, race, or tough topics . Does Road choose his brothers and prez or does he find a new purpose and love ? It all may cost him his life .

Road Tripped (Satan's Devils MC Utah #1) by Manda Mellett was a great 5 star read.
I couldn’t wait to get started on the first book in the series. Once you get started you will not want to put it down.

Road is having a hard time accepting that he will no longer be able to participate in his favorite sport. To get his mind off of things and get him out of the club for a break, he is sent to go check on the Utah chapter and see what secrets they are keeping. This is where he meets Swift, there is something special about her that pulled Road in.

Will he find out what is going on with the chapter? Will he be able to move on from his past?

Overall I really enjoyed this read. Both characters were great and all of the secondary characters added a great element to the story. There are several twists and turns that I didn’t see coming. We also get some very steamy moments. The author does a great job with her writing and pulls you right in. This is a great start to a new MC series and I can’t wait to read the next book in the series. 1-click and get started today.

This is a book that is only suitable for those over 18, due to the adult content throughout.

This book starts with Road who has just been in a serious accident as is on his way to recovery, the only trouble is, he will never be able to compete in his beloved sport any longer and this is a future that he is really struggling to accept. This is making him a time bomb which could go off any second and everyone around him knows it and is on eggshells around him.

When he is summoned in to see his Prez, Drummer, he is worried about what the outcome may be, he knows his fuse is short and that he isn’t dealing well with things, but he does not know whether or not this is something his Prez is going to continue to allow. This is where his Prez surprises him with a suggestion which could help.

This suggestion is for him to have a change of scenery and go to visit another chapter, in Road’s case, this is the one down in Utah. Drummer is worried that something is going on in Utah, not that it is a bad thing, they haven’t shown any reason for his worry, apart from that things are just too right at the club and he has a gut feeling that something is quite as it should be. Road is surprised, but is willing to accept that Drummer is trying to help, but he wonders why, out of all his brothers, Drummer has chosen him of all people!

As Road prepares to leave and set off for his road trip, he knows that it will be a slow one with the pain from his injuries reducing the amount of time which he can spend in the saddle. Even so, he hopes the time away will help him to clear his head so that when he comes back home, he will be back somewhat to his usual happy self.

When he gets close to the club, the idea that a warm welcome and a bed to sleep in is surely on the cards at least, but other than that, he truly has no idea of exactly what he will be walking into and this is where the story really begins.

What Road finds at the Utah branch will change his perceptions and life forever, but what that means for him is something that he may not have much time to figure out. In this tale of twists and turns, unexpected trials, tribulations and choices which have to be made, will Road be able to handle it, or is he in over his head before he has even walked through the front door? Only time will tell.

Wow! This book! This story! If anything could go wrong it does. It’s full of twists and turns as well as emotion. I’m going to try very hard to not give anything away. Utah certainly is a different sort of MC. But what they do have in common with all the others is their want, need and ability to trust their brothers and have each other’s backs. This story takes us in a trek through uncharted territory with this Utah group.

I loved learning, meeting and greeting all these new characters. As with any great storyteller, the author left enough unanswered questions that those with curious minds will want to know more. I will say my notes on this group have already been written over more times than I can say.

Swift is a different sort of female lead. She is strong..physically and Mentally(most of the time) She has confidence in spades (again most of the time). I liked her because she portrays a tough exterior and thinks she doesn’t have the normal female thoughts and emotions. She has had to fit herself to live in a mans world. Then Road come along.

Road hasn’t been a fav character usually because he is a background guy. I am glad he got his own story. He impressed me as i watched him grow and change in here. I can really fell the emotion and loss that Road feels throughout the book. The author does a great job with that.

Of course we get to see the boys from the Mother Chapter (so excited!). I loved seeing Drummer get all riled up throwing his dominance around. It’s been a while since I have seen him in action. (Smiling fondly) i love seeing how his brain works not discounting all the actions of the brothers he brought with him as well. It’s great seeing them all again.

Overall this is another great book by this author. I love all the interweaving she has done in this book..as well as the others. As always I look forward to more

Road Tripped (Satan’s Devils MC Utah #1) by Manda Mellett

5 ++++ Stars

And yet another totally different take on The Satan’s Devils MC. Every book has something that makes it stand out from all the others, this one though did that with not only the book but the new break off series, a different chapter. I gotta say I was so worried about the 1st part of this story, would I get invested in this chapter? Well I did, and really quick once I started figuring things out. Even though every book has its own difference, and every chapter their own stories, one thing always remains the same..The Satan’s Devils MC is a family and I absolutely love them all!

