Scenes and language are similar to an R-rated movie...18+ only.
As an Award Winning and International Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Kobo Best Selling Author, I have always been an avid reader. I joke that I "cut my romance teeth" on the old historical romance books. I’ve written as a hobby for over 30 years. In 2014, I finally gave in to the characters in my head pleading for their story to be told. Thus, Emma's Home was created.
My first novel, Emma's Home became an Amazon Best Seller in 3 categories within the first month of publishing. Its success was followed by the rest of the Fairfield Series and then led into the Love's Series. From there I have continued with the romantic suspense Alvarez Security Series and now the Saints Protection & Investigation Series.
My books are filled with sweet romance and hot sex; mystery, suspense, real life characters and situations. My heroes are alphas, take charge men who love the strong, independent women they fall in love with. I worked as a counselor in a high school and have been involved in education for the past 30 years. I recently retired and now can spend more time devoted to my writing.
I have been married to a wonderfully patient man for 35 years and have 2 adult, very supportive daughters. When writing, my dog or one of my cats will usually be found in my lap!
Love, love, loved this story! Clay is part of an investigation security company and most of his buddies there have met their SO’s through cases when they were in danger. He doesn’t want that kind of drama because he grew up in a home with parents who were ALL DRAMA & fighting.
“I didn’t want relationship challenges. I wanted easy. I wanted simple. I wanted to meet someone, develop a relationship, have feelings for each other, and move forward. I wanted everyone to be happy and get along.”
Clay meets Christina who plays violin in an orchestra. When the drama does catch up with them they learn that they can work together to find solutions.
This is one of those books that you can pick up, forget the world and start to finish, just get lost in the story. -5 Stars!-
Loved writing this book and especially the scenes of Celtic Festivals that I have so enjoyed visiting. Making my heroine a concert violinist who also plays for a Celtic band was fun and inspired by listening to hours of music. Clay and Christina were a couple that came together slowly but hopefully the reader loved seeing these two make beautiful music together.
One of the better ones that I read from her in a while. He wasn't a manwhore, not with others after meeting, no crazy misunderstanding that made one of them lose their minds... If you haven't kept up with the series you may be confused who all the side characters were but you still were able to go with the flow of the book.
Clay wanted to find a woman with no drama, and when he saw concert violinist Christina Monroe it appeared he found that. She was sweet and beautiful and the biggest issue was syncing their schedules. He had a new case and a new woman, all was well, or so he thought. Then he went to a Celtic Festival, heard a band, and to his shock the amazing fiddle player they called “Tiny” was his Christina. And suddenly her band was on the fringes of his investigation. Nothings easy, is it. Then again, this IS Maryann Jordan book, so you know to expect plenty of excitement and suspense and she does not disappoint. This book is amazing. There is just enough confusion that I couldn’t put it down until I found out how it all worked out. It was fabulous!! I loved the book and I love Maryann Jordan!
This is the eighth book in the Lighthouse Security Series and is Clay's story. This is a great series that just gets better and better. Clay was in some of the other books in the series but glad to see him featured in his own book. The book is well written with strong characters and an engaging story line that will keep you glued to your seat. This is Cay and Christina's story. She's a concert violinist and he found himself totally taken with her. Drama was not something that Clay wanted and he thought life with her would be quiet and drama free. Wow, how mistaken he was. She ends up being the center of one of his investigations and he's life suddenly went full stage drama. Plenty of twists and some secrets but a beautiful love story as only Maryann Jordan can write. A great read that I read as an arc from the author. I voluntarily chose to write a review.
