Deccy and Mac want to disappear. Cookie wants his Mum. Terry and Jean are running away together. Rory is just running. Then it happens. White dust is falling. London is sinking, and it is too late for regrets. All they can do is wait.
Usually my favorite thing about reading plays is imagining the staging, which felt…impossible with this script? Seems like it would either be a practical nightmare or require a lot of imagination on the audience’s part. And breaking the fourth wall felt completely unnecessary, like a crutch. A juicy revelation or plot development of really any kind could have saved it, but even that…nothin. 2 stars for the sheer pleasure of reading a play!
