Valor joined up with Tray after Beauty’s sacrifice because he knew Luck was destined to be with Princess Nyleena. There was no room in that relationship for a third wheel. But when he teamed up with Tray he had no idea that he’d be the third wheel in that partnership too.
Tray has been keeping ALCOR’s secrets since the day he arrived on Harem Station. Not just one or two… ALL of them. But he’s also been keeping one of his own.
His secret is a girl. Not a Cygnian girl. An Akeelian girl. A beautiful, mysterious, scheming secret girl that Tray has been in love with ever since she first turned up in his Pleasure Prison virtual reality asking him for help.
Except she’s not virtual.
She’s real.
She’s in danger.
And before Valor came along all he wanted to do was break her out of her prison and keep her for himself.
But now… he might have to learn to share. Prison Princess is the fifth book in the Harem Station sci-fi alien romance series.

The heroine:Brigit - an Akeelian female who was hidden away in the virtual reality pleasure prison. Tray found her there when he was first building it and he kept her hidden there until he could find where her real body was.
The Hero:Tray & Valor - When they were kids, Tray’s father had him changed. His father had him undergo some sort of surgery which integrated an A.I. into his brain, so he is different than the other six Akeelian males he ran away with to Harem station. Valor was partnered with Luck and after their bot died and Luck found his fated mate Nyleena, Valor was at a loss so he started to help Tray in the pleasure prison.
The Story: Tray and Valor figured out some of the sinister things going on around Harem Station and together came up with a plan. Little did Valor know, Tray is keeping Brigit a secret and hasn’t told Valor about his plan to free Brigit from the pleasure prison, before returning to their scheduled rendezvous.
There is certainly a lot going on in this book and it takes place directly after the events of Lady Luck. Julie Huss does a terrific job at coming up with super complex plots and storylines and adding to them as a series goes on. This took a bit of a different turn than the prior books in that the guys were part of a breeding program and each have a fated mate that is a Cyngian Princess. In this one we find out that Valor and Luck used to have a romantic relationship and in this book there is a ménage relationship between the three main characters.
The romance is terrific and it is sizzling hot. But the story is the thing. I loved the intricacies of the story and the negative forces they are trying to overcome. I want to see these seven men of Harem Station win over the evil they are facing. Also I kept wondering whether the A.I. ALCOR is good or evil. There are also the copies of ALCOR called Baby ALCOR and A-hole ALCOR. I found out that I really loved ALCOR.
The story was told in multiple points of view and the narration was done by Joe Arden, Shane East and Rose Dioro. I really enjoy all three of these narrators and they did a great job. This was a great story and a pleasure to listen to as well.
*I received a free copy of Prison Princess. This has in no way influenced my review which is honest and unbiased.*
Prison Princess was very different from the other Harem Station books. Not only because Tray had been hiding in plain sight for those books, but because of where, and when this story unfolded. There was a whole lot of new information shared, but nothing that could make it possible to figure out anything that might happen in the next book...
COYER Summer 2019 Treasure Hunt: Read a book featuring a male protagonist. 2 Points
Omg this story is blowing my mind. There are so many secrets that are revealed and even note too come. I absolutely love, love this series and every character. Once you start reading you will get completely hooked. I absolutely love Tray, Brigit and Valor together and of course the sex was scorching hot. Another amazing 5 star read which doesn’t surprise me one bit since by all time favorite author wrote it. I can’t wait for more because I need answers badly lol.
I voluntarily reviewed this Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
*** Prison Princess is book five in the Harem Station series and should be read according to order. This review may contain spoilers if you are not yet caught up in the series. ***
There has always been something very different about Tray from his Akeelian brothers. With the rumors of his "leveling up," to his mysterious time spent in virtual reality, Tray assures everyone that he has a plan... and no one else needs to know about it just yet... especially his new partner, Valor.
Brigit is an Akeelian girl. That's right, the one thing everyone is so sure doesn't exist... because they were all told it just isn't possible. But, Tray knows what she is, he knows he loves her and would do anything for her... even betray his family to free her from the virtual reality prison where she is contained...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Prison Princess is the sexy, cyber centric story of an ill fated romance in the midst of an all out galactic war. Between ALCOR, Tray, Valor and the newcomer, Brigit, the answers we have been waiting for are starting to be revealed, one after another... along with some dangerous and entirely hopeless situations for the future of the Harem Station as we know it...