This series just keeps getting better and better if possible and now it’s Clay’s turn to find the one. He isn’t really looking but knows what he wants....a woman who isn’t involved in a dangerous situation like how his other brothers found their one. Clay isn’t asking for much and when he meets Christina, a violinist in an orchestra, he strikes gold. Christina enjoys what she does, playing her violin, teaching music and her band gig. There are many facets to her and Clay is enjoying finding out each and every one...whether she is Christina or Tiny....could she be a Keeper? Oh Yes !!! Another amazing read with steam, lust/love, some suspense, and amazing characters all around. I LOVED the little to no drama between them and how easily they fit together, communicated and accepted each other no matter the circumstance. The story flowed beautifully and I couldn’t get enough of these two...can’t wait for the next one !! *I voluntarily read an advanced copy and expressed my honest opinion*
Clay is the next installment in the Lighthouse Keepers Investigations series. He has been a solid guy in several of the more recent stories so I was looking forward to his story. While all the stories stand alone, I recommend reading the previous stories to get a good lay of the land, though it is not necessary. (But you’ll want to because they’re excellent - especially the first one that kinda sets things up!) Thus is the story of Clay and Christina. Clay has been a part of the other guys’ stories as a part of the rescue of their women and while he didn’t mind rescuing their women he knew that he didn’t want that for himself. He wanted a woman that didn’t have so much conflict or drama in her life. Then he meets Christina who is an orchestral violinist and seemingly drama free and he falls head over heels for her. Little does he know that her secret side gig will create all sorts of drama in her life and in their relationship.
I LOVE this author and her many different series, and I especially love the LSI series, but I am not sure I love Clay as much as I have loved other heroes she has written. It might just be me but I just couldn’t connect with Clay like I have with the others. Clay’s upbringing was rough with parents who stayed together ‘for the sake of the child’ but whose constant warring with one another made his childhood rocky, sad and wary of relationships. All he wanted in life was peace and calm and he ended up alone which he thought he liked until he saw his fellow Keepers start to pair off and be happy with something he didn’t have. He is a true alpha hero who is sexy, protective and honorable but his unwillingness to have one ounce of issue in his life was off putting for me. Christina is just awesome! She is strong, sweet and kind and she brings light and ease into his world, which he begins to love and look forward to have more of. Her side gig is a violinist in a Celtic band and that band becomes involved in some unsavory things that brings her front and center in one of Clay’s investigations. He has no clue anything is going on but Clay isn’t happy with what’s going on and considers maybe scrapping the whole thing so he doesn’t have to deal with drama. Because Christina is awesome and he truly feels for her, he takes tiny steps toward working things out and realizes that not all conflict is bad and that good communication and your partner’s willingness to work with you make all the difference. He eventually comes around they find their happy ending after a bit more drama.
Overall this story is really good and the writing is excellent as always. I love seeing the other couples and catching up with them too! He of the things I enjoyed about this story is Christina’s occupation - a violinist! How fun and very different! What a cool occupation and in all my reading I have never seen this type of vocation before. Classical and Celtic music and is not my thing but reading about them kinda makes me want to take a listen! While I only liked, not loved, Clay, I absolutely LOVED Christina and their story was very good. A few little things about Clay didn’t resonate with me, but overall I did like the story and can’t wait for the next one. Will it be Cobb? Can wait to see!
I am voluntarily posting an honest review after reading an ARC copy of this book.
I loved this book! This might be my favorite Lighthouse Security Investigations book. Clay (Lighthouse Security Investigations, book 8) is about Clay and Christina (AKA Tiny). Clay has been in the other Lighthouse Security Investigations books, and has seen several members of the team fall in love with the women they have saved on their missions. After having grown up and listening to his Mom and Dad constantly scream at each other because they hated each other and were only together because of Clay, he wanted, more like needed, a relationship that was drama free. He did not want to meet someone on a mission and he truly was at a point in his life where he did not think he would find love. He does have a love of music, all genres, which he learned from him mother. He loves the symphony, which he attends on Friday nights during the symphony season. On night one of the symphony season it is there he sees Christina, the beautiful violinist. They go on a few dates and on one weekend where Christina said she is working at her second job in a band; Clay, his team and their wives go to the Irish fair, where he sees a beautiful violinist in this Irish band that is on stage playing. As Clay gets a good luck at the violinist, he is shocked to see it is Christina. When playing in the symphony Christina is in a long black dress, flat shoes with her hair up in a bun, but in the Irish band, she is known as Tiny, and she is in a short skirt, boots up to her knees with spiked heels, a tiny tank top, her hair is down, and she is dancing all over the stage while playing her violin. After getting over the shock and the fact that while she is on stage every male at the fair is drooling over her, he finds he is okay with her in this band…still a drama free relationship. Christina also tutors as another side gig. Okay, that is all I am saying because Clay and Christina’s story will take you on one hell of a ride. While there is a love story brewing with off-the chart-chemistry, dare I say, there is DRAMA!!! There I said it! This is not what Clay wanted, but Christina is everything he needed. What will he do?? Well, you are going to have to read Clay, book 8 in the Lighthouse Security Investigations series. I absolutely loved this book. There are also new members to the team, which means more books to the series!!!! Clay is a must read. Each book in the series can be read as a standalone, but it is best to start with Mace (Lighthouse Security Investigations, book 1) because the characters in this book have a place in each of the other books in the series, and you will know who they are. Truly, you cannot go wrong with a Maryann Jordan book. She delivers incredible stories that grab hold of you on page one and does not let go of you until the very end, and sometimes beyond that as you ponder each story afterwards. I cannot wait to read all about Cobb’s story. Thank you Maryann Jordan for another amazing book.