This one had me so invested that even when I put it down to do “real life” things, I couldn't get it off my mind. I had no clue how this was all going to play out and I literally was scared to death at reactions from all over the chapters. The end of the last book I read in this series had me curious about some names I hadn't heard before, and they were somehow involved in “stuff”. Yea, involved doesn't even describe it LOL

I'm seriously afraid to say too much because this book needs to be experienced with no knowledge of what is going on. Just know that this is Road's story, and what a story it was, I had so many emotions just trying to figure out what he should do and how he should do it and I was a complete mess. I was most worried about 1 person’s reaction, and could almost feel that explosion coming through my kindle.

I'm done, I can't say anymore, I'm just hoping that returning to UTAH doesn't take too long and I'm praying it's going to be about who I hope it is. So many questions there and need to know his future.

Loved it, and if you haven't picked up any of these books you really are missing out!!

In Road Tripped, we are introduced to the Utah chapter of Manda Mellett’s Satan’s Devils MC. Wow! I had been a bit sceptical – were there not enough Satan’s Devils chapters already? – but Utah really adds something new to the series and a whole new family of characters to get to know.
Swift is fantastic! Possibly my favourite character in the series so far. She is so cool and skilled and strong, but the thing that sealed the deal for me was when she reveals that she has Yorkshire Tea shipped over to America by her British parents. As a resident of Yorkshire, I have been known to bring a few boxes of our superior tea to relatives across the pond!
Something that really stands out in this book was the representation of disabilities. There are multiple characters with different disabilities, and these are represented sensitively and consistently. Road, for example, has a damaged knee from an accident. He can’t ride for more than a few hours at a go, so when he’s riding a longer distance it takes a few days as he needs to stop along the way. But over a short distance he’s faster than any of the other bikers. If he’s been standing for too long, someone usually notices and offers him a chair. We see him taking painkillers, using a walking stick, strapping his knee and doing physio exercises. Mostly, this is peripheral to the story and the action but it feels realistic and representative.
This book definitely gets five stars from me! I cannot WAIT to read more about the Utah chapter. Is it a good place to come into the series? I feel like I enjoyed it more having read some of the main Tucson series in particular, to get to know people like Drummer and Blade. You absolutely could jump in here though, as we get enough background for everything to make sense.

I’ve been binging all the books in the Satan’s Devils series since I read Turning Wheels weeks ago. I’ve loved them all up until now. Sadly this book was a HUGE miss for me. I didn’t like that the entire Utah chapter was lying to the mother chapter for 15+ years. Really? No one EVER visited? Drummer and the other chapters were just too smart to have been so oblivious to this huge coverup for so long. And I *really* hated that Road just agreed to lie to his President for people he just met who were masters at lying and were clearly using the MC and its name to hide behind. For someone who would supposedly die for his brothers he sure gave them up quick enough when asked. It didn’t help that Road has never been a big part of any previous books so I wasn’t even invested in him as a member and couldn’t help but feel his betrayal of his brothers was like a knife in the back. There was also no chemistry between Road & Swift. Their relationship if you can call it that was forced at best. And I absolutely don’t feel that true MCs should have female members. It’s just not done. And the explanation for why the Utah chapter thought it was ok per their interpretation of the club charter was pretty lame.

And then barely any blowback for having deceived the entire MC for all those years? All is just accepted/forgiven? Such a huge disappointment. It really just feels like this book was written by a different person than the one who wrote all the books before this one. I still love the series. I’ll still keep reading but won’t read any other books about this chapter.

Road Tripped (Satan’s Devils MC Utah #1)
By Manda Mellett
5 out of 5 stars

I loved reading the book Road Tripped (Satan’s Devils MC Utah #1) by Manda Mellett. It is a romantic suspense story that pulled me in from the beginning and didn’t let me go until the final page. It had me turning pages wondering what was going to happen next. I have read several books by the author and have never been disappointed. She does an amazing job of making both the storyline and the characters come alive. I loved that characters from her other books make an appearance in this one. The main character is sent to the Utah chapter of Satan’s Devils by Drummer to find out why they are so secretive. This time is also to be used to clear his head from the fact that he would not be able to participate professionally in the one sport that he loved so much. What will he find in Utah? Read this book to find out. I enjoyed reading about the two main characters in this story. I could feel the comradery that is between members of the MC club and also the new relationships that are forming. There are some twists that I didn’t see coming. There are also romantic moments that will make the temperature in the room rise. Don’t miss out on the first book in the Utah Chapter of Satan’s Devils. It is a story that is exciting and entertaining to read. I highly recommend reading it.

