Michael Flournoy spent three decades as an ardent follower of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, which is more commonly referred to as Mormonism. He served a mission in Anaheim California where he publicly debated Evangelical Christians. After returning home he published a book called, "A Biblical Defense of Mormonism" and continued to debate Christians online and in public. In 2015, he decided to study grace in an attempt to become a more effective weapon, and the truth he discovered shook his beliefs to the core.
A beautiful testimony of an ex-mormon. I enjoyed reading of the truths that the Spirit revealed to him in his journey as he was drawn into the Kingdom.
This was a short book that I read in one sitting. It’s almost 200 pages but it’s like quadruple spaced
Hallelujah, All I have is Christ. Hallelujah, Jesus is my life.
Reading Michael's testimony reminds me that His grace is sufficient for us. His story is unique and beautiful, and I will share it with all my Mormon friends.
I really enjoyed reading Michael's faith journey and learning how God led him to rely wholly on the Lord Jesus Christ. He shares dreams, experiences and relationships using reason, insight and humor. "If I could go back and tell myself anything, I'd simply say, "Buckle up, you're in for a bumpy ride. There's going to be heartbreak and sorrow, but God's in control, and everything turns out better than you can imagine." - page 9
What I like it was concise and to the point on his walk towards the gospel of Christ. Not anti Mormon on the contrary he wrote this with remorse and real emotion. For those who are in a faith transition you are not alone.
