He’s also a lover. Thoughtful, intuitive, and sincere, he can’t help but grow even more infatuated with Eva when she comes to town seeking refuge for her weary heart. Respectfully giving her space to recover, Hezekiah holds back. Yet, when her pain becomes his, lines must be drawn and every card played. Can Eva stand on her own two feet? Will Hezekiah’s savior complex leave him jolted once again? Or will they both discover the difference between being saved and finally being free? *Please This is a spinoff. These characters were originally introduced in Strumming My Pain. SMP does not have to be read first, but it will give you a foundational glimpse into their lives.*

Can I Call You Rose?

I was a goner when Ki asked, "Can I call you Rose?" That man said they've been married in his head, lol. He said he knew from the first time he saw her picture that she was his wife. I was waiting on this story and B. Love didn't disappoint. These Moses brothers are something serious. Makes me want to do all kinds of nasty things to them. Ki was so patient and gentle with Eva. He truly was everything she needed. As soon as this book hit my kindle everything ceased. And when Saint said what he said my heart melted. I LOVE THIS BOOK! My soul is satisfied.

Beautiful love story

I was anticipating this story and it exceeded expectations. I fell in love with Hezekiah in Strumming My Pain and wow...he is such a "teddy bear", a sweetheart. He was definitely the one for Eva. Wow, Eva has been through it but what I admired about her was her perseverance and strength. Could you blame her for her reluctance after all she's been through? Yet I love that Hezekiah was patient with Eva through the process. I was so relieved that there wasn't the typical drama in this book. Instead we get a strange turn of events as to why the baby daddy wanted custody. Whew...just grateful it all turned out beautifully in the end. B. Love did it again!

So so good!

Some books are meant to savor and enjoy. You guys, I loved Hezekiah; he was a man's man. He gave Eva a reason to trust in herself and to believe in love again. What Miles tore down in Eva; Hezekiah built up and made stronger. I did not understand how Miles could have gotten away with cheating on his wife for years. And how did Miles expect Eva to accept his scraps for her little man. It was okay because a real man had her covered. The backstory with Izeah, Elise, Bailey and little Saint added to this wonderful story. It will be nice to hopefully see them again some day.

She did it again

B. Love is definitely one of the queens of romance! This book was so rich and full of genuine and authentic love. Not the struggle love that’s been popular lately, but love that not only honored the woman but the man as well. This was an amazing read!

being plopped in the middle of the budding relationship relied too heavily on you believing prior building so I didn’t entirely feel the chemistry. but the hero was sweet & this felt like a nice little snippet in these character’s lives.

LOVED IT

This was a great spinoff to Strumming My Pain. I was looking forward to reading Hezekiah and Eva's story. Hezekiah was the perfect man for Eva. He knew the moment he laid eyes on her she was going to be his wife and no one could tell him different. Although Eva was dealing with her own issues, Hezekiah had her back through it all and even accepted her son as his own. He was willing to do whatever it took to get her to see that not all men are the same if she would just give him a chance. I was happy that Eva decided to do what she felt was right and take that chance with Hezekiah. This is truly a story of when a man has finally found the woman he loves and the lengths he would go to make her happy. Beautiful story.

I thought Izeah was bae but Hezekiah is husband material through and through

Hezekiah had more patience than any man I know. A whole year before he got just a kiss from Eva. I loved his approach towards her as well when he realized that forcing her to be with him would traumatize her to believing that he was like all the others. Eva truly handled Miles and his wife with as much class as possible. Miles was scum and then wanting to keep Saint only to keep his wife happy was crazy. I appreciate him for doing what's right but it's sad at the same time. The way Hezekiah spoke life and love into Eva was something that I'm sure made every reader swoon (yes, I said swoon lol) for him even more!!

Brown Girl Book Geek Review

Shout-out to mama and daddy Moses, because they did their thing when they raised their sons. Hezekiah every ounce of love, loyalty, and patience personified. The way he stepped in and showered Eva and Saint with his unwavering love and affection was beyond beautiful. And it was so great to see Eva open up herself to allow love in. I loved the importance the author placed on highlighting that as a mother, you can't allow yourself to lose sight of you. And that the balance of making sure that you as a woman is satisfied in other aspects of her life will make things that much grounded on the mothering side. And I enjoyed that we got to see more from Izeah and Elise. This whole family was a win for me.

