The VP of the Blackwings MC - Devil Springs has taken hit after hit and keeps rolling with the punches, but all it takes is one female to knock him off his feet, and the one to do it is the last one he ever expected.
Teagan Brooks lives in the Southeast US with her husband and their daughter.
She loves all things girly, particularly makeup, high heels, and purses, but also has a passion for guns, knives, motorcycles, and muscle cars.
When she isn't in front of her computer writing, she can be found with her family on their boat in one of the nearby lakes.
Teagan is very friendly and loves connecting with others. Please don't hesitate to send her a friend request or follow her on Goodreads, Facebook, and Amazon.
Bronze sees the woman of his dream at their MC bar Precious Metal, she is stunning and Bronze ends up spending a few nights with her before he his life takes a huge turn. It isn't that he hadn't plan to pursue Sloan more, she just disappeared and he had no clue how to find her. Needing an outlet for all the nerves swirling through him, he ends up finding something that fits the bill but at no time did he expect to see Sloane again. He wants answers on why she disappeared, while she wants answers about a secret her mother was hiding.
This book had a little bit of everything. I thought the whole story was wonderful. Sloane is a spitfire and Bronze was everything I was hoping he would be. Had several twists and turns that I did not see coming. You also had some interesting characters that I hope there will be books for.
I think this one could be almost labeled a rom-com.
It is an awesome story and very well written as you would expect from Teagan Brooks.
However, it's written in a lighter vein then the usual MC romance. A little lighter on the MC scale but still full of her great writing and still full of all the characters from the other books, some drama and a lot of steam! Plus I figure a break from all the angst that is usually involved in MC series novels is not a bad thing. We get to see all the characters in a lighter manner.
As always a great read...on to box 6 Bear's story.
Oh wow. So bad. The plot is all over, characters seem hostile but aren’t. crazy!
Wow. This book was so bad! None of it made sense, I actually didn’t finish it. Characters such as Tatum seemed really hostile with Sloane, yet said she wanted to be friends. It was so bizarre.
Sloane is a writer, whose dad is a Irish mob boss. When her mother dies, she leaves a cryptic message about a half sister. Sloane goes to find her and somehow has an address for her? It wasn’t in the file. But anyway, she meets Bronze, and they have rampant sex, that turns into him coming back for repeats. Then Bronze can’t go back to her as he suddenly has a daughter. In a crazy plot that didn’t make sense, his baby mother dies in birth and he gets his daughter. So Copper goes to the hotel and threatens her to leave! 😱 WHY?????
Before they meet again, we have a whole load of Bronze being a new dad, and to be honest I didn’t want to read about that. How much detail do we need about his baby’s nappies???? 😡
So when they meet again, suddenly she has a stalker! That threatens her life! Aaay??? Did the author suddenly decide that the book was boring, so put a stalker in it? There’s a crazy scene where Tatum and her sister are dragging Sloane through secret tunnels into secret rooms. It’s nuts!!
This story has so many parts and characters to it that seemed unrelated and unnecessary that it took the spotlight from the relationship between Bronze and Sloane. Safe rooms, stalkers, fight clubs and relatives popping up. The usual members of the club that add secondary roles were lacking in this story too. The dramatic events towards the end of the story was quite frankly ridiculous in my opinion. It was as though the author was scrambling for ideas. It also left the reader with the idea that Copper and Sloane disliked each other because of an earlier event.
The introductory idea that Sloane got into her head which led to the following events seemed unreasonable to me. Would someone really be bothered to track down an unknown person even after being threatened?
I thought he idea of the baby was good, but was disappointed in the lack of interaction of the father. Apart from changing nappies, making bottles and setting up various nurseries in locations visited, there was no close communication between them to be read about.
Too many threads and a thin plot. I was so disappointed in Bronze's story. He deserved better.
