Will Ransome was born into rock and roll royalty. His dad and uncles make up the most popular rock band in recent history. His siblings and cousins had instruments in their hands before they were old enough to read. Music is in his blood.
But Will wants nothing to do with it.
Will learned the hard way that fame and fortune are not all they’re cracked up to be. There’s a dark side to the rock and roll life, and Will had a front row seat to the destruction it caused. Now he’s determined to stay far from his famous father’s footsteps.
Eva Lidell was poised to be the next big thing when her world came crashing down. Instead of enjoying life as America's foremost pop princess, Eva now spends most of her time hiding away from the world she can no longer trust.
When Will meets Eva, something he didn’t even know was missing clicks into place. The sparks between them are instantaneous. Overwhelming. Dangerous. For the first time, both Will and Eva think they might be able to share their bruised and battered hearts with someone else...
Until Eva decides it's time for her to give superstardom another try, leaving Will to wonder if they have any chance together. How can he fall in love with a woman determined to work her way back to the same spotlight that nearly ruined his life?
All things Ransom are awesome and this one did not disappoint.
Not many authors could write eight stories about a family, then skip over many years, and continue on with the story of their children grown up.
Rachel Schurig did just that with this story of Cash and Sam's son Will.
Will meets Eva and is instantly attracted to her but when he finds out she's a "pop princess" his fear kicks in.
Memories of a past girlfriend, ruined by the industry has Will pulling back. On top of that he hasn't had the best relationship with his father and uncles in years.
Eva has her own demons and well as some physical issues putting a damper on her life but she can't seem to back away from Will.
Well, both their stories being revealed and them coming together is just amazing! I read through this book like wildfire. I loved how it was a new story, new generation but Daltrey, Cash, Lennon, Reed and all the gang make an appearance and the family dynamic is just perfect!
I would really like to be invited to the Tennessee farm!
On to Rose's book, I mean like right now! Here's to another late night!
When Eva finds herself brave she gets a tattoo and Will and Eva hit it off right away. Eva's friends are sweet and protective and I love them. Dennis is Eva's manager and you dislike him right away. Finding a happy place with a sweet friendship in place more happens for this duo to get them.out of the friends zone and into a relationship. will almost messes it up completely with his lack of sharing.
This is a sweet romance with some twists. A story of trust of family love.
Sing for Me is an awesome follow up to the Ransom series. You get to see the Ransom family several years after the book has left off- and how everyone is doing.
This book centers around Cash Ransome's son- Will. Now an adult- he is battling within himself over his passion and his birthright. It doesn't help that Eve pulls out of him everything he tried to avoid.
The fun family hijinks are still there- but my only criticism is that it's hard to follow who is who. There are 17 Ransome littles (not to mention some non-blood related family) that I can't place which family they belong to. When they speak of "Mom" or "Dad" I can't follow. I know this is totally Nora Roberts of me, but a flow chart would help.
That being said- I am totally invested in this family and can't wait to read the other books!
Oh my, I really love Will and Eva and pretty much everything about this book! I was a bit unsure when I heard the author was going to fast forward in time so that we could see the Ransome kids all grown up and follow their lives instead of the Ransome brothers. However, this is the perfect follow-on to the series. Rachel gets it just right so that we get glimpses into the lives of the characters we love but while introducing their children in particular, in this book, Cash’s son Will. I’m so glad the author posted on Facebook the family tree so that I could keep up with who was who. I referred to this many times while reading the book. So if you’ve not seen this, I suggest you have a look as it really does help. It gives you all the cousins ages as well; there are so many of them; it’s hard to keep up with them all. Will is such a fantastic character as is Eva. I loved Eva’s vulnerability, this was written beautifully, and you really cared for her. There is plenty of mystery from the two that is slowly unravelled as the book progresses. They are so sweet together as well. All of the characters feel like real people, not made up and named by the author. I kept thinking how ingenious the names the brothers had come up with for their children and then remembering, no that accolade belongs to the author! I can’t wait to see what Rachel has in store for us next in this Ransome world; I’m really excited to get Rose’s story next as there were a few tidbits dropped here and there to whet the appetite. Also, like all of the brothers, we are most fascinated with Rosa as she was the firstborn!! Overall, a superb book and a great addition to the Ransome series. It was so great to be back in this world again and to see all of the brothers and their wives all grown up.

