Spring is blooming as nine months have passed since the funeral. A happy, multi-family celebration, with best friends from Callie and Jason’s youth in Cleveland, takes place in Great Falls, Virginia to remind them of what they once had, have, and need to be finally happy. Complications ensue as Chase schemes to hide more things and to take and keep what he wants to make sure his life is full of the richness he thinks he deserves. All while the disruptive ripple effects of love, distraction, and separation ramble through both families to cause significant hurt and damage.TWO ONCE SETTLED is a character-driven, drama novel of mid-life change, regret and opportunity as empty-nesting exposes the isolation in a stale marriage. It is the third book in the TWO ONCE REMOVED series. And, although flashback and recall is used to support this story, readers should read both TWO ONCE REMOVED and TWO ONCE THERE to get the most enjoyment out of this final chapter for Callie and Jason.
I am a fundraiser by trade. I work with many different, wonderful non-profits to help them fully understand their donor audience to better tell their stories. This type of work relies heavily on writing rich content that excites the emotions to capture financial support. I use the same approach when writing stories. I hope you like them.
I enjoyed this story very much. Really liked Jason. I had some issues with Callie's whining and flip flopping. But my major complaint are the errors in names etc in this book. Was it never proofread for big errors?? I recommend highly that it be proofread and the errors fixed as it seriously messes with enjoying the ending.
I could tell the authors devotion to Callie and Jason by this third book, but again it was just okay. The ending is sweet and somewhat predictable. I wish I could have proof read his books for him, several errors that were missed. I'm happy he published his work and hopefully he is maturing as an author. But I will never know because I'm just not interested in reading anything else by him. A word of advice: try to not use similar names for characters! It gets annoying and confusing, like why did you have to have two Tom's? And Clara, Callie, Jason, Chase ... the only original name was Zoe but she's a dog! Just MY opinion 🤷
New author to me. I’ve read all three books back to back in the last few days. Loved the storyline, the descriptive characters, the beach, the mountains. I was so wrapped up in this story!
My only wish was that the ending could have been extended just a bit longer. Too much transpired at the end that I would have loved to have seen played out. Any chance another book is in the works? Great author!
Thanks to everyone who has read the 'Two Once' series. It was wonderful to write. If you liked these connected stand-alone stories, you'll really enjoy '1200 miles'. Please check it out on Amazon. It is part of the Unlimited book program.
This series is all about second chances! From a broken engagement at a young age, Jason and Callie pursue their lives separate and apart until……..many years later. Loved following the struggles as their paths intentionally cross…….when true love finally prevails.
I enjoyed the entire series. Book 3 was very good and went fast. The Jason-Chase issue was a hoot. Clara was a surprise. The ocean and mountain locations made the stories enjoyable.
I read this 3 part series in under a week. It was a pleasure to follow the lives of all the characters. I am looking forward to reading more of his books.
