Three souls bound by fate, full of mistrust and hate.
Call me crazy, but Buffy had it easy. She had friends and a know-it-all librarian. I’ve got a dead family and a whole lot of trauma—oh yeah, and a lifetime of training to fight monsters I didn’t even think existed.
Until now.
Until they killed everyone I ever loved.
Now, I’m the only one left who knows that something sinister is going on in the darkness. Most people might have let it go. They might have tried to move on and live a normal life.
I’m not most people.
They came after me first. They wanted to spill my blood? Well, now it’s my turn. And I’ll use everything in my arsenal to do it—even if it means giving into Maverick McKnight and Torin Priest.
It takes a monster to destroy a monster, so a monster I will become.
Book 1 Review: This book checked ALL my boxes! Multiple lovers, fantasy, steamy, badass FMC with a filthy mouth, plot twists, and an already completed series! What more could a girl ask for? I was completely drawn in by this story from start to finish. If I could have read it in one sitting, I would have. When I did set it down (because life), it was all I thought about! Now excuse me while I go bury my nose in book two!
Book 2 Review: This series only gets better! This book made me laugh, made my heart race, made my heart stop, and took me on a ride I wasn't expecting. It certainly is an emotional rollercoaster, and the ride is one I highly recommend! Just make sure you buckle up, cuz the twists and turns are coming.
Book 3 Review: What a great ending! Just like the previous books in the series, it is also a full-on emotional rollercoaster. There were certainly twists and turns that I wasn't expecting, and this is epic conclusion that we've all been waiting for delivers above and beyond. I also love that the ending is also left open for more to come in this world. Maybe we'll see some of our favorite characters again!
After Story: There's only one word needed to describe this boxset after story: HOT!
Quick and dirty facts: - Complete series - Barbie: Badass and smartass FMC - 17 years old - Sexy vampires - Menage - Urban Fantasy/Paranormal Romance - Medium Burn - Revenge - Multi POV
Kind of formulaic and YA feeling, despite having some pretty graphic sex and violent scenes. The writing feels immature. The characters, while I understand why the characters are the ages they are (still in the "system", young enough to still need guardians, etc.), they were way to young to be as "mature" and knowledgeable as they are portrayed. Still super annoyed that MC let MMC get away with turning her. Felt like he didn't deserve forgiveness quite so quickly, and MC was too quick to get over it.

From the beginning Barbie’s story was never boring. This book literally has everything I love about kick a** female main character fantasy. Don’t even get me started on her dynamic with Torin and Maverick. Both in and out of the bedroom their relationship had me captivated and eagerly awaiting every minute of its progress. Definitely one of the best series I’ve read this year.
Good series with all the twist. I loved Torin and Marvin. But Barbie frustrated me because she acted like a brat throughout the series. I don’t think she was a badass female by three book. I almost didn’t finish the series because of her.
