Fearless and reckless Emilia Schuyler just wanted to have her ex step-brother back in her life. While everyone else finds him intimidating because of his gloomy nature, she finds him the total opposite of scary and thinks him wonderful. Problem was, he wasn't cooperating and wants nothing to do with her. Or does he really? And why was she so hellbent on winning him back?
It was nice to learn why Rohan is the way he is. I did not like him at all in the first two books. So I went into this unsure if a good redemption arc was possible for him. And the expectation for me was that he stop hating Sofia. I was very happy when he overcame his - quite frankly, unfounded - issues with her. Now, on to Christopher's story.