Brigit exists only in virtual reality... for now. She has a body floating around somewhere, and Tray knows just what he has to do to retrieve it. With his new partner Valor along for the ride, he vows to find Brigit and to rescue her from her unknown fate... but entering into Brigit's reality may just change Tray and Valor's relationship forever...
There is something about this series that completely holds you captive with each and every new story. Not only is it fresh and so very different, but the sex is set to the level of SCORCHING, over and over again. Tray and Brigit's story is no exception, but it is so completely different from what we have read so far, it will leave you reeling about the Harem Station world and what could possibly be next for the couples we have been introduced to so far.
This story is about Tray and Brigit, and a whole lot of sharing with Valor as well. From the virtual world, to the real life mess that is going on within the world of ALCOR and the Akeelin boys, this book is another valuable addition to the intricate and mysterious puzzle that is the Harem Station series.
I received a complimentary copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review.
This was the one book of the series I was least looking forward to, yet it is one of my favorites. Ironic, right. When the subject was announced, I barely wanted to read it at all and was only doing so as it is apart of the series.
Simply because I am not into Menage books. There’s been one ever I have liked. I guess, now there’s two. I don’t like them and I do have my reasons for it being so. But this one took me by surprise. The “menage” part of this book was like...two, three chapters. And in those chapters...wow, can Julie ever write a sex scene! Literally a fantasy right there on the pages. In fact, as it happened inside a fantasy, virtual world, I think it only added to the fantasy effect. There are two reasons why I enjoyed the menge part of this novel. 1) it was short, and as mentioned, hot and 2) it wasn’t just sex. Tray and Valor started to get this connection even before brining Bridgit into the mix. Throughout their time together, and even afterwards, it is clear that the two men have feelings for one another. Tray obviously has feelings for Bridgit. Although she and Valor started to grow a connection as well, at the base of it, they were really only connected through Tray. I also don’t like MM romances. (Note: I support LGBTQ+, i just have trouble connecting with gay romances) But again, Julie did magic with this one, and I actually wish Bridgit wasn’t involved. Tray and Valor suit each other, and their connection is so wonderful that it melted the screen of my ereader. It seems like this book had so much that I normally shy away from, but Julie made it work so well that I actually loved all those aspects of this book.
Bridgit didn’t excite me as a character. Often, it felt like she was just there. But she did have a great story backing her with a connection to other characters. Valor, although it isn’t his book, I really enjoyed reading about. Tray was my favorite of the three. There was a great plot surrounding him and a great background story. He had so much drive to get him to Bridgit. Just a pleasure to read!
It answers so many questions I have had about the sentient ships, sets up more of this ongoing, huge and wonderful plot, and is setting us up for a mind-blowing conclusion. I was glued to my screen and devoured this book. I just loved this one so much. I still laugh because of them all, this became one of my favorites.
I can’t wait for Valor and Veila to duke it out in their book. I’m so excited to see what the author presents to us next.
Prison Princess was pivotal in the Harem Station series. So much was revealed and explained while other things were merely set up for future reveals. I have to admit to feeling like I wasn't smart enough for this book at one point. But I'm a good note taker ;) and I'm beginning to fit pieces together.
In Prison Princess, we spend time with ALCOR and become better acquainted with him. We learn about his beginnings and we see how he's changed, how his goals changed and we see how his actions reflect that. I appreciated this as I better understood him afterwards. I'd honestly been questioning his loyalty to his boys.
But Prison Princess is Tray's story...and Valor's to a certain extent. We get to know these two Harem Station brothers who've been mostly enigmatic thus far. We knew Tray was different but now I know by how much and why. We were also made privy to Valor's thoughts and feelings...the why behind him essentially ending his relationship with Luck. And witnessing all this was made possible by the prison princess, Brigit.
Using Tray, Brigit, and Valor, Cross delivers a lot of the backstory for the conflict between the Akeelians and Cygnians as well as ALCOR's role in...well, everything. We learn a bit about what's been going on in these two worlds and why the Harem Station brothers are important. And we get a glimpse of what maybe comes next. Of course, as with any Cross (Huss) story, there are still questions. MANY. And I probably don't understand as much as I think I do. ;) But that's okay. I'm excited about whatever comes next!
First the narrators were superb! Second, the plot is so complex, I absolutely loved it. We have been given so much information, yet there are SO many unanswered questions. This story was melancholy, yet I still have hope. J.A. Huss what are you doing to me ?!?!
