One tempting moment between two strangers changes everything.
Maude Leroux wasn’t looking for romance when she met the sexy out-of-town biker. Lust clouded her judgment. Then the man was gone from her life as quickly as he appeared. Nine months later, the time has come to contact him over what their one night of passion created.
Bronco Parrish is the president of the Elko Executioners Motorcycle Club. He has a love-hate relationship with the town of Shasta. Nine months ago, he met a woman he hasn’t been able to get out of his mind since. Now she’s back with his baby and more than a little baggage. Fortunately, Bronco’s always suffered a weakness for troubled women.
Bronco is the first book in the Elko Executioners Motorcycle Club (EEMC) series and contains graphic sexual content, violent situations, harsh language, and drug use. The book is only appropriate for adult readers age 18+. Trigger warning topics: past abuse.
This is the first book in the new series. Elko Executioners Motorcycle Club. It links to the Reapers MC - Shasta Chapter. Maude/Lana is the link. Now it’s not essential to read the Shasta series first but it would help.
We’ve met Bronco before but it was only briefly.
I enjoyed this one. It’s not a book I’d re-read but it’s a good start to the new series.
I'm about to make a big statement and that's that this is one of my favorite Bijou Hunter books, and this review will have some spoilers for other books. I know thats a big statement and a hard decision but I loved this book. I couldn't wait to gobble it up and I didn't want to stop reading the book. If I'm also being honest I wasn't sure when we first were introduced to Maude/Lana if I actually liked her, I didn't dislike her but I never thought she would get a book and I was ok with that. Then I read Never Say Never and Bijou dropped a big bomb and I couldn't wait to get Maudes story. Thank goodness we didn't have to wait long and man is that a good thing.
Maude had a one night stand and wound up pregnant, then everyone figured out who the baby's dad was and everything was flipped upside down. Now Carina is here and it's time to let someone in particular know. Maudes friends and family aren't sure if they should be happy of weary but they love Maude and support her. Telling Bronco their one night stand had lasting consequences is scary but Maude knows it's the right thing to do, and she is shocked by his reaction.
Bronco isn't sure if this is a set up but he agrees to meet with a rival maybe not rival anymore MC. He walks into their home and finds the girl he's thought about since their one night together holding a beautiful baby who is his. Not sure how this could possibly work out Bronco knows he has to try. He's made some bad choices in his life but he loves his kids. Unfortunately woman are one of those choices and trusting isn't easy either. Lana the woman who had his child, whose real name is Maude seems different but after years of mistrust and running an MC Bronco has a hard time trusting but he also knows he has to try.
Neither could guess what is to come next, with family, children, the MC, friends and rivals. But most of all the love they find with each other and their children, all the while falling in love they quickly come to realize they are what the other has been looking for their entire life. But while some aspects of their new life seems perfect nothing is easy in the life they both choose to live and the lives they had in the past.
I loved seeing this new world converge on an old world with old friends we have gotten to know. The writing and flow of this book is amazing. The storyline both old and new is so exciting not only is this story wonderful but we get a whole new world with new characters and beginnings of new stories yet to be told.
Bronco isn't what he seemed in the previous books he has many sides to him and he is a complicated but wonderful man, who loves hard and protects those he love even harder. Maude/Lana has been hurt and treated badly but she loves her girls and wants to do right. That decision opens her up to a whole new world and a whole new Lana one who see's who she really is and finds what she has always been missing while coming to realize she is more than a former stripper.
This is a must read, I can't recommend it enough and I also couldn't be more excited for the next book to come and to see what will happen. We are given some big storylines in this book and the next book is going to be big from where this book leaves us. I can't wait!
I guess I’m one of the few who didn’t enjoy the story for a few reasons and spoilers ahead:
1. It didn’t seem like he made much effort to seek her out or find her. Even after they are reunited because of the baby, she made more of an effort than him.
