She’s tired. He wants more from life. They’re both desperate for a change. Henry Hawthorne lll is used to having the privileges that come with having the Hawthorne name, including being the pediatrician to the rich and famous. But with it comes a certain lifestyle he no longer wants. Now he wants more than dating models and socialites. He wants a family. Chloe is in town visiting her sister. She’ll have to leave soon, as she has a secret that she’s keeping to herself. But in keeping it she may be destroying her chance at love and happiness. Does she dare share her secret and ask for help, or does she run and hide? Can they trust each other enough to come together or will her secret be the end of them?
If you have ever dreamed of being a part of a large family (4 boys and one girl), traveling extensively (in helicopters and private planes), being able to make a huge, life changing sacrifice for your relative, or having money to spend on something frivolous or giving to help others, you are going to get such a kick out of this book. Farrah Lee has created a large family who has made their fortunes through hard work in medicine, architecture, and hotels and are completely dedicated to helping others. They are funny, fun-loving, and outrageous in some of their antics – picture an adult Easter Egg Hunt where participants army-crawl under bushes and sneak around to win bragging rights for the year. When Trey Hawthorne told his mom, Victoria, that he was ready to settle down and marry, he also told her he wanted her to find his bride, like she had for two of his brothers and a cousin. His lifestyle left a lot to be desired and he was ready to commit. But first, he had to wear a rabbit suit for his mother and the little girl who was visiting. Into this picture walks Chloe and her daughter, Sophie, who recently arrived from Australia. Trey is totally gob-smocked, unable to speak when he directs his large glass eyes their direction. Are you getting the picture? Farrah’s ability to write enables you to fully picture this family and their antics. She creates lovable characters to admire and root for and who keep you reading into the night. The author gave me this book and I am willingly writing this review because I hope others will enjoy this clean, fun-filled story. Great work, Farrah Lee!
Victoria Hawthorne is at it again! Now her oldest son Trey wants her to find him a mail order bride. He is a successful pediatrician (from a rich privileged influential family)and is tired of the same women wanting him for their social status. He has done the socialite and models scene for far too long all he wants is to settle down and have a family like his brother Parker. Mia who is married to Parker sister Chloe has come to visit from Australia with her sweet six year old daughter Sophie who is recovering from heart surgery. There is an instant connection between Trey and Chloe which confuses him because he has already told his mother to get him a mail order bride. They both have feelings for each other but neither one willing to admit because she is returning to Australia. As Victoria begins bringing more folders for him to look at for potential brides he begins to have second thoughts but is encouraged to continue. When all else fails Victoria has a way to make things go just the way she needs them to. I fell in love with the sweet rambunctious Sophie and how we got to see the characters from the previous books. I must say I would of loved an epilogue since it ended kind of abruptly. If you are looking for an sweet, funny, innocent romance this book is for you. I received an ARC from the author for my honest review. 4.5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Chloe has had a rough year or two. With her daughter Sophie having to have a heart valve surgery. She hasn't had any time to date or do anything for herself. Now that Sophie is doing better they can come visit her sister Mia in the US. Mia's new husband Parker is a heart doctor and the inventor of the heart valve Sophie has. While in the US they both get to meet the whole Hawthorne clan. Trey Parker's older brother just talked their mother Victoria in to getting him a mail order bride just like Parker, Kellan and August. He tells Victoria he wants his own Mia. Imagine his surprise when Chloe and Sophie arrived with Mia at Easter at Hawthorne manor. Sophie melts everyones heart. Then Sophie falls ill and everyone rallies around her. With her Uncle Parker and Top Boston pedestrian Dr Trey Hawthorne Sophie couldn't be in better hands. After getting Sophie better and spending more time with Trey Chloe can't help falling in love with Trey. But he is set to marry his mail order bride. Will he finally admit to falling in love with Chloe? Chloe can't stay because of her ex's threats and she can't watch Trey marry another woman. Grab this read it is well worth it. Great characters and great HEA.
I was so anxious for this installment in the Hawthorne Series. Mail order Surprise by Farrah Lee did not disappoint either. In this installment Chloe, with her daughter Sophie, comes to visit her sister, Mia who married into the Hawthorne clan as a mail order bride. The family is happy to have a little kid around and the matriarch of the family gets to play grandma while she searches for her son Trey's new bride. During the visit from Australia to Manhattan both Sophie and Chloe fall ill and Dr. Trey Hawthorne comes to the rescue. While ill Chloe's past catches up to her and Trey bends over backwards to help her and her daughter stay in the USA. BUT Chloe can not see Trey marry his new mail order bride. Who is the newest Bride to marry into the Billionaire linage? If you hate a lot of dialogue then Farrah Lee's novels are not for you. But if you love genuine interactions among family members, relationships that grown through stolen moments alone, then you will love this series. Such a treat to read. AND yes there is always a lot of Aussie slang but once again there is a glossary of terms in the back of the novel and a preview of the next novel in the series.
Chloe is visiting her sister Mia from Mail Order Mistletoe over Easter and Mother's Day when her daughter who had a heart valve replacement in that book ends up in the hospital. Six year old Sophie was adorable with her enthusiasm and imagination even when she wasn't feeling well. Trey feels an instant attraction to Chloe, but he asked him mom to get him a mail-order bride and Chloe is going back to Australia in a few weeks. Trey was wonderful as pediatrician with a sweet and funny bedside manner, so caring about his patients and their parents. I was frustrated that Chloe was determined to leave her sister and go back to Australia with no job and without talking about her problems. There is a lot of back and forth dialogue among the characters which can be hard to follow at times. The Aussie slang was also hard to keep up with, but the glossary in the back helped. The Hawthornes have some silly Easter rituals with decorating eggs with strange things and adults running around the yard tricking each other to find the most eggs.