This is book 7 in the Lighthouse Security series and while it can be read as a standalone, I recommend reading the previous books just because most of those characters are seen in this book. In this one we get Clay and Christina's story. Clay has always said that he doesn't want a relationship with any drama or chaos. After going through the things he did in his childhood, he has no desire for his present relationships to be that way as well. Christina is a violinist with an orchestra. She is smart, talented, musical, and as far away from drama as he could get. But he doesn't expect for the secret she has been keeping to throw her directly into one of his investigations. But he will do whatever he has to do to keep her safe.
Ok let me start of by saying that I normally absolutely love all the books by this author, and while this one was good-it wasn't my favorite by her. I can understand not wanting any drama in your life, especially when you had a crappy childhood. But I felt like Clay almost harped on it to the point of annoyance. Yes, he didn't want it in his life-but it almost felt like if there was a single ounce of it (even if it wasn't her fault) that he would have been gone before he had a chance to realize that she could be his everything. Now, that isn't to say that I didn't like their story because I did! Clay is still the alpha, protective male that I always love. Christina is this beautiful soul who you just want to see every dream come true for. Yes, they are definitely perfect for each other. I just wanted to smack this man around a bit to get him to see that not everything is just drama. On a whole, the story was good, the writing was excellent, and for the most part I did like the characters! And, I would still reread it again as well! Just little things that knocked it down for me, and I think that was more about me than anything else! I still can't wait to read the next book, and I know I will be impatiently waiting for it as well!
Clay grew up surrounded by drama. Drama is the last thing he wants. All of his fellow Lighthouse Security teammates have found their HEA surrounded by drama. No thanks, it’s not for him. This view has also shaded his outlook on love. His parents always argued, never talking things out. So Clay thought differing opinions meant arguing. On a rare night off, Clay attends an orchestra concert and is enthralled with the violinist. After the concert, he waits in the lobby just to catch a glimpse in hopes of introducing himself. After several lobby “dates”, Clay finally talks Christina into a late dinner...
Christina, a concert and Celtic violinist, is not used to being pursued. She’s quiet, serious, and musically talented. Coming from a musical family, she’s expected to be better than most. Although music is her true love, she’s not sure she wants to follow in her parent’s footsteps. She’s most happy when teaching kids how to play the violin and performing in the Celtic band. When the actions of her band members become the focus of Clay’s current investigation, his “no drama” goes right out the window. He’ll do anything and everything to prove he’s the man for Christina.
Maryann Jordan has done it again. She weaves mystery and love effortlessly in her stories. I enjoyed the uniqueness of this story. To have a big, bad, Alpha guy enjoy orchestra music was AWESOME! He was such a softy, never wanting to voice his opinion for fear of fighting. Once he worked through that, he was exactly the man “Tiny” needed. The mystery and way the drugs were transported was a first for me. I loved it, a page-turner! I read a gifted copy and all opinions stated are my own.