Ok I started reading this and wondering is this a bunch of adolescent people I'm reading about. I never read so much jumping around and the conversations are stupid and nothing is funny. Starts off good with Sloan discovers she has a half sister she goes to find her runs into Bronze then its nothing but sex they have for the next chapter then next thing I know sloans a writer blah blah. Bronze comes by her hotel room and he knows Heidi but doesn't know its Slians half sister begins to tell slian that he had 3 somes with Heidi and Heidi girlfriend Paige.. Then Bonze is at the club house and a newborn dropped in his lap and im at 28% of the book. I have no idea but Teagan I cannot even get into this. Writing is just not good. Glad I have KU and it didn't cost me. Sorry but I don't think I can even try to get through this.
Life changing surprises, erotic romance authors and stalkers … maybe?
I do NOT consider this to be a STAND-ALONE read. It is part of a spin-off series that contains multiple reoccurring characters from the previous stories from this series and the original Blackwings MC series. There are also details that cannot be adequately recapped within the scope of another story that contributes to the story universe / world building, some overlapping / concurrent timelines, as well as overarching themes.
⛔️ The series contains references to, or scenes detailing, subject matter that may be a trigger or offensive to some, including: adult language; derogatory terms; mental health challenges; steamy adult intimate scenes with dominance, submission, restraints, spanking for pleasure, “bottom” play, etc.; violence such as kidnapping, abduction, murder, death, torture, assault, fighting, betrayal, coercion, blackmail, threats, subterfuge, money laundering, gun running, cheating, illegal underground fighting with betting, prostitution, human trafficking, mafia / cartels, black market deals, drug use, drug manufacturing, drug distribution, as well as the mental, physical and sexual abuse of females and/or children, etc.
** Caution: Contains scenes with reference to, or detailed violence against females that fit into the storyline, but may be a trigger for some **
There are very few grammatical issues primarily comprised of incorrect word choice and tense, punctuation errors, missed words and extra inserted words. I am mentioning these for readers such as myself that visualize the story as it is read, because errors interrupt the flow.
There are a couple of twists within this story and it is again written with a sense of humor. In that it matches with the previous story very well. There were actually a few scenes that I couldn’t help but LOL and woke my husband who was asleep in the bedroom. In the previous story it was Tatum that cracked me up, but I don’t know if even she has anything on Sloane, Frankie, Brats (just wait until you read about him and some of his shenanigans) and Bronze with some of their dialogue / actions.
That being said, I so wanted to give this story 5 🌟 but I just couldn’t. There are several times when the names of Heidi and Paige are mixed up and it made it extremely frustrating. I even went back a couple of times to make sure that I read what was written correctly. This needs to be corrected as soon as possible imo.
There are a lot of action sequences and some more mysteries to be solve, with some new characters and families introduced.
Sloane’s mother passed away not too long ago and she is going through some of her mother’s papers hoping to find information about another possible sibling. Sloane remembers her father threatening the pregnant woman when she was 3 years old and she has never been able to forget about it. The words or the money he tossed her way when he told her never to return.
Finally Sloane finds some information and a letter written by her mother. In it, Sloane gets some potential leads about where her potential sister, or her sister’s mother, might be living. It is an opportunity too good for her to pass up, so she quickly packs a few things and makes arrangements to go there.
Bronze is the younger brother of Copper, their chapter’s President. He serves as the Vice President and they both have regular duties within the MC, one of which is to backfill for any open positions when needed. This is how Bronze finds himself bartending at one of their clubs, Precious Metals, when a 🔥 blonde enters and has a seat at the bar. It has been a long time since he reacted to anyone the way he does to her.
Sloane does some investigating and finds out that Heidi works at a local bar. So she decides to go there to try and meet her organically. When Sloane arrives, she decides to sit at the bar. The man that sits by her is the most handsome man she has ever met. Even though he is not wearing a cut, Sloane quickly figures out he is part of a MC.
