After an engineering career and a stint in the Peace Corps, I obtained a PhD in psychology and had an academic career. My award-winning book for the public, The Science of Consequences, covers basic learning principles (like positive reinforcement), their important role in nature-nurture relations, and their many applications. The book earned coverage in top journal Nature and led to an international book tour.