This is book eight in The Lighthouse Security Investigations Series and it is Clay and Christina's story and omg I absolutely loved it. Clay works for lighthouse security where they are all handpicked and trained to be the best of the best and they never disappoint you. Clay has watched all his lighthouse family fall in love on a mission but he didn't want that what he wanted was to find someone that had no drama attached to them, well Clay things don't always go as planned, so with his love of music he went to a concert and heard someone playing the violin and it touched something in side him so he decided to try and meet that person. Christina played the violin in a orchestra and also with a band where she can let herself go with her music but when she meets Clay and they spend time together she realised that not only is he handsome but he is also gentle, caring, a true gentleman and makes her feel safe but both there schedules are really busy so they make the most of there time together but what will Christina do when she finds out what Clay's job entails and will they get a chance of a future together. Clay and Christina have strong connection and chemistry between them and the characters and storyline pulls you in right from the first page and I couldn't put this book down. Maryann Jordan is an amazing author and writer and I have read all of her books and she never disappoint her reader's. I definitely recommend you read this book, series and other books by her and you will absolutely love every single one. I Voluntarily Reviewed an Arc Copy of this book.
Clay wants a relationship that doesn't start embroiled in a case. He finds that when he follows his love of music to the symphony. A concert violinist catches his eye when she performs a solo and he makes it a point to get to know her.
Christina takes a chance on the handsome admirer, and accepts the invite to breakfast after the concert. This becomes a routine with them as they get to know each other. He knows she has other groups she plays with and she also teaches private students. She is very far removed from his job and his current case.
He gets one big surprise though when the LSI folks attend a Celtic Festival. After watching the sporting events for a while they head to the food and music. It's the music that startles him especially when he sees the violinist.
Everyone is delighted to meet Christina and even Clay has to admit he loves the Celtic music. For the first time since playing at a festival she actually took the time with Clay to explore. Checking out the jewelry and clothing as well as the food. In spite of her having a roommate they made time to be together and now even spend time at Clay's home.
It's not long after this that Clay and the guys find Christine on the fringes of their investigation. It really was just a coincidence until it's not.
I think this is my favorite in the series so far. The investigation heats up as does Christina and Clay's relationship. There's many twists and turns, plenty of suspense and a bit of hold your breath action as well.
‘The Lighthouse SI Keepers were men and women from the SEALs, Rangers, Special Forces, Deltas, and AF Special Ops. All having been trained in CIA Special Ops, the Keepers were the best of the best and ready to take on any mission.’
Clay is the eighth book in the Lighthouse Security Investigations series by Maryann Jordan. This collection is a thrilling blend of romantic suspense, military action, and heartfelt human connection. Each book follows a member of the elite “Keepers” who are former SEALs, Rangers, Special Forces (and other top-tier operatives) who now work for Lighthouse Security, a private agency dedicated to protecting lives and uncovering the truth. There is a great balance between high-stakes action and the (deep) emotional arcs. The missions are intense, with well-paced suspense and clever twists - but the real heart of each story lies in the relationships, and not just the romance between leads, but also the camaraderie among the team. The settings are vivid, from coastal safehouses to international danger zones, and the author’s attention to tactical detail adds realism without bogging down the storyline/pace. Each book can be read as a standalone - but in saying that, reading them in consecutive order will reward you with a richer understanding of the team’s (evolving) dynamics. If you enjoy protective heroes, resilient heroines, and a mix of danger, loyalty, and love - then this series delivers consistently satisfying reads. Happy Reading…
LSI Keeper Clay doesn't want drama in his personal life having grown up with constantly warring parents who turned every disagreement in a battleground. When he meets beautiful, talented violinist Christina at a concert their chemistry is instant and Clay believes he's hit the relationship jackpot and found the balance he craves - meet a woman he's attracted to, date her and see where it leads, it's simple and no drama in sight. However, life with Christina turns out to be anything but simple and drama free when her alter ego Tiny turns up on the edges of an LSI mission tracking drug smugglers. Clay soon realises that whatever he may have wished for his life isn’t so different from his fellow Keepers after all as he finds himself in a desperate race to keep Christina safe. Another great LSI story with the perfect ingredients - interesting plot, action and suspense, fabulous music (I heard it all perfectly in my head), heat, wonderful characters plus the promise of more LSI Keeper stories to come, all set against the beautiful Maine scenery that I have never visited but have no problem picturing thanks to Maryann Jordan. Definitely a favourite series, always enjoyable and this latest instalment is highly recommended. I received an arc from the author and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review.