I enjoyed the overall story of Trey and Chloe and it was nice to see other how characters from the series were. This is a standalone but shares characters from the series. Trey and Chloe had an attraction from the beginning but neither was willing to act on it. Both characters were likeable and I loved the banter between family members. I did struggle with the relationship between Chloe and Trey as I didn't really feel the love building between them despiteall the time they spent together. I really struggled with the timeline, there was nothing to mark the days or how much time had passed, sometimes time jumped from one paragraph to another. I also felt that the ending was really rushed, a huge amount of info was revealed and then it just seemed to end without explaining how it was sorted out. I would have liked some kind of epilogue as the story just seemed to stop.
This book is one of the reasons I love series. You continue to read about other people in the first book on down to whatever book you've just finished. This love story is between Trey, Chloe and her daughter, Sophie. Chloe's sister is married to Trey's brother, this story is about them visiting her in NYC. Sophie has had heart surgery to replace a valve. While in NYC they did some amazing things with Trey and his family. Sophie got sick and hospitalized for a while. Then Chloe got sick. Trey had earlier in the book asked his mother to get him a mail order bride like Mia (Chloe's sister). Read how much fun they all have, how they fight their attraction and what Sophie's father tries to pull. It's such a good book. I'm off to the next one in the series. Hope you enjoy it as much as I have. Written by Cindy :)
What a fantastic read, Mail Order Surprise. This series gets better with each book. Trey is finally ready to settle down and he asks his mother to find him a Mia. Mia is his brother's mail order bride. His mom, Victoria has already picked his brother, Parker and his cousin, Kellan brides, and he wants one now too. Chloe is in New York to visit with her sister, Mia and meets the rest of the Hawthorne family, including Trey. Oh boy this is hard. She has to go back to Australia, because of her ex, but Trey is the one. Why does everything have to be so hard for her. You will cry and laugh with this book. I was given a copy of the book by the author for an honest review.
I have to say say this is my fav story out of this series , I love the Hawthorne family ,though they have money, they are kind and generous, funny and you can tell the love they have for each other .Trey is finally ready to settle down , he wants his own personal mail order bride but just as that gets set in motion Chloe (who we meet in book one) comes to visit her sister Mia , Sophie (Chloe's daughter)wins over the hearts of the whole family , Trey and Chole's story is truly the best , I would recommend this one and the whole series to everyone who loves romances!
I love it! The beginning of the book is so funny. Trey going to his mom to ask for his own wife. I just love it. I was excited to see that Chloe and Sophie were in this book and that the author connects her books together. It just shows me that she put a lot of thought and effort into this book series. I really enjoyed the character of Trey and Chloe and I really like the Easter Bunny costume and the creepy eyes. Once again I could not stop reading the book, and I am excited to get started on the next book in the series. I would definitely recommend this book!
The Hawthorne men may be ultra rich, handsome, and smart but my favorite family member is Mama. Trey failed to remember an old saying, be careful what you wish for. He asked, no begged, his mother for a mail order bride. He’s actually lucky she didn’t like his former girlfriend or he might have been stuck with Victoria. My second favorite character is Sophia. She will steal right into your heart. Oh, I look forward to finding out what Mama has in store for Sawyer. He won’t see it coming.
I really enjoyed this story. I have really enjoyed the previous books in this series, but I loved this one even more. I loved the attachment developed between the supporting characters and Trey. And I just love the relationships between the siblings! It just makes the story even better knowing how close they are. And I love how much fun they have together! I can’t wait to read the next one in the series!
Such a fun story. Trey was ready to settle down. His mom had successfully gotten mail order brides for other family members so why not for him? Chloe’s sister was one of the brides. Chloe and her daughter are visiting from Australia. Chloe and Trey find themselves being drawn together. What happens when Chloe’s ex decides to make trouble? Can they overcome the obstacles to find their happily ever after?
We’ve met Choe and her daughter Sophie in previous stories. Chloe needs a break after a difficult time so she is visiting her sister’s new family. When meeting the family and specially Trey life becomes more fun. But her difficulties are not over jet and Trey is not destined for her. Will they still get a chance on happiness? This is such a fun story, you have to love this family with their humor and love and care for each other.
It took a little while to connect all the Hawthorns since it had been a while since reading the last book. I was glad to read the father into the story a little more. There was suspense, emotional connection with Sophie, and finally the end you hoped for at the last minute. Would recommend this book.
They all laugh a lot, and it is cute for a while, then it gets tiring with the characters laughing at the same situation. The basic storyline is good, though. The slang - without an explanation of the meaning - was confusing. Also, it seems as though no one ever proofread it, because time after time the scene changed in the same paragraph.
I enjoyed reading this book. I liked that Chloe was a single mother. Through out the book you could see that her priority was her daughter. I think that made her character more relatable. It was great seeing Trey and Chloe interact.
I really enjoyed reading this book! The main man is a pediatric doctor. The main lady is the mother of a child with a new heart valve who is sick. The story has its very funny parts and very serious parts. I recommend this book to anyone who loves romantic stories!
This was a great book! Mia's sister comes to visit with her little girl who recently had heart surgery. Fortunately two of the brothers are doctors and one is single and ready to marry
Having spent years within Pediatric Wards, ICU, NICU, with pulmonary, cardiology, and oncology specialists, THE FEELS are Real. Excellent characters. I missed the beginning, so I get MORE! I'm going IN!
This was a good story surrounding a very wealthy family and mail order brides. I had a really hard time with the Australian slang, but other than that, I enjoyed it. This is a clean romance.
This book took me on an emotional roller coaster that made me race through barely putting it down. I want a Dr. Trey for myself please! Can't wait for the next one!