They move to a booth and the flirting continues, and despite trying to steer the conversation towards finding information about Heidi a couple of times, she is unable to find anything out then. Later the two end up together until Bronze has to return to work. During the time they spent, Sloane learns about the “arrangement” that Paige, Heidi and Bronze had a few times, although she didn’t want to think about any of that until she knew if Heidi was her sister. She also found out that Heidi and Paige were not sisters like their last names and social media pages suggest, they are a couple.
Sloane plans to work as much as she can until he has some time off in a few days. She hated lying to Bronze about wanting to contact Heidi for information, but he did end up sharing her addresses and numbers. Then in between shifts Bronze gets a life changing surprise and despite asking her to call him, Sloane left town and she didn’t even say bye.
I'm just going to put it out there before I start the review: I was already disappointed with the book before I even started with it because I really wanted it to be about Bronze's recovery of that bad head injury he got in the first book...You know, the one he had to have brain surgery for. It had completely changed his personality, and I just needed a book that focused around some kind of mental issues like still not being able to trust your own brain and thought processes, making things right with others, or maybe even have the head injury act up again and have big issues with the female MC. But alas, that did not happen. We got an okay story. The main plot was done well, but the side plot with the suspense needed work--almost like it was thrown in to make it more interesting. I dunno. It just felt like a completely different tone and storyline toward the end.
Sloane finds information from her late mother, stating that she may have a half-sister out there because her father was cheating. Of course, Sloane has to go. This gal is a likable character and an erotic romance author, writing under a pen name, so she immediately got points in my book. Her quest puts her in Devil Springs in the Blackwings MC bar, Precious Metals (*hisses* ohhhh, the precious). There she meets a hot biker, who she immediately hits it off with (I was about to accidentally type "meats" and realized that works too. Bwahahaha. I'm dirty.) This Bronze guys ends up bending her over a barrel and showing her the fifty states. They are quite compatible. Plus, she can try to get information from him since her possible sister worked at his bar. However, her biker man disappears, and his brother reappears at her hotel room, telling her to leave or else. Bummed and with no trail, she returns to her normal life, only to realize that her life and Bronze's are a lot more entwined than she thought, there's more to the story with her sister, and there's a danger lurking that she had no idea about.
Bronze is the VP of the Blackwings MC, Devil Springs chapter. His brother, Copper, is the president. They have themed-names. And a themed bar, Precious Metals. See? He meets his dream woman there, and she gets well-acquainted with his silent flute. Then, something WILD happens, and Bronze has to go MIA for a bit. He leaves instructions for Sloane to stay, but she just up and disappears. He wants to find her, but he has to keep his new priorities straight. Then, his life keeps getting wilder when he runs into her again in the weirder place and learns who she really is.
I liked the book, though I thought the ending suspense part kinda just came out of the blue there. More foreshadowing would have done the author a lot of good and made a good book great. It looks like we have another book coming soon for Coal, which should be interesting. I wasn't sure if this was the last book or not when I read it, but knowing now that it's not, I thought everything wrapped up well.
Where do I begin with this gem of a story! If you have been staying up to date with Teagan Brooks and her books, you will know that we have all been dying for Bronze and to see which epic lady he was going to be paired up with. What we get is a story that will have you giggling, swooning and SO much more with unexpected twists tossed in there that will leave you jaw on the ground. I think what I adored is the fact that Brooks intertwined past moments in the Devil Springs series into Bronze’s story which gave it that much more depth. Then you have Sloane. OH MY STARS! I laughed so much with her and the things that came out of her mouth. Between her and Frankie, I was dying of laughter. But when Bronze and Sloane collide, it is an axis tilting romance that will have you breathless and honestly, fanning yourself. The passion between these two is sizzling and intense, especially with every little twist and turn that was thrown at these two. As a whole, I really enjoyed this book. It kept me on my toes. It had unique moments that will have you smiling and also wondering what just happened. There is an intense dynamic with how things are all interconnected in this book and it has an amazing flow! Even had the husbutt laughing because I couldn’t quit laughing. I think that is what made this story so brilliant. It was funny but it was also raw and emotional, heartbreaking and earth shattering. Brooks knocked it out of the park with this one and I am so looking forward to what more will come with the Devil Springs boys!
