I've had it with Brad. If bad relationship after bad relationship has taught me anything, it's how to recognize when I'm not happy. It's time to move on!
I feel better with that decided, but I can't give him a chance to convince me otherwise. That's why I have no intention of telling him before he leaves or giving him a chance to convince me to relocate for his new job with him. No way. Not. Happening.
Staying in my car at Yosemite overnight seems like an ideal plan. Until the strange, teal light illuminates my car, and I wake up in a cage with three other people. Everything outside the window is pink and red on the planet, and I don't feel very well ...
Mavin
I'm assigned to this boring planet after a mishap with early reporting, but it doesn't have to be all by the book—all the time. I'll never get out of here to discover new things if I don't follow my gut and take some chances. It's not like my superiors can ground me anywhere worse.
With that in mind, I'll check the feeding stations on Teleplay exactly where I want. I can't explain why I feel as though I'm being pulled to this building ... as if there's something demanding my attention and waiting to be discovered.
When I stumble across some contraband species, my premonition makes more sense. But what isn't as clear, is why despite the Wen virus racing through their bodies, the female of the species calls to me on a primal level I don't understand ... and she can see me.
After reporting them, can I leave her here to die if there's even the remotest possibility she could be my mate?

I love to write about the same genre I love to read... Science Fiction and Romance go hand in hand in my mind! Right now, I can’t imagine writing anything else. From earth to the stars, I’m always thinking about what if… Now I'm writing full time... Spinning tales from my back porch to you.
I needed a quick little read and this was it, my last book of the year. I was expecting a tiny bit more from it though, because the world building wasn't explained well, it was all kind of jumpy and I didn't care much about the characters.
SINTH SAVIOR - or is it Saviour? The cover says one thing but the story is listed as 'Savior' on Amazon. See more on this issue below - is the second of Pearl Tate's stories that I've listened to. And whereas I liked the first one this one wasn't as good in my opinion. The story itself wasn't half bad and does well as a prequel. If I had read it I would have given it a 3.5 or maybe even a 4. It's an insta-lust/love story and the Sinth race seems rather intersting. I would like to learn more about them. The narration however kinda ruined the reading/listening experience for me. To say that I didn't like the narration is a bit of an understatement. Neither narrator gave a good performance although the male did slightly better than the female. They both need to work on their pacing and acting and well, just about everything else too. I appreciated the effort that the male narrator put into his performance. At times he was even able to pull me into the story. The female narrator is another case altogether. She's the author and I suggest she stick to writing. She's much better at it.
*Continuity Complaint: The female main character, Amy, is taken from Yosemite National Park. That's in the U.S. Going by that and the fact that the narrator uses an American accent I think it's safe to say that Amy is American. So why does the story have British English in it?

I love the Quasar Lineage series so I immediately grabbed this free book to read. While it is definitely different than the Quasar Lineage series, it peaked my interest to want to read more from this new series. Even though it is short (it's a prequel) is was intriguing enough to make me want to read more about this different dimension!
Really good free book. A good introduction to the series. This can be read as a standalone but leaves questions which are answered in later books. FYI you do have to read the series in order. Also each book leaves unanswered questions both about the main story arc and the couple
I got this prequel from the authors newsletter. I liked it very much. I’ve already read the next two books and I’m waiting for the third. I’m giving it a 5 star because it’s different and peaked my interest enough to continue reading the series.
I read this prequel before I read the series and am glad I did. It helped to explain what was happening in this world. I qould have been confused about somethings in book one if I hadn't. It is a free book so everyone should read it right before you start the series.

Short and S*xy! Of course the prequel ends with a lead in to a new adventure. I had a bit of trouble trying to imagine how Mavin changes from one dimension to another.
Sinth Saviour is a short prequel to the Sinth Strain series by Pearl Tate. This is in the same universe as the Quasar Lineage series by the same author. The books revolve around an alien species known as the Sinth, who can shift into different dimensions, and the mates the find in humans. Like the Quasar Lineage series, the Sinth haven't mated in so long that they almost don't recognize the signs, so we get to learn along with them when it happens.