With His Song

Enlightened to your better half’s soul by only seeing a picture (nothing but manifestation of desires being revealed)

Knowing that all of the struggling and juggling will result in the greatest joy if only one would release and let go (watch it work out)

Ki - hard worker, humbled, loyal, and family man
Eva - learns to accept help and weave new path

Though the journey will never be the same the outcome always and will forever remain unprecedented for all because it is pre-ordained

Miles is commendable because he knew he was only trying to appease someone else but never truly accepting his son would become a disaster (selfless)

Eva and Hezekiah

Let me say, these male characters (some) that B.Love creates always have me say “I want a man like him” LOL! Hezekiah is the most patient, loving, thoughtful man that Eva needed. Not only for herself but also for her son Saint. I was in awe when he told Eva she was his wife when he first met her. Although it Eva time to start to give Hezekiah a chance at loving her, I’m so glad she let her guard down to do so. Now as much as I can’t stand Miles, the only thing I respect him for doing is giving up the rights to his son. Oh and his wife Dreya needed to get dragged one good time.

All Of Me Loves All Of You

This book hit another way and opened me all the way up because I had the best stepfather who was more of a father than my birth father. Hezekiah loved Eva from day one and he loved and accepted Saint as part of a package deal. Hezekiah made sure that Eva and Saint were taken care of and always protected especially from Miles. I love the sibling closeness between Eva and Elise and Izeah and Hezekiah and how they all bucked up towards Miles and his wife at Saint's birthday party. I loved the chemistry that Hezekiah and Eva had that made you just want to fall in love all over again. I hope we find out what Hezekiah planted in Eva's garden.

Beautiful and Soul Stirring

If you've ever been in a relationship that made you feel Iike God just didn't have love written in your story then this is the book to give you hope. While Elise and Zays story this one hit different. I loved how Zi helped Eva come to love and trust herself before she got grounded in him. I love the showcase of black love in its purest form with raw language and not painted in the prettiest of pictures but with God's purpose wrapped around it. Another great novel from B Love who is quickly becoming one of my favorites because of her in depth lessons about love, grace, and the resilience of love.

I needed this!!

I have to point out that when Eva said Elise her sister was her sole mate I real life cried!! That was beautiful...

Eva was so relatable...the pain of healing after being hurt and wanting to dive head first into the only good thing you have and that loves you your Babe man I felt her.

Ki was so patient but knew what he wanted and what God said was for him! I love that he wanted no hand in the process but God's!

All that was missing was Miles getting that work!

Ki knew Eva was his the first time he saw her face, when he said your husband during the first text I about lost it... That's what I'm talking about claiming it right then. Eva had so many bad experiences that she realize Ki was the one but he stayed firm and her this is God's plan , Saint just took over my heart especially when he said Ki first I was laughing so hard... now Miles and his wife I wanted to shake both of them real good he knew that he didn't want that responsibility but I'm he owned up to it. Great book

A must read 🔥

This book is a must read even without reading Strumming My Pain first (read that book too).
Ki was everything that Eva needed. He embodied love and showed that when a man knows what he wants he goes after it. Eva was scared of love but knew that Ki was her man. He loved not only her but her son, they were one family. Ki made it known that Eva and Saint were his family. I loved how this book was very low on drama and current with today’s time(WAP). Great job B.Love, looking forward to your next release.

Another great read

B Love consistently writes stories I vibe with. Hezekiah can be my new book bae. He recognized who would be his wife on sight and worked to let her know it. A man can say that right words but a man of action is what women want. I’m glad Miles didn’t allow his wife to cause his son to suffer, because no matter what DNA said when Ki stepped in the picture he became the Daddy.

So worth the wait!

