Luck – and a few well-placed IOUs – can take you a long way in the Florida Keys. In the case of a young woman that stumbles onto a remote beach road, practically in front of Madison Weston and her bestie, Fabiana Merceau, it saves her life. Fab and their guys, Creole and Didier, know Madison’s do-gooder heart can get her in trouble faster than a margarita blender. But when she encounters yet another young girl, this one just trying to survive the mean streets of Tarpon Cove, Madison’s determination to help could solve a crime… but draw the wrong kind of attention.Because when you mess with the wrong people, you could wind up as alligator kibble.
Deborah Brown is the author of the Paradise series, Crazy, Deception and Trouble Florida Keys mysteries, which makes the reader laugh, cry and cheer...
My personal ad would read:
There's nothing a new pair of shoes can't cure.
Redhead. Long legs. There's nothing like a strawberry-lemonade in summer. Favorite activity: Filling my pockets with seashells. An avid rule follower when eating Animal Cookies: Broken ones get eaten first, match up the rest, duplicates next, line them up favorite to not, least favorite go first. South Florida is my home, with my ungrateful rescue cats, and where Mother Nature takes out her bad attitude in the form of hurricanes.
The Paradise series is so good. I read all 22 books in a little over a week. Very addicting to find out what new hiking Madison and Fan and all of trashy assorted characters are up to next. Lots of romance mixed in with all the criminal activity that Madison and Fan try to put an end to. Can't wait for the next book!
Love this entire series. I do notice a couple of the older characters have disappeared. What happened to the nurse at the cottages? And the teen boy that Madisons mother helped raise?
I really have read ALL of the Florida keys mysteries , and trust me if you stay with an author thru 22 books in a series, well it has to be a Knock out series. This one is. I have enjoyed each and every one and am looking forward to the next one . ( Fabulous) characters, sort of tongue in cheek there as one of the lead stars is named Fab, she would tell you that she is the main character in this wonderful, not to be missed series. Kudos Ms Brown ,and thank you for many hours of great entertainment. Blessings and prayers, Cherokee 1642. A fan
Kidnapping Children This book is part of a series that would be best read in order. Each book is a complete mystery, but the backstory evolves with each episode. This book has so many things going on at once. It is more than a little exciting to see these 2 female Pis do their thing. The story is completed with their circle of family and friends who add another level of excitement. Although the author still hasn't figured out that 'rifle' and 'shotgun' are not synonymous, I have been enjoying binge-reading the series and will continue to do so.
Another Paradise winner for Deborah. I was happy there was more of Creole in this book - he kinda got lost after he and Madison got married (I missed their sexy interactions like when he was pursuing Madison) but this book included him quite a bit😊and especially liked the birthday/funeral party😉. As always lots of twists and turns and touchy situations for Madison & Fab - hope more books are forthcoming.
Fantastic book. Keeps you on the edge of your seat.
I really enjoyed reading this book. It was fun and exciting. The character's were very endearing and I loved them all. The author did a great job of making sure that you knew what was going on and was very thorough with the description of the situations that happened during the course of the story. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes a fantastic and exciting read.
I love, love, love these books, once I started one I couldn't put it down and once I finished it I had to read the next to see what excitement or adventure they had next. The characters are some real, some scary and some laugh out loud funny and the stuff they got up to was exciting from start to finish. I'd love to read more of her books but first of all need to catch up on all the housework that hasn't been done while I've been busy enjoying the series.
Well worth the wait and now am waiting with baited breath for book 23. Highly recommend this series. While reading, the world slips away and one is taken on vacation to Florida. The reader is caught up in one mystery and then another. These mysteries are intertwined. Characters are funny and down to earth with some just short of being improbable.
I love all of your books. They make me giggle and that makes me relax. Having read all of your books and have enjoyed them all , I always recommend them. I like that they are easy reading, funny, and about people you Care about. Thank you so much!
This is a fast paced mystery series taking place in the Florida Keys. The two main characters, Madison and Fab are private investigators with sassy attitudes. The action moves swiftly and is interlaced with a lot of humor. Almost no cursing and no torrid love scenes makes for a very enjoyable read. I highly recommend this series.
Naive in Paradise, like most the books before it, has a lot going on. Fast-paced action, lots of bullets, and lots of love. Highly recommend this book. Glad to shake off the funk of the last book. Love the direction the storylines are going. Looking forward to next in series.
I love this series that I get so excited when a new book gets released! It did not disappoint, well only at the end when I knew I would have to wait for the next book.😍
I want to be Fab and Madison’s friend and cohort in crime and live in a house in their compound! They have so much fun while helping people. Sure danger is always near by but these women can handle themselves! I hope there are more adventures to come!
I was so glad the series was not over. Loved the new characters and so glad all the old characters are still here. I am looking forward to hopefully another book in this series.
Madison and Fab are neck deep into trouble as usual. Between working for Gunz, finding kidnapped girls, and getting the new house ready you wouldn't think they could find more trouble, but of course they did.
Getting a bit monotonous. Find a wayward soul, help wayward soul, get into trouble for saving wayward soul, etc. How old are these ladies/girls? Reached my limit with this latest addition.
Really enjoyed this series hope there are more to come. Want to see how they are doing and a glimpse of to come. We use to live in Fort Lauderdale so know all the main towns and cities.
I’m so sad. I’ve been binging this series, and there’s no new book for me to read. These books have been great. Excellent characters who always keep you going, great setting , laughter, family, friends. These have become a favorite of mine. Hope Ms Brown continues this series forever!
Just finished this book, number 22 of the series, and have to say this was one of the BEST series I have ever read....just sad that it's the last (for now). Come on Ms. Brown.....need m-o-r-e Madison and Fab!!!!!!
I have read this series like binge watching a show on Netflix. By far the most entertaining series I've read since Janet Evanovich's Plum series the difference being that I tired of Plum and still haven't tired of this series.
I loved love the Paradise series. I’ve read up to #22 so far & im hoping Deborah Brown continues until forever. The friendship & commitment to each other is one to be envied. They get into hot water all the time but it’s nothing they can’t handle. Madison is especially good to the underdogs she meets on the way while Fab is also good while trying to remain the badass that she is. Read the first book & you’ll be hook too. Please, please keep them coming cause I’ll be there for the ride. Thanks Deborah!
Love all the action with some tender sweet romantic moments as well. This is my second time reading this series and each time I read them the funnier they are!
Each time I think I’ve read my favorite, I read the next and it’s my favorite. Ms. Brown is a truly gifted author. She keeps one thoroughly entertained. I’m eagerly looking forward to book 23.