I was really looking forward to this book. Bronze’s happily ever after has been a long time coming. He finally got his shot and it was definitely filled with twists.
Sloane goes searching for her half sister after learning about the possibility of having another sibling after her mother’s death. The first night she’s in town she runs into the man who was having a casual relationship with one of the two women she thought could be her sister and finds more than just a resource to answer questions. After a whirlwind weekend with Bronze, a miscommunication sends her fleeing from Devil Springs.
A few months later Bronze and Sloane run into each other at an underground fight and it becomes clear there are some major misunderstandings to clear up on both sides. I loved the instant connection between Bronze and Sloane and even though Bronze thought he wasn’t ready to settle down, things became serious with Sloane pretty quickly.
This was slow to start because there was a lot of background to get through before Sloane and Bronze really started their relationship. I loved the idea of the Irish Mafia Princess and the VP of the Blackwings. They both already understood the world they were living in so they already had some commonalities. I love that all of these books have some humor in them and it’s delivered in an unexpected way. I never thought I’d be laughing while reading an MC romance.
Bronze has been a long time in coming ... so glad we finally get his story. And ms.teagan didn’t disappoint.... Over the blackwings series we have seen Bronze go through many difficulties and yet he was able to come out on top! And now yippeee his story is finally here ... we get action, love, suspense, twists and turns, steam and everything you can depend in a teagan brooks novel! For the first page to the last ... Bronze from book one was always the badass, dirty talking, (More I want to say but won't .. READ IT!) he's the VP of the blackwings - devils springs chapter is off the charts in this book, his story is not one to miss. The chemistry between Bronze and Sloane is steamy the friendship between Sloane and her Bff Frankie are Real and hilarious! and geepers brat is Hilarious... hahahahhahaaha New characters are introduced and others you know and love .... make an appearance that all come together to make another epic story in the blackwings MC series... There's so much I wish i could say about this book but to share more could be cause for spoilers like a baby girl that is Bronze's .. yep you heard me right.... so you see you need to read the book :)
First things first; I love the cover of this book! Bronze is the fifth book in the ‘’black wings MC – Devil Springs’’ series. I devoured this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters loveable and the storyline enjoyable. Bronze wasn’t looking for love when he met Sloane. Although he felt an instant attraction towards her, he soon has a lot going on. When they get a second chance will they take it? The chemistry between Bronze and Sloane is clear to see and I liked them together. I loved that Bronze was protective of his baby from the start. My heart ached for Sloane. All she wanted was to find and meet her secret sister yet it didn’t turn out the way she wanted yet I liked the twist. I loved Sloane’s bond with Blue. I liked that it was Sloane’s fans that helped save her. I loved the chat that Sloane had with her father. I really liked the ending and the epilogue for this story. The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read. I cannot wait for more books from this series.
It seems like I've waited FOREVER for this book and boy was it ever worth the wait! Bronze is a sexy, fun read and most definitely leaves nothing lacking. Sloane O'Shea finds herself in Devil Springs looking for a sister she never knew about. Instead of finding the sister she found a sexy as he*l biker. Bronze Black, VP of the Black Wings MC in Devil Springs spots Sloane the second she walks into Precious Metals, a bar and grill he co-owns. It doesn't take long for him to make his move or for her to decide she's up for some fun. And the games begin. After a couple of days together, Bronze gets slapped with some shocking news and it completely throws him off kilter. After a conversation with Copper, Sloane leaves and for a while has no contact with Bronze. Let me tell you, there's never a dull moment in Bronze and there's surprises around every corner. Teagan Brooks has a definite hit with this one!