Amy is a human taken from Earth who ends up in a cage with a few human men, clearly on another planet. They are sick and don't know how they got there or why they are there. Mavin is a Sinth patrolling his zone when he feels pulled to a certain area of this planet where he finds Amy in the cage. All the humans have what is known as the Wen virus, for which there is no known cure, and makes humans have zombie-like attributes. When Mavin realizes that Amy can see him when he is in his personal dimension, he realizes that she could be his fated mate and takes her. The story is about their mating and introduces us to not only the Sinth, but also the Wen virus.
This was a short book, so didn't have as much character development as I normally prefer. Because it is about fated mates, there is also insta-lust, and this is definitely for mature audiences. There is not as much story development due to its length and it could have been turned into a full-length book, but as it is meant to be a short prequel, I'm letting that pass. I think it was a good preview to what I hope is a great new series.
The narration is performed by the author Pearl Tate and Rodney Steele, so the female and male lines are performed by different narrators. I usually prefer this method, especially when the narrator is female. I think Pearl Tate did a pretty good job, but I think Rodney Steele's performance was a little stiff. I have definitely heard worse though, so they did a pretty good job.
I recommend reading/listening to Sinth Saviour, as long as you take it for what it is - a short prequel introducing you to a new series.
Received an ARC thorough Author's Direct for an honest review.
This story was a little better than book 1 though it was still slow and there wasn't really any real conversation between characters. No real explanation of what a Sinth was and where they come from.
There were parts of the story that I felt were missing where it felt like a C rated movie where it literally fades to black and cuts to another scene with no real explanation of what happened in between.
I enjoy a book that adds humor to the story and this had a little bit of that and that is a plus in my opinion but since the story was so short, there wasn't a lot. The relationship and romance developed really quickly without them really having a true conversation so that was a little weird but hey.. whatever floats your boat.
The audio part leaves something to the imagination. The narrators were very monotoned and bland. The reading was extremely slow, choppy and robotic. I actually sped up the audio and it was still really slow.
There were a few times were words were mispronounced and I gets if you're not a stickler for that sort of thing it's okay. For me, it just kind grated on my nerves. They weren't even words that are considered the potato/po-tah-to type of situaiton either.
at track 9/Chapter 6 (3:00) male narrator says "ah-tre-butes" instead of "at-tri-butes" when referring to sinth characteristics.
track 6/chapter 3 (13:52-54) female narrator says "disorienated", which is not even a word, when referring how she physically is feeling.
Once again; I have to say that it is really annoying to have to hear the name of the book at the beginning of every chapter. Readers don't want to hear that every time. I don't think we'll forget the name of the book we are reading.
All in all.. this book was ok. I give it 3 stars just for the comedy part, but I honestly didn't like anything more. I doubt I will return to this author, especially in audio form.
I actually listened to the first book in the series before I listened to the prequel. I wasn't so sure about the narration from the first book, but this prequel was great! I really like this story, which make me happy to listen to the rest of the series. The storyline overall is very good. I enjoyed the book, the characters are well written and well developed. The humans are taken originally as a food source for aliens but Marvin and Amy fall for each other and the romance slowly develops in the story. I am interested in learning about what happens to the other people taken from Earth with Amy. Similar to the first book in the series, the ending of the prequel is rather sudden and abrupt, but other than that it was a great entertaining read. I think the stories are ending abruptly in order to get you to continue reading the rest of the series but I think the stories could actually be more flushed out at the ending. Overall though, its a great series and I will definitely be listening to the rest!

I enjoyed reading this book.
I liked the idea of being able to shift in dimensions that is something new to me from other alien human books I have read. I liked that she could see him and go with him into his own personal dimension. I think we would all like to have our own dimension to disappear to every now and again.
I would have liked to have found out who kidnapped the humans and how they got to the planet. Some background information on where the other humans came from and what happened to them would have been good. did they all survive the wen virus and did the go home etc.
These kind of book usually end with the human staying with the alien but this one they were going back to earth. how the alien would go on earth I don't know would he have to always be invisible would his mate look like a crazy person talking to her self?