2. He wasn’t celibate during their months apart. I hate it when it’s written that the hero ‘couldn’t stop thinking about her’ but then still sticks his dick into club bunnies until he sees her again with the baby.
3. It took a long time for him to trust her and he was so mean to her the first time she visited.
I liked the way the heroine was written, and I loved her with their daughters. 3 stars for them.
I haven't read the author's book in series order and the books I did read were ages ago so I don't remember them so I would say although there are links to the authors other work this can be read as a standalone but be aware there are references to other books. Both Hero and heroine have children and then they have a baby together from a ONS. I wasn't too keen on the way they talked in front of their various aged kids but on the whole it was a good book. The book starts with the Hero and heroine meeting up after the birth of the baby to inform the Hero that he is a father. I liked that we get on with the story straight away. It's basically how they can work out being together. Loads of secondary characters introduced for future books in series and previous characters from previous books in series appear too. No intimate scenes other than the Hero and heroine. The Hero has daughters by other women and the heroine is divorced but other than that their relationship history doesn't really have much detail.
Dual POV. As it's dual POV I did find it a bit repetitive going over the same scene from the different perspective. HEA.
Maude Leroux knows she needs to tell the father of her child he is a dad. She didn't think she would ever see him again after one beautiful night together but things fell into place and her friend Shelby knew how to find him.
Bronco Parrish isn't thrilled to be heading to Shasta under secrecy. His rival club asked for him to show up but kept mum as to why. When he sees Lana Maude Leroux he sees the beautiful stripper he spent one night with holding a baby who he has to hazard a guess is his. Bronco wants to be part of his babies life and he wants to get to know Lana, but he has a history of hooking up with the wrong women. Lana though has an innocence to her and the way she is with her daughter and his girls makes him think that luck maybe on his side. Lana is weary of moving to Elkos but she knows that Bronco is a good dad and believes that seeing if they can build something together will turn out to be the best choice she has ever made, will it?
Bronco is intense, probably one of the more intense bikers this author has written. I thought this was wonderful, both Bronco and Lana are trying to find their footing with one another. There are so many layers to the characters in the book and I couldn't put it down. Wonderful read.
This is my 4th Bijou Hunter book and her books are a fun change of pace. Her writing style is definitely unique and maybe not for everyone. I like it, obviously, even though my attempt to describe it may not sound complimentary... The best way I can think to describe it is to call it "dry" like dry humor. The characters are just odd enough that they don't feel relatable and it makes them a little unrealistic to me, but in a good way because they can do more weird shit and it's amusing rather than annoying, if that makes any sense lol ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ and 90% of the characters in all of the books I've read of hers have really weird names like: Topanga, Bronco, Sidonie, Barbie, Maude, Bambi, etc. so it just adds to the unrelateable weirdness of them.
As far as plot goes this is definitely family-focused with Bronco and Lana/Maude trying to blend two families with a new baby. I love plots that focus heavily on kids and oops pregnancies so this was fun for me.
I wasn't set on continuing the series just because sometimes I prefer to jump around to different books and authors rather than hoping I like the next books as much as the first, but I think I might try the next book because the heroine for that one is from a hippie cult and I just know Bijou is going to make her so fucking weird 😂
I usually love the quirky characters in Bijou’s books. I did like the beginning and thought he it would be a 5 star read but halfway through it just got plain boring. Lana is a divorced stripper and mother of one daughter. She has a ons with biker prez bronco. 9 months later she has a baby girl. Bronco has 2 daughters already. They get together and have one big happy family.
MC’s living in Victorian mansions and gated communities.
Ten months ago Bronco (the President of Elmo Executioners MC) and Lana (her stripper name) connected. A lap dance and an encounter in the backseat of her SUV, ta~da, a one month old baby, Carina.
