A very entertaining book by Opaline Marx. The story combines the homey adventures of a large, self-satisfied family clan with the discovery that things aren't as ordinary as they seem. Told in the first person by hero Marty. It's fun to see is constant shock whenever he opens another "can of worms" related to the Morrisons. The adventure story parallels his own realization of hidden, painful personal secrets that he's kept from his family.
If you like stories where the notion of "family" is validated after trial, this one is for you!
