Really hope there is a SheBop 3 to look at Amy Winehouse, Lily Allen et al.

This is a great overview of women in pop music, but sometimes you get a bit too much of the author seeming like a fan reliving a star-sighting. She obviously displays excitement and gratitude for her experiences in meeting some of the ladies in question, and this isn't a problem, but it makes some sections drag a little.

i wanted to love this more than i did, but it still had some great parts! the author had a tendency to interpret people’s decisions wildly on scant evidence. and came across more fangirly than critic at times. also the structure was perplexing - it felt copied and pasted in a haphazard way in some chapters. but was overall a solid read!
