A decent and fast-paced read, but one that sticks closely to the familiar formula of romantic suspense. The premise is certainly high-stakes, a security expert discovering a daughter he never knew was in danger, and provides a solid foundation for action.

Fast paced, terrifyingly dangerous and chilling...
Jordan is stunned when the future thought he had lost, twice, is dropped in his lap. He just has to find Bryn and keep her and Diana alive whilst taking out the terrorist cell with plans to blow up DC!
We met Jordan in book 1, but here we get a more driven and determined Jordan who will stop at nothing to save Bryn...even before he knows exactly who she is. The race against the clock to find her is heartwrenching, frustrating and terrifying at the same time, but seeing them meet for the first time and the instant bond they form, makes it worth it. I love that Jordan and Diana get a second chance, they both never stopped loving each other, even when he thought she had betrayed their love and died as a result...he still loved her. So them finally getting their chance after 12 years is awesome,
It's Sun's book next, which promises to be another twisted and politically hot case. I listened to this on Audible.

This was a very exciting and relevant book. The whole book took place over only a couple days but so much happened and it highlights the point of view of quite a few people. A girl is kidnapped. Jordan has no idea that it's his daughter - he didn't even know he had one! Diana is in the witness protection program and she never shared with him that they had a daughter but now that she's been kidnapped by terrorists, they have to work together to get her back. You really get the inner workings of a terrorist cell and what they are capable cell. There is also betrayals of government workers and different levels and great intensity when plans are thwarted! Many times I was holding my breath as the action unfolded! A really good story with a lot of action, great characters, and great intensity!

On to book 3 to discover what is in store for Sun, the South Korean linguist hired by Jordan & Sloan.

fast paced and with a countdown
I loved the countdown at the beginning of the sections. Once the team figured out day and aprox time of terrorist event. It made for a very suspenseful story. Some of the characters in the beginning turned out not to be who you might think. Loved this 2nd book and onto the next.

Non-stop Action
This one kept me reading. The action started at the beginning and continued til the very end. The author wove the lives of the characters skillfully into the story while keeping the reader on edge, waiting for the next scene. Very well done.

Great Read
This book was a little slow in the beginning(I was probably a little impatient), but ended up being an awesome read. Great characters and a solid storyline kept me going. I really recommend this book. Now for book three...

This is fast-paced and loaded with so many twists and turns that it presents quite a challenge for any reader wanting to figure out what's going on before the author reveals all.