5 Stars!
Well Manda Mellett is killing it again! I am not 100% into this chapter yet, but it is only the first book of the series and I always seem to fall in love with all of Manda Mellett’s books in the end. I really enjoy seeing all the characters from the previous books mentioned, it shows how they are all connected. My heart hurt for Road, the fact that he couldn’t do what he loved the most really affected him and turned his life around, for the worst it seems. He felt lost, and of course his chapter president notices and sends him on a mission to get himself out of his own head. Introducing the first female in the brotherhood, Swift. She is seriously a badass especially with the complications she has, she doesn’t let that slow her down and rises through the ranks in the end. Road and Swift’s relationship is wonderful to watch unfold. I am SUPER happy that there was a female incorporated into the Satan’s Devils, it gave the story so much more depth. There is so much drama and action in this book, with Road trying to figure out what the Utah chapter is hiding, trying to stay alive and keeping Swift safe. I always think to myself, how much longer can these books go on? This author is truly and supremely talented in coming up with so many different stories and scenarios for these bikers. I am always blown away by the end.

Road Tripped is the first book in a new series of Satan’s Devils MC books by Manda Mellett, this tome set in the Utah Chapter. When Manda introduced the San Diego Chapter, I admitted to being worried beforehand that I wouldn’t gel with the new Chapter. How wrong I was! This time I had no worries as I knew that Manda wouldn’t let me down. However as I started reading she threw me for a loop. These guys seemed nothing like the other Chapters and I started to panic. Silly me! Or course Manda was just playing with us and these guys soon found a place in my heart.
Our main character Road we have met before as he was a member of the mother chapter and had travelled to Utah after an accident which left him no longer able to compete in trial bike riding. What he discovers is a totally different type of Satan’s Devils Chapter, whose ways he is intrigued by and decides to spend some time there. What he least expects is a woman who totally knocks him for 6. Swift is unlike any other women he has ever met. She’s ex British Army and is as feisty as hell. You certainly don’t want to get on her wrong side.
As always, with Satan’s Devils books, this is more than just a romance story, Manda Mellett has written yet another amazing storyline that is gripping, exciting and full of danger.
Having now been introduced to so many new brothers, I can’t wait to read their stories.

Road Tripped (Satan's Devils MC Utah #1)by Manda Mellett

5out of 5 stars

Road Tripped is the first book in the Satan’s Devils Utah chapter written by Manda Mellett. I have really enjoyed reading Ms. Mellett’s MC series and I have read quit a few of them. The characters are strongly written and I loved this Utah chapter with their quirkiness and the way it played off each other. The plot was awesome with a few twists and turns and some secrecy.
Road has had dreams and now they will not come true due to another rider’s misjudgment, and his trial bike competition days were over. One split second and something that wasn’t your fault, stops you from participating in your chosen sport just when you are nearing the top? He was angry and he knew and nobody understand yes, he could still ride a bike but he could not ride in competitions.
Now his president asked him to go visit another chapter and see what is up with them yes, they are nice enough but his president thinks there is something fishy going on in the Utah chapter. The road should help him clear his head when he gets their he finds things you would never imagine.
Will Road get the answers for Drummer? Will he be-able to keep Utah’s secrets and go against his president and lie? Will Drummer understand when everything comes out or will he kick the Utah chapter out.
You will really need to read this story to find out.

What a great way to start a spin-off series! Road Tripped is the first book in the Satan’s Devils MC Utah series by Manda Mellett. In this book we start off in Tucson with Roadrunner aka Road. Drummer, the President of the Tucson chapter sends Road on a little road trip up to Utah to visit that chapter to clear his head and see what they are up to. Road was at the point of tasting victory when one accident cleared him of that. That one accident took every bit of his dream, so where does he go from here? Now, the Utah chapter is pretty different from all the others. Here he meets, Swift and boy does she take him for a loop. Not only does she take him for a loop, but so does the entire Utah chapter. Will learning about this club put him in danger of life or will it be just what he needs in order to find his way again? This book was better than I thought it would be. I was pulled in from the get go and couldn’t put it down. There was this constant mystery of who this Utah chapter really is and whether or not Road will leave alive. Not to mention this attraction to a woman that he has no business being attracted to. All of the characters and their back stories were amazing. There were so many twists and turns to make me want to continue to read the book. I cannot wait for the next book to come out!
