Landon is experiencing a quarter-life crisis. The decision he made in his early 20s to abandon his dreams of music has resulted in a life mired in stagnation, depression, self doubt, and a loveless marriage. When the voices start and the visions appear, Landon fears for his sanity but is nevertheless tempted and awoken to a unique possibility. A Parallel version of himself is offering a chance to change it all. His fate was sealed, and now his destiny awaits! What price would you be willing to pay for a second chance? From newcomer Jason Douglas, and Adam Ferris (The Good Fight,) comes this deep and dark sci-fi exploration of despair, mental health, parallel worlds, and the cost of following and not following your dreams.
I had the pleasure of reading Parallel and interviewing Jason alongside my co-host on our show (true believers: a comic book podcast) and although it is mired in dark and heavy themes, I found that Parallel was perfect for a crowd rapidly approaching (or in the middle of) the dreaded quarter life crisis.
