Humans are innocent until proven guilty. Supernaturals were held to a higher standard. By possessing abilities with great power, we were guilty until proven innocent. It kept our crime rate lower, but it also sentenced people to a purgatory that wasn't easily endured. As the daughter of the greatest drug lord in our city, it didn't come as a shock when I was one of the prime suspects for my father's murder. Prison didn't bother me because I knew something worse. Trauma came in many forms. They called me the sheltered princess. They had no idea I had already burned in Hell.