TEAGAN!!!!!! We all have been waiting and waiting for this magnificent book and YOU have made it worth the wait!! I will say Bronze will not disappoint in any way shape or form. I would like to give this book all the stars. Why you ask well let me tell you... In this fabulous book not only do we get a swoon-worthy biker, but a very curious leading lady with Sloane. She is one determined lady and will stop at nothing to get the answers she needs. Within the pages of this book we get one hot AF man who is not afraid of dirty talking, and trust me when I say melting panties is not something he is new to. I had a few laugh out loud moments while reading this book. Sloane, her best friend, and her best friend's pet will have you laughing out loud at with their antics. I am not going to go into great detail, because trust me when I say you need to read this for yourself. You can savor the words and get the full affect.
Teagan Brooks is absolute GOLD I think this would have to be my favourite book in the series so far BRAT the pig just sealed the deal. But apart from the pig I truly enjoyed this book and read it all in one sitting Teagan knows how to bring a story together and keep you entertained from beginning to end . The characters are the best so funny , so stubborn, so alpha , so hot and so protective of family and friends. I fell in love with Teagan's first book Dash and I haven't stopped reading her books ever since they are some of the best stories I've read and I can't wait for more . I loved Bronze and Sloan's story so much especially the author/ book / book signing elements but most of all I love the chemistry between Bronze and Sloan they were made for each other. Five stars from me I loved it.
Bronze/Sloane. Another stupid book from this series. I’m glad that there is only 1 book left because these books are getting worse and worse. Bronze Black didn’t know his f-buddy had his child and gets dumped with his baby girl and he names her Blue Black. Really? Not only that, Bronze had boxed in the military to help his anger issues and wants to start training to box in a underground fight club. Just a couple of months past wasn’t Bronze the other person who got attacked in the gym with Batta? He had a knife sticking out of his chest and it was life or death. So this author wants me to believe that not only did this guy recover that fast from his knife wound to the chest that he got a woman pregnant, but he was able to start training to the point that he became that strong to become a competitive fighter. Come on. Couldn’t get this book off my kindle fast enough.
Another amazing book by Teagan Brooks! I love the banter between the sassy Sloane and the very sexy Bronze, who doesn't love a dirty talking biker? Without giving too much away, I must say that I enjoyed the twists and turns in this book...it'll keep you on your toes! If you haven't added this book to your collection what are you waiting for? It's a must read! Also if you haven't read any of the other Blackwings MC series whether it be Croftridge or Devil Springs, stop what your doing right now and start binge reading!!! You'll laugh, be shocked, swoon, and maybe shed a tear but most of all you'll fall in love with Every Single One of Them!!! Happy Reading! 📚
I have loved every single book that Teagan Brooks has written, but this is my absolute favorite! I love Bronze and Sloane so much!! I loved every single word on every single page!! This book just seemed to be extra special. As always, well written and what a great story! Reading about everyone that we already know and love, and being introduced to the O'Sheas (hint hint - new Irish Mafia series? Plleeeaaasse) while being taken on a new adventure has been fun!! And the CAMEOS!! How cool is that?? This is such a great series! Please don't ever stop writing!
I liked this book. It was fun and gave you another side of Bronze. It made sense and flowed well, although the whole Heidi/Paige thing is just left hanging with ‘mental health’ issues. My other problem is that the drama in the book in regards to the stalker seemed forced. The underground fighting was fine and flowed and added to the story but the stalker just conveniently gets mentioned near the end of the book (as the biker has to save his girl in every book). And one of the things attributed to the stalker isn’t even from them! It just seemed forced. The pig was hilarious and weird at the same time!
There was a bit too much coincidence and intersection for me and the suspense plot and the resolution was a bit out of the blue and bizarre and somewhat silly to me, but this was a fun read, made extra fun by erotic romance writer, Sloane’s wit and humor and Bronze’s newfound maturity after his past choices catch up with him. I liked the couple together and I would say they’re one of my favourites across both the original series and this spin-off. As it grows, the ensemble cast is really “making” this series and I can’t wait to see where the author takes it next, and if she’ll write in people like Tatum’s sister, Josie, or Sloane’s BFF, Frankie.