I had eyes on this book when I first saw that there was going to be a spin-off. I absolutely fell in love with Hezekiah and Eva before this book came out. Hezekiah is IT!! 🥰He had me swooning the entire book. I loved everything that this book had to offer. The love was real and so obvious. I was just waiting for Eva to come to terms with Hezekiah being the man for her. So very good read! ❤️

With His Song

Ki demonstrated patience and discipline. Eva was a mother first and due to past experiences protective of her heart.
Ki made sure to pace himself and give her time to catch up. He knew what and who he wanted and was determined to have her.
The love Ki showed Saint was enough to melt anyone’s heart.
B. Love writes realistic stories that make you appreciate love.

Screaming Hezakiah! That man is just everything! He fell in love with Eva, after looking at her picture; and there was no telling this man that she would not be his! He was so patient, loving, and supportive of her while she was trying to figure things out for herself and Saint. She could not have asked for a better man to walk her journey of life with. I cannot stop smiling at these two! ❤️
Such a great read! 👍👍👍

Amazing

Ki and E are just...ugh no words!
The Moses men are a different breed and those independent Waters women are what I NEEDED.

I loved how much Ki brought up that God told him E was going to be his wife. Both of them thanking God for each other and calling each other their blessings was so beautiful!

There was so much love in this book and I could feel every bit of it.

THIS IS A MUST READ!

Hezekiah=MAN

Thanks B for this perfect depiction of how a man who truly cares for a woman should be. Eva was a woman hurt from loving the wrong men. Hezekiah was a man willing to help her heal from that hurt and show her true love! He was so patient, kind, and loving! He accepted all of her and gave her time to accept and appreciate his love! In the end, she couldn’t resist the LOVE staring her in the face from a real MAN!

Ki and Eva

Saint just stole my heart. Him and ki going back and forth was cute and bonding for them. Ki was a stand up guy. He manifested his wife. Eva just had to catch up. How he allowed his silence to speak volumes to her was amazing. He did speak when necessary but he allowed Eva to come on her own. Their chemistry was sickening because you knew it was all in perfect planning and destiny.

You did it again!!!

B Love strikes again with a banger read. Hezekiah was definitely BAE. His love for Eva was soooo sweet and when he asked to call her Rose I melted for her. Hunny, their relationship is everything and definitely goals. I’m glad Eva was able to get passed Miles trifling self and his crazy wife. They both were trifflin. This was such a great read and I’m happy that both Eva and Hezekiah got their happy ending. Definitely a MUST read!!!!

Killing It So Softly, With His Love!!

This was totally a slam dunk from the beginning to the very end. The writer gets real life love right. This is a perfect imperfect. couple trying to navigate life and love. There are so so many layers to this story and you can and will identify with a lot of them. I say take a seat and enjoy reading about what grown love look like and when you believe he will work it out.

Great sequel

As expected B. Love came back with another phenomenal love story. What I love about her stories is most are very realistic to what someone might be going through. Eva and Hezekiah love story is the complete opposite of traditional but very rewarding. It just goes to show that what one man won’t do another one will.

This book is a spin-off to B. Love's Strumming My Pain. It's is a love story with a splash of godly intervention in it. Hezekiah turned out to be everything I imagined and more. I loved the fact that Eva was a strong-minded female lead that did not irritate my soul. This was a really quick and enjoyable read, but I expected nothing less from the Ambassador of Black Love stories.

"Because, when Elise showed me your picture, I heard God say that’s her. That’s your wife."
Lord I can't wait for a man to feel this way about me! Even though Hezekiah knew from the moment he saw that Eva was his wife, he didn't rush her or the process. He was patient and took his time with her until she was ready. The way Hezekiah loved Eva and her son was so beautiful. Great story!!

Just like it’s spin-off this book didn’t hesitate to draw me in from the very beginning. It didn’t disappoint! I love how he manifested their relationship by calling her his wife from the gate! He knew what he wanted and didn’t settle for anything less. All while being patient and understanding of her wants and needs along with his own! Outstanding

So good

I love me some Ki. He was so manly but lovable. He knew who his wife was and claimed it from day one. Eva was a great mom and scared to take a chance. They finally connected and love blossomed from there. I could feel the love oozing off the pages. Her writing just gets better and better