The further I read into this series, the more complex and intriguing it becomes! Tray, Valor and Brigit take us on a "trip" through space and time in this installment. Out of all the Akeelian brothers we've been reading about, Tray has been the one I have been the most curious about. Up until now, he's been a huge mystery, always there but kind of off to the side, even his brothers not exactly knowing what exactly his deal is. He's been working closely with ALCOR from the beginning, since the day they landed on the station, and what has he really been doing inside the Pleasure Prison all this time?
This book is really heavy with Virtual Reality and AI's and time/space realitivity and a whole bunch of scientific stuff that blew right over my head, but I just went with it because I know that Julie will explain everything by the time this series finishes. So I just concentrated on the relationship between Tray and Brigit and Valor. In the previous books, it's been a given that each Akeelian male has a genetically engineered Cygnian Princess soulmate somewhere out in the universe, but none had been mentioned for Tray so I couldn't stop wondering why that was. Well, we find out in this installment what's up with that. And it's a doozy.
We get alot more of the back story on ALCOR, and we see WAY too much of the Evil One - A.K.A. Veila the wanna-be silver princess. Man, I hope someone takes her out with a SEAR cannon real soon! Along the way, Julie's continuing to drop hints about some pretty mind-blowing revelations that are yet to come, and I'm dying to find out what they are!!
Next up is Valor and I seriously can't wait to see how he fares against Veila. Bring it on!
I just closed this book thinking, ahhhh, my poor brain! It’s no surprise that the twists continue and the plot thickens further. It’s not even surprising that the story is completely unpredictable. But what is a pretty cool and surprising aspect of this one is the exploration of reality vs. virtual reality, the construct of time and how the passage is affected and altered by different realities... and the further dive into the everyone is people point from previous books - humans, bots, AIs, etc.. And the characters!!! Holy mind trickery! I’ve got no idea whose side anyone is on at this point. I’m not even sure these characters know themselves anymore. There’s these clear cut lines between pairings of characters, and then there’s this almost... dog eat dog vibe at times. Even within the Harem brotherhood, the Akeelian hot-headedness can take over at the drop of a hat. Put a woman in the middle? All bets are off. Probably the biggest surprise for me in this one was that, for an MMF book, there’s a lot less focus on sex (which still exists, is still hot, yet nowhere near as frequent as in other books), but a lot bigger focus on these very intense emotional relationships between Tray and Brigit, Brigit and Valor, and Valor and Tray, plus the three of them together. Then there’s the resigned relationship Brigit has with her surroundings, and the events she undertakes to alter her own reality. All in all, this book is one multi-faceted ride. And while I kind of love that each installment begs more questions than it answers, I’m very much looking forward to that ‘ahhhh, I get it now!’ moment at the end!
Amazing!! I take notes when I read JA Huss books. With all the twists and turns, surprises and sometimes cliffhanger I found it is so much easier for me to keep notes and that way I won't get lost reading a new book in the series. I also don't reread books, so being able to look over my notes helps out a lot too.
Secrets, secrets and more secrets. A lot of questions are answered and a lot of WTF moments too. This book will blow your mind! Tray and Valor team up to go get ALCOR and Booty. Tray has another plan that Valor doesn't know about. Tray has a lot of plans that don't come to light for a long way into the book.
Valor knows about Tray's "girlfriend" that is in the Pleasure Prison. Tray is on a mission to bust her out of there and keep her to himself.
Velia reappears in this book and she plays a HUGE part in what happens and what she has done in the past.
I know I am being vague, but I really can't tell any more without giving spoilers and man are there so many spoilers to be had. I honestly think this is the book that gives you the A-HA moment. Things will start to click into place and you will be waiting on bated breath for the next book in the series. The sex scenes are fewer, but so much spicier.
This is my fave book of the series! There is so much going on.....sososososo much. I can’t begin to go into all of what went on. Mind blowing. Check. Gut wrenching. Check. Indescribably delicious. Check.
Tray is the star of this book. He is the brains of everything that happened, to his credit and also to his detriment. To say I was shocked by everything that came to light regarding EVERYONE is an understatement. Tray, Brigit, and Valor had me crying and laughing and drooling and wanting more. And then ALCOR, WOW! And A-Hole....at the end! OMG...Talk about laughing my rear end off. Too funny! The surprises just kept piling up. Booty too. I love love love her. I want more of her.
And then the icing on the cake as always is the EOBS(End of book ‘stuff’). This one was out of this world. You must buy the book. This EOBS had so much that put a lot of what I read in this series into focus. A MUST read. Julie thank you so much.
This series deserves so much more than 5 stars, it deserves a couple of galaxies too, at the very least, the Milky Way!