This was a very interesting alien romance book. I was given the opportunity to listen to this audiobook for free and give a honest review. I loved the storyline. The writing was good. The characters were developed and there was some background given on them. The alien planet was explained and the images that my mind was allowed to create was great. The only reason I did not give a 5 star rating was due to the narration. I loved the voices but I wish the tone of the narrators would’ve been more on par with the events that were being read. This was not a major flaw of the audiobook and it’s story and wonderful writing. I loved how the two characters were so perfect for one another and the fact they allowed the unusual instantaneous attraction to be explored and not hindered. This was a wonderful HEA. I would definitely recommend this book and I would listen to this audiobook again.
A new prequel to a new series. This was a good story and gives you the introduction to Mavin, a Sinth guardian. Amy gets taken from Earth and ends up in a cage with three other human men. Mavin is at the same planet from his dimension and feels a pull to a certain area of the buildings. There he sees three human men and a human woman. They are starting to get the Wen virus. Amy wakes and can see Mavin and he can't believe that. No one but their fated mates can see them. He takes her with him and the story develops into a romance and a mating between Mavin and Amy. Will taking her back to Earth help his species find their mates? I received a copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I enjoyed the book, the characters are well written and well developed. Marvin and Amy have great chemistry and are instantly drawn to each other. The story flows smoothly for the most part but does leaves some questions, I would have like to know what happened to male humans that were with Amy, one can guess but it would have been nice to know for sure. As I have not read any of the other books in the series, I would have like to know why Amy and the other humans were kidnapped. The ending is rather sudden and abrupt, I actually read it a few times because I thought I missed something , but other than that it was a great entertaining read.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This was an interesting start to a series. Aliens who can phase in and out of dimensions and humans abducted from Earth. Amy is ill and Mavin is not sure what to do but he is sure she is his mate. They come together and she wants to go back to Earth. Mavin sees no reason not to go back and takes leave to go with her. She is the only one he knows who has survived the Wen virus and can see him when he is phased to his dimension. I enjoyed the fact that the author narrated her own book. She also used a male for Mavin while she did the part of Amy. The only thing I found annoying was they gave the title of the book during each chapter transition, instead of just saying Chapter 2 Amy.
I received a free copy of this audio book from Story Origin for an honest review.
I love me a good alien romance from time to time, but this one was just ok. I don't think that I will be continuing with the series. The world-building for this series prequel is complex and confusing, making it hard to follow along and visualize what is going on. I do find the MMC's alien species intriguing and there's lots of potential there, but the story could use some polishing.
As for the narration, it did not do this story any favors, unfortunately. It also gets a 3 star rating. The biggest problem for me was the male narrator, he gave virtually no emotion and made the steamy scene feel very awkward.
This is a prequel for a series in which an alien male encounters what he believes to be his destiny in a human. The characters are well developed and comedy is infused into the storyline to add levity to the scenes. Although the story was good, because it was a prequel it kind of ended on a cliffhanger that left me wondering what was next.
I like the way that the female was portrayed in the audio version by the author. However, the presenter for the mail aspect of the storyline was sometimes difficult to listen to. As he was reading, there would be a break in the flow of a sentences every three or four words. This made the book not only longer but also came across as unsure of what he was going to say.
Such a short story but extremely well written. It explains the nature of the Sinth aliens n their ability to hover in two dimensions. Only someone who's their fated mate can detect their presence while "cloaked", so to speak. Not even another one of their species can invade or detect them in their own dimension without being invited. So Mavin is surprised while on a routine mission to be drawn to a holding pen n finding humans from Earth, infected with the Wen virus. One person in particular has attracted his attention, a human female. What's more, she can see n interact with him while he's in his "cloaked state". Something only one destined to be his mate has the ability to do. I loved the interaction between Mavin n Amy. Such a charming story.
