I think more people would benefit from therapy then people think (did that sentence make sense? Lol, it did in my head 🤣).
Outside world 🌎 growing up and still now, give off the message/vibes that therapy is "eww icky," or seen as a weakness if you can't "push through" on your own.
Other generations had the mentality of "Buck up, move on, don't complain" and it's hard to push through that and all the intrusive thoughts in your head to go seek help sometimes.
I know now it's really brave to admit you need help and aren't coping well on your own.
I had a bad experience with the first time I tried a counselor (this was before I was a recovering people pleaser) and it left a deep mark on me and it took me a long time to work up the courage to try again.
I'm glad I did because I found a gem of a place and counselor and its helped alot.
Rosie tells of her experiences and how her journey helped her.. it's not a one size fits all, she encourages you to find your own tools and therapist without sounding preachy.. her energy is very calm.
Another one I would recommend 👌. These have helped me focus a bit more than I have lately, hopefully can get all these ebooks one day soon.