I never question the work of J.A.Huss, I’ve learned if she writes a book you automatically read it & buy it, and so far it always rings true. This book is definitely one of my favorites of the series. The main characters were continuously in the spot light, and the smexy scenes were SUPER satisfying! When I finished the book, I wished I had the next book in my hands!! I NEED the next book! I have so many questions I need answered! LOL Will I recommend(?) Yes! But please do not begin reading here, you absolutely need to start from the beginning! Will I Read more from this Author? Clearly! XD
Prison Princess is the fifth book in the Harlem Station series and OMG is it super hot, also a bit confusing but totally worth it!! The only downside is that I am dying to know what happens next.
This book is interesting because most of the relationship between Tray and Brigit (and sometimes Valor) takes place in a virtual reality...that is until Tray goes to get his woman.
We get some answers that have been plaguing us for a while but more are yet to come and I can’t wait for them!! This book can’t be read as a standalone because the plot had been ongoing since book one but it is definitely one that I highly recommended. It’s very easy to get lost in the whimsical world this author created and I can’t wait to get back into it!
This “world” keeps evolving and the more I learn the more questions I have. But in between the sci-fi revelations we get this sweet sexy relationship. Tray and Brigit aren’t our typical characters though, they have huge secrets. And with all this baggage where will Valor fit in with them? Then there is ALCOR, who is “the sun god of all of the universe” and has a plan. We all know what fate (and Julie) can do with plans. This book is hilarious and tear inducing and a fun fun sci-fi read. I want more, more, more!
Holy shit. I was not expecting this. Wasn’t expecting all of the damn secrets. And sure as heck wasn’t expecting to be more than a little impatient in finding out when the next instalment comes out because, holy buckets!! This series, that I started reading because I thought two dicked aliens would be the greatest diversion ever, has made me retell the story to anyone willing to ask me ‘what are you reading?’. And the funny part? They keep telling me it looks and sounds so very interesting!! Because it truly is!!! Gah!!
Holy moly, what a ride! I didn't see any of that coming..not that I usually do with this author, but this time around it was a lot of things coming and a lot of changes! Tray and Valor teamed up and they are now on a secret mission, a mission that should help Harem Station, but Tray has a secret and he needs Valor's help. I am not even going near the plot cause everyone needs to read it and experience it..I will say that it's hot AF and there are so many twists! I can't wait for the next book cause I bet it's going to be even more twisted!
More secrets and surprised, well I was sort of waiting for them if I`m being honest I was hooked from the first page, gotta say Tray was a lot more interesting than I thought, but then again that`s what J.A Huss is good at doing. She makes you think one thing and then BOOM, its like what the hell just happened. Really enjoyed this story, and once again I`ll be sitting patiently waiting for Harem Station 5 so I can find out what on earth is really going.
OMG, OMG WHAT IN THE HECK IS GOING ON!?!?!?! Mind. Blown. I'm still trying to process what we learn, but even then the plot only thickens or its just scratching the surface. This entire series is so unique. I can't wait for the next one.
Book 3.5. narration 5 = 4⭐ Different from the rest of the series, better in some ways and devoid in others.
I quite liked the story of this one and it did tie up some loose ends as well as lay down some pathways to take you further into the series. Yet, for me personally, I'm done. The next two stories are individuals I'm not really interested in and that's a shame having read so much.
That said, parts of this book are really interesting, I like the whole concept of the unraveling of who Trey is and how he came to be. I also like the concept and development of a parallel love interest. And the whole POV from the AI'S is very interesting. Couple of tweaks and this could easily have been a standalone novel
I really enjoyed the exposure of the story in a way that is a little more realistic, if you could say that about a sci-fi fantasy novel. Especially the relationships. Because seriously, if you have men out in space for long periods of time of course they're going to get together. Something I wish would have been brought up in the previous novels.
Trey and drayden's relationship was explored and the sexual parts were...ok. but she didn't really get into it. Their love and feelings are implied and even spoken about, but yet it's kind of flashed in front of you like a bit of candy at the fair: Here it is kids come get it, and then the booth disappears...
Would love to have seen this MMF as the way it was implied, a loving relationship based on trust and respect that has its ups and downs but ultimately has equanimity. As opposed to your classic MMF where two guys do a girl but don't even make eye contact because you know, that would be "gay". While the book is not the latter it's not the former either.
It kind of hints at that and then all of a sudden everything falls apart in a way that doesn't seem to make any sense based on the experience that they had shared together (in their virtual perception) for literally HUNDREDS of years.