We are back in Maine and the brave men and women of Lighthouse Security Investigations. All former Special Ops and/ or CIA, whose mission is to keep others safe. Working at times for the government and at others for individuals. Clay is one of these men. As he sees his friends finding their significant others, he realizes that even with his fears of loving someone, he wants that special person in his life, Christina is a talented violinist that plays not only in the Portland Symphony , but also in a Gaelic group. Clay’s love of music has him driving 2 hours to Portland and becomes enchanted by the beautiful violinist. When they finally meet, they didn’t realize that fate was going to be instrumental in their future. As the relationship progresses, Clay is forced to keep secrets about his work, while inadvertently Christina puts herself in danger. The story had quite a few bad guys and lots of good ones. The plot was engaging and the relationship between Clay and Christina was very sweet leaving you wanting them to get their HEA. Lastly, if you have read previous stories in this series, you’ll get a chance to visit with some of the characters as they make an appearance in this great addition to the series. I was entrusted a copy of this book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
I loved this story. Clay, who works for Lighthouse Securities, first catches a glimpse of Christina at a bar playing in a band while on a job. He next sees her at the Portland Philharmonic Symphony playing a violin solo. He falls for her quickly. She is perfect for him, Clay doesn't want any of the drama the other women who are now with his colleagues went through. He feels she is in a profession in which she wont need rescuing. Christina likes Clay immediately. Christina also plays with a Celtic rock band and tutors children. One of the children Christina tutors is a Senator's daughter. While tutoring her, Christina meets the Senator's Campaign Manager, J. Kincade. He is immediately interested in her and her band. Kincaid is under investigation by Lighthouse Securities for drug trafficking. Clay is running the investigation and becomes worried when he realizes that Christina and her band have become part of the investigation, when the head of the band becomes involved with Kincaid. Clay and Christina grow as a couple, while the danger to Christina also continues to grow. Clay and his colleagues must figure out Kincaid's illegal activities and how the band is involved. Eventually, Clay ends up rescuing not only Christina but also the Senator's daughter. This is a story that you wont want to put down once you start it. I received this ARC for a honest review.
Clay is a Keeper, meaning he works for Lighthouse Security Investigations. Lighthouse is a group of former military from all different branches and specialties who provide private security for civilians and sometimes government contracts. Clay has a love of music and enjoys going to the symphony, which is where he notices Christina playing her violin. He is entranced by her and her beauty that shines through while playing. He waits after the concert to speak with her. As they continue to get to know one another, Clay realizes that Christina is inadvertently involved in the investigation he is currently working on. Can he keep Christina safe while investigating those around her?
This is a great alpha male protector story. I really like the LSI group! They have a great camaraderie and friendship. They are family and would do anything for one another or their families. This book has wonderful characters with depth, action packed scenes, intrigue, romance and fun. This is the first book I have read by this author. Although this book is part of a series (which I have not read) I did not feel I was missing out on anything.
I received a review copy of this book from the author. I am voluntarily leaving a review.
Clay absolutely did not want to find a woman while on a mission well be careful what you wish for because Ms. Jordan has put a spin on it. Clay as it turns out loves music and that love of music brings him to Christina. Christina is drama-free but she does have a secret and will Clay still be entranced by this violing playing beauty when he finds out? Will she be worthy of a Keeper?
Ms. Jordan's characters are strong, both the men and the women they love. I enjoy that the women aren't necessarily badass but they are not damsels in distress either. I enjoyed getting to know Christina and how passionate she is about her music and the joy it brings to others. Clay has flaws and while he is protective he is also a bit insecure. It makes the characters real and believable.
I enjoy going back to Maine to see what the Keepers are up to. There is never a dull moment and when Clay finds out that Christina unwittingly becomes part of the mission, all bets are off. Clay now knows what his fellow Keepers are talking about, well the ones that have significant others. All how the mighty fall and boy Ms. Jordan makes it fun to read about.
I can’t get enough of the Lighthouse series. This book was awesome! Clay has been in other books and was excited to see him get his HEA! Clay doesn’t want to fall for a woman like his fellow keepers. He wants a “normal” relationship but Clay is not normal. His childhood was chaotic and left him with strong feelings about relationships. His parents each spent time with him but each projected different ideas and interest for Clay. His mother gave him a sense of music and thus begins his involvement with Christina. During a symphony he is captured by a violinist who is a free spirit and who loves music. Christina not only is in the symphony but also a Celtic band. Christina is smart, talented and strives to find a balance in her life. Her childhood was full of music but also expectations from parents who were driven symphony musicians. When life intervenes, Clay finds Christina caught up in the periphery of one of Lighthouse investigations then deeper involved and Clay finds himself caught between his heart, his thoughts and his job.