He’s riding to Shasta, Kentucky, to meet with the President of the local motorcycle club’. The president of the Reapers Motorcycle Club in Shasta, Kentucky isn’t a fan of his. They’ve met a handful of times since he took over the town. Last summer, he visited Shasta to discuss matters in the best interests of their clubs. River Majors wanted to freak out the locals in the nearby town with the sight of a dozen bikers showing up at once. The guy loves to play his games and he’s a proverbial flirt. This latest invitation feels different. Shelby Campbell insisted they meet at their blue grandma mansion in the nice part of Shasta. Thirty-six people live in the house.
Shasta is a little town that wreaked havoc for decades, he’s wanted control of the town. That dream died when the Reapers bulldozed the former club that ran Shasta. River Majors is a second-generation tough guy. His dad owns a solid reputation for making people disappear. Long-haired and blond, River comes off as a dumb hippie, but it’s a ruse. Just like how he and his friends live in this grandma house in the fancy part of town. They put on a show to throw off people’s perceptions. This neighbourhood is upscale pretty for a small town. However, it’s no Woodlands at Dry Creek—the gated community exclusive to the Executioners MC, a place his club calls home. Lana’s sister, Max (Maxine) is River’s wife. Shelby, is River’s assistant and Lana’s pregnancy buddy, they delivered girls a month apart. Strapped to her chest is her week-old daughter, Kirby.
His girls don’t live a life of violence. Their father might be a murderer, but they’re not tainted by violence. A few years ago, Summer took a bullet to the stomach fired by a member of the Crushed Skullz MC. Healed now, his oldest daughter never mentions the events but their lives were unbalanced. All her life, he promised to keep her safe, but she was targeted to exact revenge. For fifteen years, they’ve lived in an oversized, custom-built house located at the center of the Woodlands at Dry Creek subdivision. His widowed sister, BARBIE lives in the house next door with her son, Conor (she’s psychotic). His eldest sister, BAMBI lives with her husband (his club brother), Rooster, on the other side.
His eleven-year-old daughter, Sidonie is sitting in the kitchen, her blonde hair shines next to her pink shirt, and she seems in a relaxed mood. “I need a family meeting.” “Who’s in trouble?” Sidonie asks, grinning at me. My youngest—scratch that, my middle daughter—is a tenderhearted child. Sidonie has her mom’s fair blue eyes, freckled nose, and a sweet smile that always makes her look dreamy. The daddy’s girl is at my side after I convince Summer and my sisters to stay put long enough for a chat. We sit in the two-story family room, where my oldest daughter struggles against the urge to check her phone for the hundredth time since sitting down. My brassy blonde sisters are getting long in the tooth, but they still retain the natural beauty they inherited from our mother. Sitting on the couch’s arm, Barbie messes with Summer’s wild dark blonde hair while Bambi leans back in a chair and smiles at me. “Well, get to it, boy.” No matter how old we get, my sisters will always talk to me as if I’m a child needing them to wipe my ass. “Last summer, I met a woman.” “For f-k’s sake,” Bambi says and rolls her blue eyes. “Use a condom”.
He muses that he’s gotten unlucky with the ladies he’s knocked up over the years. Summer’s mum was trash; Sidonie’s mum not much better. Lana is beautiful enough for him to believe he’s finally made a kid with someone who won’t abandon it in a dumpster. Admittedly, his expectations for a baby mama aren’t particularly high (funny stuff). He’s in a MC to counteract the abundance of females in his life.
The Reapers and the Executioners aren’t on friendly terms. River’s face was blanched of all colour. Shelby appears from the basement, where her office is located. Strapped to her chest is her week-old daughter, Kirby. They were preggo pals, delivering a month apart. Lana is filled with insecurities, convinced her only value is her physical appearance.
Visiting him, she is accompanied by her mum, her eldest daughter, Desi and her baby Carina. Bronco’s sisters are unwelcoming, hostile, abrasive and downright mean. His daughters and sisters don’t like her. It’ll never end because that’s who they are, and that’s how they treat outsiders. Bronco seems to love his girls, and he didn’t hesitate to claim Carina. It might not always be easy, but she’ll grow up feeling loved in Shasta and Elko.
