Former FBI Agent Jordan Rashid has been tasked with infiltrating a terrorist cell located in Washington, DC. But when he receives an email link with a video of a young girl being held captive by kidnappers, his mission becomes very personal-the eleven-year-old Bryn is the daughter he didn't know he had.
Diana Phillips is horrified to discover her daughter has been kidnapped and is frantic to find her. And she doesn't understand why she is being directed to her former fianc Jordan Rashid for help. Clearly her witness protection cover has been blown, and worse, her cousin Tariq is likely the mastermind behind Bryn's kidnapping. In the midst of a serious terrorist threat, Diana and Jordan must find a way to put their rocky past aside and work together to rescue Bryn. Can they save hundreds of innocent lives in time to become a family, once again?
This was a very exciting and relevant book. The whole book took place over only a couple days but so much happened and it highlights the point of view of quite a few people. A girl is kidnapped. Jordan has no idea that it's his daughter - he didn't even know he had one! Diana is in the witness protection program and she never shared with him that they had a daughter but now that she's been kidnapped by terrorists, they have to work together to get her back. You really get the inner workings of a terrorist cell and what they are capable cell. There is also betrayals of government workers and different levels and great intensity when plans are thwarted! Many times I was holding my breath as the action unfolded! A really good story with a lot of action, great characters, and great intensity!
Target for Ransom has Security Specialist Jordan Rashid reunited with Diana, the mother of her kidnapped daughter...who is also Jordan's daughter, only he never knew about her until this moment brought them together. With the clock ticking away the hours, minutes, & seconds leading to a massive 9-11 style terrorist attack, there is no place where one can put the book down & breathe. Excellent action and suspence. On to book 3 to discover what is in store for Sun, the South Korean linguist hired by Jordan & Sloan.
I loved the countdown at the beginning of the sections. Once the team figured out day and aprox time of terrorist event. It made for a very suspenseful story. Some of the characters in the beginning turned out not to be who you might think. Loved this 2nd book and onto the next.
This one kept me reading. The action started at the beginning and continued til the very end. The author wove the lives of the characters skillfully into the story while keeping the reader on edge, waiting for the next scene. Very well done.
This book was a little slow in the beginning(I was probably a little impatient), but ended up being an awesome read. Great characters and a solid storyline kept me going. I really recommend this book. Now for book three...
This is fast-paced and loaded with so many twists and turns that it presents quite a challenge for any reader wanting to figure out what's going on before the author reveals all.