This is an awesome story and love the characters. It is a great addition to this series and can’t wait for more.
Clay, Lighthouse Security Investigations Book 8 by Maryann Jordan is a treat to the soul. It focuses on Clay and Christina, and they meet where their common interests, music, align. What ensues is a light and fun relationship and delves in true danger and drama as the story progresses.
Maryann Jordan really puts in a lot of thought and research into her stories as it shows. The characters are always well developed, even when the other Keepers are in the story, they are true to their original personalities from their own respective stories. But, to someone that may not have read the other stories, their personalities shine through, which is not a small feat.
On to Clay. Wanting a peaceful existence. He has some demons to overcome in some of the areas. But by and large, he is a straight shooter and a really likeable Keeper. As for Christina, a little impulsive, with a whole lot of heart and understanding, she is the perfect person for Clay.
The romance is the best part to read, but the chills and adventures are fun as well. Overall, I really recommend this romantic suspense.
Hank "Clay" Claiborne wants a quiet, simple love life. Unlike his fellow Keepers, investigators at Lighthouse Security Investigations, he wants a woman who is not tied to his latest case. When he meets Christina, a symphony violinist for a nearby orchestra, he is drawn to her. Their passion for music and life draws them together. Things between them are straightforward, until they're not. Clay's latest investigation includes drug cartel's, corruption and motorcycle gangs. Although Christina is not part of any of those things, she accidentally hovers on the periphery of them all. Clay must keep her safe, while not drawing her further into the circle of crime. Their growing love makes keeping secrets difficult. Yet Clay must tread that fine line. Can he keep Christina safe but in the dark about the danger? If he does, does he chance losing her? If he doesn't will he lose her to violence? Well written and entertaining this book has relatable characters and a magnetic story.
I always look forward to the LSI stories by Maryann Jordan and Clay was another great addition to the series. Clay does not want start a relationship like his peers, in the midst of an investigation and danger. Instead, he wants uncomplicated and peaceful due to his upbringing. Clay loves music and attends the philharmonic and is enchanted with one of the violin players. He eventually meets Christina, the violin player, and they begin a relationship. Unfortunately, Clay’s investigation leads him to people who are in Christina’s life. His uncomplicated relationship becomes entangled in his investigation and he must figure out how to keep them separate. I loved Clay and Christina together and how their relationship developed.I especially loved when Clay discovered Christina’s other job! This was a great read and Maryann Jordan weaves a story that will keep you hooked until the end. Wonder who is next?? I received an authors copy and I have left an honest review.
Clay wasn't looking for romance when he first seen Christina, mesmerized by her beauty lost in a crowd, he goes back to the symphony to try and find the lady with the beautiful eyes and prepared this time and gets to talk to her, totally enthralled with her, after a few simple dates, out for drinks with LSI coworkers Clay hears a female playing a fiddle and feels like he's cheating on Christina thinking about the new lady until things start clicking and he realized it's her, Clay wants simple not complicated knowing how his parents relationship was, simple starts falling apart when his investigation involves her band, Christina isn't some wilting flower she has a backbone and stands up for herself and her student after being kidnapped by drug smugglers, Clay didn't get simple but he got the beauty with the mesmerising eyes, I have voluntarily read and review this ARC, thank you for the privilege, Dana Zamora
Maryann Jordan has compiled an eclectic cast of characters for the latest in the Lighthouse Security Investigations series; Clay. It includes drug cartels, motorcycle gangs, a crooked political operative and a concert violinist. Coupled with an gripping storyline that includes a delightful romance and it all makes for a fabulous reading experience. Every time I finish one of Maryann's books I am so happy to have read it.
Clay wants what his fellow Keepers have...a loving relationship but with one caveat. No drama! Little did he know that his love of music and attendance at a symphony concert would bring the woman of his dreams into his life. Christina is a tiny musical dynamo. She's both a concert violinist and a Celtic music vixen wrapped up in an alluring package. Together they fall fast and hard for each other. But, things get murky when she gets caught up in one of LSI's investigations and blows Clay's "no drama" caveat to pieces.
