Funny my library had 5 copies of book 20, but not a single book 19. So they ordered it from a library two states over from us. For my kitten.

God’s bless the public library system.

I give this 5 stars because I really liked that they brought the main bad guy for a big fight, and there was a massive wave. I can't believe that I'm already this far in the series.

I liked that we found an actually massive dragon and that this new dragon master called himself a dragon "friend" instead of master. This one was okay. I kind of like that she made a bigger problem to solve over multiple books, but it also kind of just feels like a scheme to write more books... which it obviously is. The books are definitely feeling more and more formulaic where Drake just gets to go on all of the adventures because Worm can teleport. It was interesting to see a limit to Worm's abilities and the need to "recharge" and rest after using tons of his magic. Worm can do A LOT of stuff but apparently they can get worn out.

My 6-year-old brought this book home from her school library and we read it together. Fun fact: This is not a series where you can jump around and read the books out of order. I was very seriously lacking context. I couldn't more or less put it together, but I definitely felt lacking for not having read the previous 18 volumes. My child, however, didn't seem terribly bothered.

In this book they meet Tani the sea dragon and her dragon master Manawa. Originally I thought this one was based on a place like Samoa, but now I think maybe New Zealand because the character names are Maori.

Now to find a wind dragon!

Why Worm agreed to Drake’s insane plan, is a mystery. I liked the idea of the shadow bush. Good illustrations. I like that Worm isn’t as invincible as he’s seemed for so long. And that the sea dragon thinks the others are babies are just too cute!

My 6 year old loves this series. The quarrel between the lava dragon and the sea dragon is interesting. I think it should explain their past better. Maybe a spin-off? There seems to be a good story with these 2 dragons.

My library is out of these now, but I enjoyed every one that it had. If I had a child to share them with, I'd definitely want to read this series with them.

Lovely dragon adventure with beautiful illustrations to go with the story. I am reading some elementary/middle grade school books to find some that will interest my great niece.

There was a lot of action in this one! It was loads of fun. My recording had a chapter repeated at the end. Still, i am really enjoying this series.

The character names in this series can be a bit hard for kids to pronounce but it holds my son’s attention and he loves reading these. Really like the different Branches books