The Executioners and the Skullz had an ongoing feud until the Skullz were stripped of their club. They’d burn down each other’s meth labs or tamper with shipments. Sometimes, they’d jump a member of one club or shoot up club-owned property. No one died, but they were overtly hostile.
One particular incident caused bad blood for Shane (Shelby’s brother). It involves the shooting of Bronco’s daughter and how the clubs handled payback. His eldest daughter, Summer was shot. Skullz did a drive-by at a hamburger place where the Executioners hang out. Summer was there and was shot. They do not think it was coincidental.
Her last years were challenging, she took Adderall to stay awake and work more. Sleeping, dancing at the club, and taking care of the house. Took its toll, she’d long checked out of her marriage to her larcenous husband. Then she had a heart attack and realised she was about to die before thirty. She made the decision to get healthy and focus on her daughter.
Desi looks up at Bronco wanting a hug. “Having fun at school?” he asks. “No,.That’s my dog.” Grinning, he meets Zathura. Shelby and Taylor lose what’s left of their patience. They walk over and force him into long handshakes. “We’re trying to intimidate you,” Shelby announces in case he misses the point. “It’s not working.” Shelby frowns down at Kirby strapped to her chest. “It’s the baby, isn’t it? She’s always killing my edge.” “That doesn’t explain why he’s not intimidated by me,” Taylor mutters, having lost Greer when Max needed a baby to hold. “ He senses you’re expecting your first kid,” Shelby explains to Taylor. “
The man has fifteen kids. He can just tell these things.” Bronco only smiles at their banter. I’ve warned him plenty about my Shasta friends, and he’s heard Barbie’s very strong views on “that Shelby bitch.”
His sister Barbie is utterly and completely psychotic, physically attacking Lana, shoving her into the refrigerator as she’s holding her newborn-baby.
The Shasta group comes to visit. “I didn’t want to be a part of this,” he mutters and crosses his arms. “I gave you a kid!” Shelby cries. “ Now be my human shield.” Shelby doesn’t waste time throwing balloons at the girls. She only fires at me. I don’t know if she was a pitcher in school or something, but every balloon hits its mark. Laughing, I grab my pail and chase her around while the girls start throwing balloons at each other. “I’m trying to help you, Shelby,” I taunt as she hurries toward the grassy area with her remaining balloons. “Slow down, so my love will be more obvious.”.
“I will hurt you in ways that will disqualify you from having a third child. Now just stay over there.”
“No!” Shelby screams and takes off running. “Dean, save me!” Her man just frowns. “You used me as a human shield.” “ That was out of love!” she hollers, running around the long tables while River keeps up. “Get her, Go-Go!” Max cheers.
This was unlike any previously read MC book, especially reverting to childish antics.
Bronco (EEMC#1) is the first book in Bijou Hunter's new series. Bronco is the President of the Executioners, who we were introduced to in Reapers MC (Shasta series) as their rivals. In the last book of the Shasta series we discovered that Maude (Lana as Bronco knows her) had hooked up one night with Bronco not knowing who he was and was now having his baby. I wondered where Bijou was going to take this story, there was some bad blood between these two MC's and Lana didn't sound like the strongest person but as always I was delighted by these two character's. Bronco starts out being cold and unpredictable and Lana doesn't know how to deal with him. As she spends more time with him and his girls' she sees a different man than everyone else see's. Bronco has major trust issues and when you hear about his past it's quite understandable but the more time he spends with Lana the more he wants what she has to offer for him and his girls. He sees how wonderful they would all be together and he's not willing to let go. This story was mainly about love, friendships, adorable girls that were so cute and a bit MC drama. I love how good this left me feeling and how delightful the characters were but now I have to know what happened with Anders and his hippy chick.
I received a copy of this story from the author for a honest review.
