This is the shortest yet of this 3-part series, and I tend to feel odd rounding a mere 3.5± short story up to 4 stars. It has the requisite telling-the-'team' scenes for a good "Tony leaves" fic, including some home truths that *might* make at least McGee think, definitely making Abby think about just how "the glue that is [trying to keep] holding the team together" might feel, etc.
Then just when I was starting to worry about the SGC not fulfilling Tony either, an exciting new turn to his duties is revealed! As with Part 2 (PCS, i.e., Permanent Change of Station), the hint is in the title. Too bad this series is just about the transition, because I'd love to see more, *SPOILER-ISH* in the field.
(I debated leaving the stars blank, but since this installment didn't have anything really eye-opening — though I like the glue metaphor — I rounded down.)