Bronze has always seemed like a jokester, one who had all the luck with the ladies, so I was looking forward to this book. It sure surprised me! Did not guess the package that was thrust upon him early on, but thought he did a great job of dealing with things. I did find myself laughing at the reason why he had to start wearing his nipple piercings again, because only to this guy would something like this happen.
Sloane was an interesting match up for Bronze. Their personalities fit, but I wondered if her family would be more of an issue, but that didn't happen, a good thing. Nice to see these 2 get their happy ending.
Bronze is the VP of his club. He meets Sloane one night when he's helping out his club's bar. They are instantly attracted to each other. Bronze doesn't know Sloane is searching for someone. When the info she has leads to his club, she becomes suspicious. Bronze also has a lot dumped on him where he's drawn away from Sloane. They need to get together to settle the mysteries surrounding them.
Loved, loved Sloane and Bronze. The story was hot, funny, sad and full of drama. Great read.
I'm not sure what happened with this one. I loved the others in this series, but this one seemed to jump around a lot and at times made zero sense. I was especially confused about Sloane - she seemed very contradictory and I never really knew what to make of her. She carries a gun sometimes and can recognize a Fed and concealed weapons, but then does stupid stuff like follow her brother to an underground fight ring and not understand how it works. I think I was so frustrated by all the back and forth and contradictions that I didn't enjoy this as much.

Don't even know where to start.... I feel I'm kinda repeating myself with each book. This is Bronze's and Sloane's book. Sloane is looking for her unknown sister. From a child's memory and what her Mom left behind she is trying to locate her.
Bronze has just received a special package and had no idea what to do. This part is really funny or at least I thought so.....
Not much with the MC members but a lot is going on....Oh and really "Blues???". What kind of name is that???
I’m at chapter 13 and I’m still not connected to the main characters; it may have to do with all the characters I don’t know but seem to be a “regular”. I’ve read some of the Blackwings so these characters that seem important I’m clueless about.
I’m on Chapter 15 and it’s starting to flow much better. Sloan still irritates me and her yelling often is annoying, but Bronze is gaining points with his devotion to Blue.
A stalker, mob ties, crazy mothers and some secrets make for a decent read.
How can someone not love Bronze? I was absolutely captivated with him the moment he was introduced in the series and his book just made me love him that much more. He’s hot, funny and loyal. What more could you ask for? Teagan is always throwing curves balls while you’re upside down on a roller coaster and this book is no different. Every couple pages you’re thrown for a new loop and I wouldn’t expect anything less from her!
This is a definite must read book and series! I love the Blackwings MC, and for those of you who love MC stories, you certainly don't want to miss any of these! I would definitely recommend this book, series, and exceptional author.
Although all of these stories are worth waiting for, I really wish that we could get them released closer together. Yeah, I'm a little impatient when it comes to the series' that I love! Lol!
I chose this rating because this was a really good book. I enjoyed all of the characters. This was a book of compassion, reliability, and protecting yourself. I really liked the interaction that the guys have toward each other. Also they are family first and are very protected of each other. They would do anything to help and a stick up for their brothers. Great read! I recommend this book to all romance readers and MC lovers.
I can't believe this is the last book in the series. Bronze has always been one of my favorite characters in the other books, so glad he got his HEA. I liked Sloane and her determination to find the truth. I wonder what can be sexier than a good dad with muscled tatted arms holding a baby I loved each and every one of them, with no exception. Still hoping for a few more stories to come. So until then goodbye Blackwing boys and girls. 😢
Fantastic book, loved Bronze and Sloane’s relationship. The banter was fantastic and they gave me so many laughs. What I’ve loved most throughout this series is the real life jobs and relationships etc. that all the characters have had. In this book I especially liked the book signings 😂 can’t wait for more from this series and this author. Hoping there are plenty more stories for more of the brothers of the Blackwings MC.