I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, secrets, suspense, and heartbreak.
Before reading this story please read the below books first Mace (Lighthouse Security Investigations #1) Rank (Lighthouse Security Investigations #2) Walker (Lighthouse Security Investigations, #3) Drew (Lighthouse Security Investigations #4) Blake (Lighthouse Security Investigations #5) Tate (Lighthouse Security Investigations, #6) Levi (Lighthouse Security Investigations, #7)
This is Christina and Clay’s story. Clay does not want drama in woman. He has seen all his friends fall for woman on missions, but he is not looking for that. He found a no drama woman who fits him well. Only issue is she is keeping secrets. When danger comes for her and her secrets can he save her? Will he still want her after all the drama?
I loved these characters and the side characters. I felt I could connect with the characters and the story was a great read.
Another great book in an great series! I love this series and I always think it can't get any better, and then a new one is released. Clay wanted a drama free relationship after watching his parents. Not to mention the dangerous missions his friends and teammate met their significant others on recently. Clay meets Christina and is sure he is found the perfect drama free girlfriend right up until she is right in the middle of their investigation. Clay and Christina were great for each other. I loved Christina, she was smart and strong. I always enjoy Maryann's writing style and how her characters interact with each other. The details that make the story so complete like you're right there make this a great read. I loved Clay, he was unique because of his love of music and how is background really impacted his thoughts on relationships. He was sweet, sexy and gentle but 100% alpha! Enjoy!
This is a great story about Clay and Christina. He's a keeper and out with the rest of them he's listening to music with a really interesting, charismatic violin player, a Celtic band but then they're called out on a mission. Later he's at a classical concert and he's entranced by another person playing a violin solo. He goes back to see her the following week after another concert and to meet her and he's entranced by her. Then a mission comes in and she's on the periphery of it and he has to balance the mission with their involvement. It's a different storyline with suspense and drama as they make their journey to a HEA. Both the main characters are well written and keepers from previous stories are all involved. The only query I have is at the end of the other books in the series some of the female leads are pregnant but there's never any babies at their get togethers so the timelines are puzzling. I can't wait to read the next one.
Clay wants to find a lady for himself but he doesn't want to do it on a mission like his teammates. He had enough chaos growing up. While him and the guys are leaving, he hears a violin player that has his attention but is drug away by his teammates. He loves to attend the symphony and once again, a violin solo has his attention. Christina plays with the symphony. She also teaches. She wanted something different than her parents. She is kind of stunned by the man standing there looking at her. Clay and Christina have been meeting after the symphonies and getting to know each other. Clay doesn't know what to think at first when he sees her at the Celtic festival. She had kept that little secret from him. During the investigation Clay is working on, Christina is kind of on the outside. He is confused how much to tell her. When her life is on the line, will he get to her in time?
Hank “Clay” Claiborne loves his job as a Keeper for Lighthouse Security Investigations. He just wished to have a special someone to come home to but didn’t want to find them in the middle of a dangerous operation like so many of his fellow Keepers did. When he finds Christina Monroe, a violinist with the Portland Philharmonic Orchestra, he knows she is the one. Besides, what kind of dangerous situation could a violinist get into?
Well, let’s see! The orchestra isn’t the only thing Christina is involved in. She also teaches violin, is part of a string quartet and another group where she is known as Tiny Monroe the fiddler for a Celtic rock band. When both her teaching and the Celtic band roles put her in the middle of an LSI drug investigation, Clay and the rest of the Keepers have to work quickly to save Christina and one of her students.
This is another great read in the world of Lighthouse Security Investigations the team that Mace has built in the previous books many of the men have found the women for them when they have had to defend or protect them when danger is stalking them Clay the latest member of the team has no intention of meeting the woman for him that way With a childhood that was always in upheaval he wants a quite calm relationship and when he sees and falls instantly for Violin player Christina He soon discovers she is much more complex than he thought and when she is drawn into their latest case he soon will have to protect her Can they have a future together You will have to read to see but be prepared for a thrill ride where the danger escalates and Clay and his friends will have to pull out all the stops if they are to keep Christina safe.
