I have struggled with the feelings of feeling I am not good enough, my thoughts don't matter, and at times not liking myself very much. This book opened up where the root of these lies were coming from. It was from early childhood, and somehow it became who I THOUGHT I was. Now that I have the tools I am going to break the pattern and learn to Love myself again. One other thing that I have noticed is that the enemy is very quick to use my thoughts against me and delights in my beating myself up and taking reactions of others as something that is wrong with me.
The author gives some examples of his own negative thinking cycles and how having thoughts about something, and having emotions about something, and having emotions about having thoughts about something, and how having these thoughts and emotions tangled together are at the core of how we torture ourselves. His guides are easy to follow, concisely written, and delivered in a friendly and compassionate tone. You will find the solution in this book. Highly recommended.
I have thought negative things all my life but I want to change because I want a more inner peace and I want to know all there is to fully accepting me for me and love me so much and these book I would recommend to all the people that stand in there world of silence those who live with some kind of illness it is a mental illness a or any incapacitated person because they should learn to love themselves first thank you for these book
احساسات نه خوبن و نه بد، بلکه فقط هستن و نباید از این بودنشون، شرمنده، ناراحت، عصبانی و ... باشم افکار ما از احساسات ما جداست و اغلب ما افکار رو به جای احساساتمون بیان میکنیم، در واقع در بسیاری از مواقع جمله درست اینه: من فکر میکنم فلان، و این به من احساس بهمان رو میده کل کتاب درباره همین دو تا نکته است، نه روش خاصی میگه و نه لزوماً خیلی مطلب داره، اما همین آگاهی رو که به آدم میرسونه به نظرم کفایت میکنه. من همینا رو بتونم یاد بگیرم بسه
This was an interesting read, and I personally am always working to build a better version of me and working to love myself again is definitely in need and that is why I chose to read this book and it was very helpful! I had no idea where to start with loving myself. I was in an abusive relationship for 3 years and it’s honestly been about 18 years since I loved myself. I appreciate all the ideas and steps. For once in a long time I feel hopeful.