This book was NOT what I expected!! I didn’t know how to feel about Elko, but as always, I was blown away. I laughed out loud, I was moved, I enjoyed the ride! Do yourself a favor, and get to know our newest MC family!!
It was with this book that I realized I’m a crazy person. Like I was soooo defensive - acting like Shane and snarling every time the Elko people mistreated Lana and Desi. I definitely wanted to commit some kind of violence against Bronco’s sisters for sure. Even Topanga who I thought would be a safe spot blew that by talking a bunch of shit to Lana. When we got visits from the Reapers/their women my only thoughts were “thank god the family’s here.” See what I mean. Crazy person. BUT I hope Bijou takes this as a testament to how much I enjoy her writing and how thoughtfully she created her Reapers world so that it TRULY feels like family to her readers.
Like usual, this was very well written. This was about the evolution of Bronco and Lana’s relationship with virtually no club business or danger. Bijou always excels at building relationships and that was done very well here with drama of a blended traditional family AND club family. The club business we did get was a setup for future books and I’m pretty excited to see how that craziness plays out. I hope we get a Conor story - it’s the outwardly calm ones that usually have the crazy inside.
It was hard for me to connect with Bronco and Lana because we missed their first meeting and then it was gangbusters. But more so, I think I just brought a ton of preconceived notions into it and it took me until after the 50% mark to get past them. We’ve seen Bronco before as the “enemy” and both of them had a TON of baggage (ha ha not referring to the kids here but there are a lot of those too!). I’ve come around to the anticipation of a new club now that we’ll have a clean slate from this point forward.
I promised to pace myself reading this but failed. I couldn't stop once I got sucked in.
So Lana aka Maude we already knew this was coming but wow the story was so good Bronco is a very powerful MC president strong alpha male that you would not even think he has a soft side but when it comes to his kids wow just wow. There is a part where Sidonie and Desi (Lana & Bronco Kids) have a little melt down and I cried happy tears of how these two little people became so united. I felt so sorry for Lana when she appeared in previous books but I like how she is in a much better place in this book. There are a few big story-lines that already I can see happening in the future which makes me soooo excited Barbie and Bambi are a pair of ticking time bombs. I'm really loving the new characters. Elko Executioners has me so excited for what is to come.
I totally recommend this book you need to read the previous series Reapers Mc as those characters make an appearance and it will push your imagination along knowing the backstory of these two. In this book there is romance, alpha male, beautiful strong woman, laugh out loud moments and suspense for what is to come.
Omg! I loved this book! It was so much more than I was expecting! I wasn’t sure how I was going to like the Elco Executioners. Boy was I pleasantly surprised because I loved them! The story drew me in from the start and before I knew it it was over! I didn’t want it to end! The Executioners have some interesting members and his sisters, Bambi and Barbie are a handful to have to deal with. Bronco and Lana( Maude) had a baby after hooking up one night. Lana wasn’t sure what their relationship was going to be, but Bronco wanted them in his life all the time and was going to prove that she could count on to be there for her. I loved Lana and Bronco’s kids! Summer, Sododie, Desi and baby Carina added so much to the story! All together they made a great family! Bronco was a fantastic start to what is going to be a great series! Once again Bijou has written another fantastic Mc romance! I can’t wait for Titan book 2 in the EEMC series!
So I’m coming from Junkyard Dog which I gave 5 stars. This book doesn’t even seem like the same author. The writing even feels off. Sometimes I found where it wasn’t even clear if the person was talking in current or past tense.
But the characters....I think the only one I liked was Goliath and we only see him once. All of the characters have big personalities but are still amazing flat characters. I’ve never felt anxious to turn the pages simply because I didn’t actually want to deal with the characters. All of them are weak. Yes, all of them, even Bronco. All of the characters were just draining. Sounds crazy to say flat and draining, but it’s how I felt.
The storyline was almost non existent. Even the build up wavers and then falls flat.
While I actually disliked the book, I kind of finished. But I have to read a different book because the first from this author was so good.