I really enjoyed this intro to a new Sinth series. It set us up on a strange world, with an incurable 'virus' and different aliens with diverse characteristics (and some very 'ewww' side effects..). I enjoyed Amy trying to make good choices in bad situation after bad situation and really just grabbing onto to the good things, like Mavon ;P, while she could. It will be interesting to see whether there is political corruption in the Ashen's protection, or whether there's a ring of bad guys that need to be taken down. Regardless of this over arcing plot, the story had drama, angst and heat, and that made it a page turner for me. Now to see what comes next ;)
Great Prequel!! I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this awesome background story in the Sinth Strain Series. If you’ve listened to or read the other books in this exciting series, you must listen to this book as it explains what led to the Sinth discovering that humans could be compatible mates and what led to the Sinth Guardian team to be assigned to Earth to discover who was kidnapping humans from Earth to be sold as fodder for aliens on another planet. Narrators Pearl Tate and Rodney Steele do an excellent job in bringing this story to life!! I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
This story does everything you hope for in a good prequel. It establishes the Universe, in a very real sense, both placing Earth and humans in it, as well as the Sinth, but it also introduces us to a species, and a disease, we want to avoid at all costs.
Amy and Mavin meet... thanks to a mix of bad fortune and good instincts. Their story is clearly the beginning of an adventure, for them, and for others.
This is a solid done in one quick read that left me with a satisfying conclusion for these characters, while still looking forward to future stories... no cliffhanger, but it is clear it is marked as a prequel for a reason.
Amy is abducted from earth and wakes up in a cell. It turns out that she was abducted by aliens and brought to another planet. An alluring alien finds and rescues her. The heat ensues from there.
If you are looking for a short, light read with an alien romance twist this is the book for you.
There were some weird pronunciations of words by the narrators. But that only happened a handful of times. It was a bit confusing though as the author is one of the narrators.
The author also makes some odd word choices like 'disorientated'. Yes, it is a word, but not one that most modern Americans use.
AUDIOBOOK review The story itself didn’t quite hit the mark for me. It’s really short and jumps straight into the steamy scenes without much setup or background. There’s a lot of repetition too, with both characters retelling the same events from their perspectives. It made the plot feel a bit slow and boring at times.
That said, the narration was great! Pearl Tate and Rodney Steele did an amazing job and kept me engaged even when the story dragged. I’d give the book 3 stars, but their performance bumped it up to 4.
Would I recommend it? Maybe, if you’re into the series or want a quick listen. For the narration alone, it’s worth a try!
This is the add-on prequel to the Sinth Strain series. We are introduced to the first alien that finds a human mate. This is a setup for the first book of the series. It sets the scene and does the first of the world building. It could be turned into a full length story--there was enough of a story to make it entertaining but it was designed as an intro. I thought the ending came too soon but that generally happens to me when I'm enjoying something. You should read the books in the series in order but this can go anywhere in the series without upsetting the flow.
This is where it all started. The Wen virus brought by aliens make humans into cannibalistic human zombies. Mavin from the Sinth Sovereignty Is a guardian. He finds his mate cages, infected and dying. A cure. A cure needs to be found to save his mate. Going against the rules for his mate is obviously the right move. Villains, back stabbish behaviors will take his make to her death. Whoa! This is the beginning. Where’s the dang cure?!!
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
A short, out of this world romance. Fast paced with some details left out but still an overall good read / listen. The dual narration I liked but both narrators where choppy in the delivery, and I could understand if it was when alien dialogue could be misunderstood but it was like that through out. The storyline was good but left me with questions and wanting more, which I guess is a good thing.
This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review. *this review is based on the audio version of this read
I could not really get into this story because the audiobook narration was so bland. It was like a robots voice and made the characters and the story stale. I am not sure if the narration killed the story or if the story was so bad that the narrator had no clue how to bring it to life. I just finished another story written by this same author so I am inclined to blame the narrator since her other book are well written. Sorry but I had to DNF due to the narration killing it for me. But I do recommend the other books written by the author in audio.
This is the first book on the series and I loved the author approach of Sinth having their own dimension and about fated mates . Mavel is all male and his mission is look out the planet that already has an infestation of a deadly virus, the planet is condemned. Until he has a feeling something is wrong and he finds humans in cages and his fated mate is one of them. Loved how the story develops and ends on a happily for now. Can’t wait to see what happens next. This is a voluntary review of an ARC copy.
