I'm the author of over 50 books for children plus an historical novella for adults.

A lost Indian treasure, an old man on his deathbed, and the prisoners who seek revenge against him. Only Holmes and Watson can unravel the history of the treasure and track down the clever murderers who will do anything to steal the treasure of the Rajah.
I especially like this mystery, because Watson falls in love in a sweet and subtle little romance.

This Sherlock Holmes mystery is retold and simplified for children ages 7-13. The story follows exactly the same story line as the original book by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, with much of the same dialogue and narration. Holmes and Watson are the same beloved characters that we know, and the mystery is just as suspenseful and thrilling as the original.

I loved how the writing style is simple, but is still vivid and energetic! The text is large, and there are a few definition boxes that explain terms or historical items that may be unfamiliar.

I loved the black and white illustrations that pop up every few pages. The cartoony style of the drawings is just right for this type of children's retelling, and gives an added flair to the story. The artwork is sometimes humorous and fun, making the story a little more lighthearted for young people.

I can't wait to revisit more Holmes stories in this children's series! This is an excellent way to introduce classics to elementary and middle grade readers!

This book is a fascinating mystery about stolen treasure. An exciting part of the book is about a boat chase. Sherlock Holmes and the Baker Street Irregulars search for the steam launch, the Aurora holding the criminals, and the stolen treasure. Sherlock Holmes, Dr. Watson, a man at the rudder and another to tend the engines, and two police inspectors use a police boat to search for the Aurora. Soon, Holmes sees a handkerchief waving, a signal from one of the Baker Street Irregulars that he has seen the Aurora. After chasing the Aurora, they do catch the criminals, but where is the treasure?

Slično kao i u slučaju prvotne knjige iz kolekcije naziva "Grimizna istraga", ovdje se radi o uspješnoj prilagodbi romana A. C. Doylea "The Sign of the Four" dječjem uzrastu. Sve što krasi prvijenac i čini ga privlačnim (laka čitljivost, vesele crtić ilustracije, tumači zastarjelih pojmova) ponavlja se i u ovoj novoj pustolovini Sherlocka Holmesa i dr. Watsona.
Knjiga "Znak četvorice" Stephanie Baudet tekstom i grafičkom opremom definitivno zaslužuje pet zvjezdica u klasi knjiga za uzrast od 5. do 8. razreda osnovne škole.

Ďalší diel Sherlockových príbehov prepísaných pre deti. Rokmi zabudnutý prípad, ktorý sa dostáva na svetlo. Tajné dohody, zrady, tajomstvá i poklady.
Vo výbornom preklade a v krásnom spracovaní pre všetky deti, ktoré len tak niečo nevyľaká.