I was a little trepidatious about this book. On one hand - WOOHOO - a new Bijou Hunter book about a new MC. But on the other hand - I wasn’t the biggest fan of Maude when she was first introduced. But Ms Hunter worked her Bijou magic and made me fall in love with the character of Maude/Lana. She delved beneath the robotic armour and brought Lana to life. Her interactions with her daughters - and Bronco’s daughters - show the real woman behind the mask. And she is lovely. Damaged but beautiful inside as well as on the outside. And Bronco. Wow! He’s older but can still kick anyone’s behind. Including his nephew. And the way he was with all of his girls? Swoon!! He loves hard and with everything he is. For Lana that meant being safe and loved enough to be the woman - and mother - she was always meant to be. Beautiful. Every time.
I really didn’t want Bronco to get a story. I didn’t like what he allowed to happen to Ramona- I mean, really what kind of man allows a girl to be traded versus going after the men responsible? Even after that’s explained I still hate it. However, if I put that part aside, I found myself liking him. He was the man Lana needed. He gave her safety, protection and love, all of which she never felt nor had. Lana, on the other hand, gave Bronco unconditional love, a mother for his other children and showed that she would stick by his side, all of which he never had. He was able to be vulnerable with her and only her, knowing he could trust her. I really enjoyed the character building and getting to meet everyone. I’m especially intrigued by Anders and Conor. I cannot wait for their stories.
Couldn’t get enough of this book. It’s aptly named because for me this book is all Bronco. Not to say I didn’t like Lana, because I did. But Bronco as a dad, as a leader, as a lover and partner/husband was so so good. His character was so down to earth but badass too. He talked to his kids with total candor, no sugar coating which I would expect from a man like him. He showed his flaws and owned them which was refreshing for an Mc book. Lana character was at her best with the kids. She was a soft steady presence that tried so hard to show them love and affection. She complemented Bronco in a way that made you just want to keep reading about them and how they strengthened their bond with each other and with their family. Great book!
This is the first book in a new series. There is no cliffhanger, but there is a hook for the next book. This series follows others set in the same world and has crossovers between these series of history and characters.
Maude is a single mother and a stripper, who performs as Lana, who is recently divorced from a waste of space ex-husband. She hasn’t had a great life and lives in a very tightly locked down way. However, when she sees Bronco the president of Elko Executioners MC where she worked she fell for him hard. They end up in the back of her SUV and she doesn’t see him again until she asks her brother in law, the president of an MC with whom he has a very tenuous peace, to find him.
Bronco started the EEMC when he was 19 years old and filled with rage and ambition. He succeeded in taking his town and has built up wealth and power as a result. However satisfied he is with his life, he’s not truly happy. He has two daughters, both from different mothers who were club bunnies. Both women were dreadful mothers and Brono took the oldest when her mother badly neglected her and the second daughter he raised from birth because he didn’t want to make the same mistake twice.
When Bronco is summoned to Shasta, where he met the woman he knows as Lana, he finds her holding a baby who has his sister’s nose. He trusts her when she says the baby is his, but has a DNA test anyway and they plan for her to visit with the baby.
Both Lana and Bronco are really attracted to each other still and have thought of the other often, but the distance and the situation between the clubs made them wary of trying to find the other, until after the baby was born. Bronco is a very loving father and he knows he wants to be in his daughter’s life, no matter what, but he also starts thinking about having Lana too.
I got this book as a freebie during a promotion for MC books. I remembered that had read some books by this author and decided to try this one. I’m glad I did because it reminded me that I like Bijou Hunter’s books and I will go back to the series where I left off before. Because this book is part of several connected series I feel like I missed out on a lot of backstory, however, the author gives the information that is necessary to make sense of the plot.
The writing style is quite observational and alternates between Bronco and Lana’s point of view. There is a lot of internal descriptive prose rather than speech, which can make the book seem a little subdued sometimes in settings that anything but. This is because both Lana and Bronco are very self controlled people. They have a tight hold of their emotions and this is reflected in their internal monologue.
