Cognitive methods have be well thought out to help learn the language phonetically and in written forms. The vocabulary builds upon itself as you advance through the lessons and allows good integration of new words while retaining the previous vocabulary that has already been learned. In regards to the tapes that come with the book, they follow the book seamlessly and offer great examples of pronunciation, accent, and inflection.

I enjoyed this book years ago when I was actively learning Hebrew, and I've decided to pick it up again. The lessons are interesting and humorous, and make learning Hebrew enjoyable. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to study modern Hebrew on their own time.