Another success from Rachel Schurig. As a long time reader of Rachel's books it is a little strange to be taking such a jump forward in time, but this doesn't distract from the enjoyment of Will's story
The story is told by alternating between the 2 main characters- the style of writing in which Rachel Schurig excels. As usual the reader is torn between appreciation of understanding both viewpoints as the frustration of wishing one character could understand the other better.
For those who are new to Rachel's books she provides a reader which looks more deeply into the mind of her characters than your average "happy ever after" and without being overly soppy or explicit. This works fine as a standalone, if you enjoy it then I'd recommend the rest of the Ransomme series but I think reading the series of this generation (hopefully the others will follow soon) before reading about their parents would work just as well as reading about the parents first (in the original series we meet the siblings before the parent).
For Rachel fans, its nice to catch up with "old friends" in the Ransomme brothers and their wives although we only get glimpses into the adult versions of the characters we knew. Theres also a few teasers around the stories of the other new characters which means you finish the book wanting more. In fact I'm torn between who's story I want next.
Overall an enjoyable read for anyone who enjoys this genre. Definitely recommend
I was over the moon when I got the email about this book being released. It's like visiting family that you haven't seen for a while. I was pulled straight into this book from the get go. That's where I stayed until I had read every single word that was written. I also managed to get have it playing out in my head, in my mini movie. There are surprises all the way through the story, some are large, some are small, some you may see coming while others you won't. Some may pull on your heart strings, while others may hit you square in the face. But regardless of how the surprises come to you, each and everyone of them hold equal importance with in the story. Emotions run all the way through the book, I went through each and everyone of them along with the character that was going through them at the time. But I did find I got frustrated a little more than the characters, I will say if your anything like me you might want to have the tissues at hand, I needed them. Rachel Schurig has done it again, another awesome book to add to her list. I am so happy that the Ransom family are back, I have missed them. I highly recommend both author and her books, I don't think you will be disappointed.
I really liked this story. The writing really drew me in I completely connected with the characters. This was a very angsty emotional story, that had me in tears are various times throughout it.
Will and Eva are the perfect match for each other. They had lots of chemistry.
Will is a wonderful and understanding. He is sweet, loving, protective of Eva. Even though he had some stuff to workout with his family (which was awesome by the way) he really did try to get past his hang ups without the help of his family. His family and their dynamic was one of the nest parts of this story. They truly love and support each other, it was such a cool part of the story that help builds for the next book.
Eva is a strong FMC considering everything that she has gone through, both emotionally and physically. She is very similar to Will, so I think that really enhanced the relationship I got to watch them build.
My only complaint would be the clean steam. I like a lot more spicy detail, but if you don't this story is perfect for you.
This is one of the best books I’ve read in a while. The story was unique and it was sometimes hard to keep up with so many characters, but I think the author did a great job with giving all the characters likeable and interesting personalities. The relationships between the characters was also one of my fave things about the book, it was so well written. It was also refreshing that both Eva and Will had family and friends that had their backs no matter what. The strong support system was so heartwarming to read.
I also liked reading the progression of Eva & Will’s journeys both individually and together. I liked that Eva was not the typical pop star type of character and she had depth to her. Will did frustrate me sometimes though, but he made up for it in the end (Although I would’ve liked a bit more grovelling from him). This was such a good read.
As always Rachel delivers a cohesive and engaging narrative, with well likeable characters and my favouirte - the dual pov. Even though I hadn't read the earlier Ransom series, Sing For Me was easy to follow and I devoured it in two sittings.
Will was a fantastic main character, I loved his chapters - and that charming, funny Tattoo Guy worked his way into my heart. I loved Eva too, she was witty and sharp and so, so strong. Without getting too into it - the underlying tension between Will and his family was perfectly drawn out and came to a satisfying conclusion; and his interactions with his family, especially his siblings and the 'Littles' were a pleasure to read.
I'm looking forward to reading more from Rachel in this universe!
Definitely check out the family tree that Rachel shared on Facebook - made a huge difference for me!

Loved this book! I loved the original Ransom books and this was just perfect. Getting snippets of what the originals are up to and being able to follow their children’s journey was wonderful. I’m keeping everything crossed there is more on the way! As so much was hinted at with the other children I can’t wait to find out more!
Will and Eva’s story is so gripping, it had me laughing and at one point I burst into tears (got a funny look off my kids at that point 🙈). I couldn’t put it down and read the whole thing in two sittings! Like I said I’m hoping this will be the first of many books about the next generation of Ransoms!
So back are with the ransoms and I can’t tell you quite how happy I am to be back! These people feel like family, I have read and re read the original series. I’m not always a massive fan of spin offs, this story centres on cash and sams son will. He is a troubled soul and when he meets eve he finds a connection he wasn’t even looking for. Their story is beautiful, heartbreaking and soul warming. As I said I’m not always a fan of spin offs but this was perfectly in keeping with the original series and just felt like another instalment not a poor relation. I’d recommend this to everyone, and if you haven’t read the original series, where have you been??? Read them all now!!
Will and Eva!! Two people who you would think would never work out are the two people who need each other the most. Who need the other to help them heal in all the ways they are to scared to. But what happens when you have been fighting the healing for so long you closed it off and don’t know how?? Your family has your back weather kicking your butt till you realize it or just never giving up on you!!
I loved seeing the Ransom boys back and all their crazy kids running around and growing up!! I can’t wait for roses story!! Girls got some spunk!