The story is actually really sweet for a romance between a murdering biker and a stripper. The blending of their two families is bumpy in places and downright rocky in others, but there are some glowing positives right away, especially with Desi, Lana’s first daughter and Sidonia, Broco’s second daughter who are instantly the best of friends.
Most of the focus on this book is on the family and the romance and how both main characters have fought to make themselves better people and better parents. There is some MC plot but it’s in the background and Lana knows nothing about it.
This was a compelling book and I enjoyed reading it, but I think you need to be a specific mindset to enjoy it. I will go back to the books I missed out though, because I do enjoy these stories and the way this author looks at the world.
I loved this novel! This was a new series with characters that had been presented in previous novels. So going in I wasn't sure what to expect. But I jumped in and was not disappointed. This novel grabbed me from the very first page and did not let go until the very last. It was so good! I loved the dialogue and the banter. No one does dialogue and banter better. From previous novels I was not sure if I could warm up to Bronco, I loved him and Lana together. I loved revisiting characters from previous novels. It was like coming home. I can't wait to see what is coming next. Loved it!
This book was a bag of crazy. I also kept thinking as I was reading this... 'what's the point of this?' and I honestly don't know what it is. It was choppy and kinda lukewarm. I can only assume this book is a vehicle to introduce a new town of people because this was a snoozer.
There's no real relationship building and we're not even there for the first time Lana and Bronco meet, because that happens nine months before this book starts. And then they fall in love almost immediately in the story and then it's just dealing with crazy family issues that were more sad and depressing than anything interesting.
I usually love bijou's books but not this one!!!! Bronco behaves more like an assh''' and wow ...who would touch a dick that had unprotected sex with not one but several club bombs and maude has no personality what so ever. All she ever thinks about is humping bronco even when he ''Hiss's" at her . Hiss's...really, IDTS. Truly she is written as an oversexed MORON. Frankly the turf war between the two MCs because they destroyed each other's Meth labs...uhh No, it's just a really, Really unappealing story. I stopped at 68% and removed the download.
Bronco is book 1 in the Elko Executioners Motorcycle Club by Bijou Hunter. Bronco is the president of the Executioners MC an older biker with a family that he is very much committed to. Poor Maude. She had such a tough life. Bronco came into her life when she really needed someone. She definitely needed her HEA.
The book had lots of MC and family drama, Bronco's crazy sisters, a very cute Desi and we got to revisit a few of the Reapers. The epilogue really finished the book. Bijou Hunter never disappoints.
The things I really loved about this book are the characters, the new location and the new MC. Getting some of our Shasta group mixed in made it nearly perfect. I wasn’t too sure about Lana until the last Shasta book but I wanted her to have a HEA. Bronco is an amazing man who reminds me of Kirk (Reapers) a lot.
Good storyline that I am looking forward to reading more of. Keep it up Bijou Hunter you are amazing!
It seems like I missed some books. A lot of new to me charakters. I enjoyed the books of this author I've read so far. But this one was very annoying. I I got it the first times :she's insecure and her parents didn't love her (she thought).... It's really chaotic. Everybody, even the kids do what they want. Nobody's saying no, until someone gets hurt... This book wasn't for me, I hope the second is better.
My favorite author, her story telling draws you in and keeps you there until the end, of which you won't want to see come to a end. Her characters are so believable to their storyline, every person is like or could be the main. I enjoy reading this authors work, I look forward to the next book, she doesn't disappoint. She covers every emotion, I could watch her books come to life as a Lifetime movie over and over.
Sadly this story just didn’t work for me. I tried to get into the story but felt like there was too much going on. It’s one thing to have a lot of side stories going on if they make sense but these didn’t. Broncos sisters being loud mouth and crazy I get to a point but then it kinda became too much. The village cult? What was that? I don’t know? The whole story just wasn’t my cup of tea.
