This book has some funny parts and I cracked up at the scenes with Boris...I keep thinking of Rocky and Bullwinkle and the Boris character on that show.

Fun, quick read

Something's "off"

So, there's definitely some kind of intangible quality about the dialog that makes it seem "off." It's well written, and uses proper grammar, with no blaring errors or discrepancies. Even still, the way the characters speak seems stilted, or terse, in that while on paper there is nothing erroneous about it, you can't help but to feel that no one actually speaks to each other like they do in the book. It's as if it was written by someone who was taught English from a textbook without any resources from native speakers . . . overall this sense was so off-putting that I was unable to continue on and finish the book.