I reread the random books during my pregnancy so was extremely excited when I found out there would be the next generations stories. I've not been able to stop reading this book. You're thrown straight back into it and it's great having the ransome brothers and their wives as familiar characters with their children who you instantly love just as much. I love that characters from the Rachel's other book series make little appearances in the book so it really gives something back to those that have read her books for a while.
I enjoyed this rockstar romance. The story follows Eva, a pop superstar recovering from a horrific accident, and Will, tattoo artist and member of a musical family who wants nothing to do with the family business. As their relationship develops, each realizes that the other has some kind of past trauma that they aren't sharing, which has the potential to tear them apart. The pace of the plot was good, and I appreciated that it got steamy, but most of the intimacy happened behind closed doors.
I genuinely couldnt stop reading! I am beyond excited for the rest of the series! I often think that Rachel Schurig cant top her previous books and again, I am blown away and super excited for what is to come! 10/10 doesnt even do it justice. A perfect book for avid fans or for people who havent read about the 1st generation!

The original series about the Ransome brothers was so good, so I was hoping that this new series would be just as good. I was not disappointed. This story about Will and Eva has the right amount of angst and character growth to make you not want to put the book down. Plus, the peaks at the other “kids” leave you wanting more stories.

I finished this book with a smile on my face. A heartwarming, feel good story about the strength of family, relationships and the importance of them in our lives. Whilst highlighting how easy it can be to damage those same relationships, if they’re not treated with care. This is the first book I’ve read in the Ransom Family, even though I think it’s the last. I will be going back to the start and reading them all.
After reading the first Ransom books it was neat reading one about Will, who is Cash's son. Will meets Eva at his tattoo shop and an attraction blossoms between them. They both have past issues they are dealing with and the book keeps you wondering if they will get over things and finally realize they are meant to be together. Looking forward to reading more books by this author.
Continuing the Ransome stories with the many offspring of the brothers. I loved this book, though I nearly needed a spreadsheet to remind me exactly which kids belonged to which brothers... and Levi! :-) I would really like to continue reading these books about the next generation, but unfortunately they are not available on Kindle Unlimited. For those of you who can afford it, I highly recommend this author.
I read straight through the night! I love baby Will from the series but grown-up Will is amazing. This book balances the old Ransom family charm with new 2nd generation sweetness. This is a complete stand-alone book but you do yourself a disservice not reading the original series and novellas as well. Sweet story, lots of heart, 11/10 recommend
Well Rachel has hit the top spot with this book again. I havent read the random books for a while but it reignited my brain and the memories came back.
You don't have to read the others, but once you have read this you will want to.
Will and Eva meet and click and wow do the sparks fly......
Get reading as once you start ypu wont wanna put it down
I love the Ransome brothers and their families. I loved reading about the kids all grown up and seeing how wonderful the whole family is. Will and Evas story is tough and hard to figure out but just beautiful. Definitely worth a read. Can’t wait to read about the rest of the kids - there are a lot of them so hoping for a ton of books@RachelSchurig!
I enjoyed Sing For Me. The emotion and characters are strong. The conflict is realistic. The writing is well done, although a proofreader would help. There were several missing words but that didn’t detract from the story. This is my first by this author but I will look for more.
Will is a tattoo owner/artist who is assigned to give Eva her first tattoo on a bet among her friends. There is electric feelings between them only to meet again at a fund raiser put on by his family. She is a pop star and he is the son of a very popular rock group. It is an awesome read involving a fire and drug use.
I was so excited that the kids get their own stories!! Will’s story was so good. I love the story line between Will and Eva. I got me so drawn in right at the beginning and loved to see how both of them worked out their issues and also loved hearing about the whole family. So good!!
Sing For Me, Ransom Family Novel by Rachel Schurig. Wow, I loved this! Will and Eva’s story is fantastic! Fantastic characters! I can’t wait to read more about this family! Definitely a must read!
I really enjoyed this book. Loved the characters. Loved that seeking help for mental health was put in a positive light. I loved them as a couple. It was all sweet.