The ALCORs were great, Booty made sense,Veila the vilian was evil, the pseudospace jargon was fun and the concepts were good.
Unlike the others in the series, this one is not so campy, it's a bit more Sci in the Sci-fi and not so much in the humor. Even though they're are parts of it that are really Douglas Adams-y. Especially with the sometimes OTT narration. Something I wish Huss had either been all in with rather than hinting at.
All said and done for me, an okay way to end the series. 2 books short but not really interested in continuing.
Narration as always in the series with the exclusion of one person has been excellent. 5 out of 5
I had so many conflicting feelings regarding Tray, there were times during this book that I was just so mad at him for the decisions he made, the agenda he had that he didn’t share with Luck, Nyleena or even Valor about. At times I even thought he was selfish but ultimately at the end of the day I felt sorry, even sad for him also for Brigit & Draden, none of them asked to become what they did, they were all controlled & manipulated, I even shed a few tears at the situation that they found themselves in.
We spent the whole of this book away from Harem station, it’s going to be interesting to see how the other brothers react, once they discover what has gone on, so much has changed & happened.
My head continues to spin with all the new information unloaded in this book & although we got answers regarding some of the questions, from the previous books, there is a whole set of new mysteries that now need unravelling.
At the moment it’s hard to know who to trust, everyone, including ALCOR, have their own agendas, plans & suspicions.
Veila so far is the Loathsome or evil one so it’s going to be interesting to see how Valor, who currently hates her, how their soulmate bond is going to work out.
Then their is Delphi, what is she & who is Jimmy’s actual soulmate.
Honestly there should probably be a trigger warning on this book for people who deal with dissociation disorders. There is a LOT of pretty in depth philosophizing about going "insane" and whether the characters are God or real. Tray has a conversation with Valor about losing his sense of whether the "real" world is maybe just another simulation. There are several scenes written with both Tray and Brigit about memory issues with one character remembering something differently from the other.
Basically.... amazing book for this aspect alone though I probably shouldn't have read/listened to it. (And because I self trigger against my better judgment I'll probably come back to it again).
This series as the author does so well, grabs you tight and pulls you along a high speed. You find that nothing is always good or bad and there are forces at work that truly make a difference in outcomes. Family and strength of support influence and change the directional flow of people and their lives. I highly recommend these books and in sequence because it is layered for insight. Thanks again to the author! Kills me how you can crank out such amazing stories so rapidly and have them mean something, they are bright and witty and sexy!
This is sassy and HOT but that's a bonus. This a really great story. It's written beautifully. There is suspense, mystery, secrets, revelations, excitement and intrigue and hotness. J.A. Huss knows how to write. Everything just flows and it was really smooth. Based on the cover you would think it's all about the sex and a little bit of story. No, there's more story sprinkled with the heat.
I started the series at this book. I'm not sure why. I purchased it a while ago but can't remember why it was out of sequence. I'll go ahead and start from the start and re-read this one.
Honestly how the author weaves the plots and twists and turns and backgrounds and winds everything together is just amazing. I'm truly blown away by this book. I picked up booty hunter for a light read and am so happy I did and so happy that is not what i got!I This is the best series i have read in a long time in any genre. Veiled vixen, here I come!!! Thank you JA Huss/IS Cross for your amazing stories!!!!
Loved this book even though I still have a load of questions. Tray is such a complicated character and I really enjoyed his story.
KC Cross/JA Huss does such a great job of weaving the web of twisty plot points and making an incredible story. She leaves little nuggets you know are bound to come back and bite you in a later book. Love that.
There are so so so many layers to this series! This particular book is mind blowing! Between the change in point of view to the anomalies of the virtual, not to mention the spin node, I am loving this! Yes, it is very complex, but that is what makes this so good. Nothing is predictable or typical and that is what this author is known for. I love it and am excited to find out what is next.
One would have never guessed from the first two books in the series that the story would have so much complexity by now. There were so many moving parts to this book that it's a job to keep track of all of them. I don't mind at all This is world building at its masterful best. On to the next one
Prison Princess (Harem Station #4) gets technical. Do I understand it all? Hell no... but I do get the gist of this mind blowing, sexy, and exciting series and it has me hooked. Tray, Brigit, and Valor getting to know each other on a “deeper level” was hot! And I must say that the talented narrators all did an amazing job of bringing the complex characters to life.
I don’t like to give spoilers on the books that I read. I believe the blurb on the back is enough for you to decide if you will read the book or not. If you choose to read, enjoy!
