I love this series, much the same as I enjoyed Left Behind. The tension, high, and the drama even higher. I cared about the characters, hurting for them when judgments came down. I could feel the pain. On to the next book.
In Stung, the Young Trib Force faces the most horrifying judgment yet. Not only do they have several unbelievers, the difficult Janie among them, putting them all at risk, but the fourth angel sounds his trumpet, causing a third of the sun, moon, and stars to go dark, plunging the earth into a deep freeze and killing hundreds of thousands.
Meanwhile, Judd and Lionel are with Mr. Stein in Israel, where the two Witnesses, Eli and Moishe, continue to torment Carpathia and those that follow him.
Finally, summer returns.
But then the fifth trumpet sounds. "...locusts came upon the earth. And to them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power. They were commanded not to harm the grass of the earth, or any green thing, or any tree, but only those men who do not have the seal of God on their foreheads. And they were not given authority to kill them, but to torment them for five months... In those days men will seek death and will not find it; they will desire to die, and death will flee from them." ~~Revelation 9:1-6

It doesn't get much more terrifying than that! Honestly, I don't know how Vicki and the others put up with Janie like they do. And there were deaths in this book that I didn't remember from my first read through, which was pretty sad.
I recommend these books for ages 12+

"One woe is past. Behold, still two more woes are coming after these things."
Outstanding authors. The writing is so great. I should be sleeping but I cannot put this down till My eyes closed on it’s own. The plot is so great and both believers and non believers need to read this. This is a non fictional story book, although the characters are fictional BUT all the events will come to pass. I pray those who doesn’t know Jesus as your savior would accept him before the Rapture!
This book was extremely slow for the first half, and I felt the same with its counterpart in the adult series (Apollyon). I actually struggled to get through it. However, it started getting better with the judgment dealing with the sun and the stars (handled much better than in Apollyon). And it got really good when the next judgment hits toward the end. And so, the beginning and end balance out for an average three-star rating. On to the next.
As the tribulation continues, the kids dive deeper into their subversive activities. Their getaways are unrealistic, and the way they escape gunfire and large posses of enemies is off- putting. But the storyline moves quickly, and the characters draw me in.
I really enjoy this series. Not quite as much as the original adult series but this one is very good. In this volume the locusts show up at the end of the book. It was a little slow but still held my interest. One of the characters (Janie) is very annoying to me. Highly recommend this series.
Origins series is excellent. This series is written for teens and I didn’t find it near as interesting nor does it seem as plausible some of the stories just aren’t very realistic in my opinion.
This book is about when locust demons attack people but don't kill them. The three kids and a few others hide in a abandoned school house and reach out to others.
