Suds and Sam #6

Suds and Sam on the Lam

Not my fault, she says. I was just takin’ a few photos, she says. Now, we’re on the run and there’s a price tag of a cool half-mill’ on her pretty, little head.

God help me. After our last fiasco, we agreed. From now on, we’re only investigating divorce cases, missing pets, and petty shit where no one gets murdered, shot, or thrown in jail.

That’s the reason we invested in a new telephoto lens and why she was taking pictures, willy-nilly, in front of a drug dealer's place of business.

If that wasn’t bad enough, while waiting for our client’s cheater to zip up his pants, she hears a shot. Now, anyone else with half a brain would’ve run for the hills. Oh no, not my Sam. She follows the sound, calls nine-one-one, and while she’s waiting, takes crime scene photos.

Whatever she saw is about to get us killed.

Amazon Best Seller Stella Marie Alden loves Zumba, yoga, watercolor painting, and all genres of romances.

Her first book, ‘How to Train Your Knight’, won Romance Writers of America coveted Molly and Show me the Sparks Contests, and placed in four others.
Truly remarkable, considering she’s only been writing for three years.

Growing up in Vermont, she loved to make up stories. Crayons fought each other over size and placement in their cardboard box and imaginary friends crowded the house. Her brother often complained. “Tell her no one’s here, Mother.".

Her career paths have varied. She’s been a librarian, a classical clarinetist wanna-be, recording studio engineer, broadcast electronics repairman, and now she architects software programs.

She lives in Bergen County, NJ with her life-long hero and their two cats. Her two girls are grown but ever supportive. You go Mom!

Wow! This is an excellent addition to Ms. Alden's outrageously funny and entertaining Suds and Sam series. "Suds and Sam on the Lam" is a well-written, fast paced, steamy, romantic detective novel. It has an intriguing case and a happily ever after ending. Suds and Sam have wonderful chemistry! Sam's quirky family are cause for much laughter. This novel is great as a stand alone, but better enjoyed when read in order, as there are references to characters and events from previous novels. I am looking forward to reading the next adventure of Suds and Sam with great anticipation.
I received an ARC of this novel and this is my honest review.

Suds and Sam are at it again! Poor Sam innocently finds trouble. I know Sam is shocked when she is arrested for killing a man. She is even more surprised when her father, the police chief, doesn’t come to her rescue. More evidence keeps showing up against Sam so Sam and Suds decide they need to get out of town. There is a funny part with them leaving that had me laughing. I also found out more about Suds life that brought tears to my eyes. The two didn’t like what they had to do to keep Sam safe, but they were desperate. This is one of my favorite books in this series. I strongly encourage you to read the book. Once again trouble finds Sam and our intrepid duo are forced to run for their lives. This book is filled with suspense and danger, secrets and murder, but still it holds lots of laughter for the reader. I absolutely love this series.

Intriguing read, suspense with a sense of humor
Suds and Sam: On The Lam (Suds and Sam Series Book 7) by Stella Marie Alden is a highly entertaining and well written romantic suspense. Once again, this author has completely captivated this reader with these wonder characters; Suds in all his glorious southern charm and Sam with her no nonsense witty Brooklyn ‘tude!
This book has it all. Edge of your seat suspense, laugh out loud dialogue, crazy but love ‘em anyway family, emotional pulling, breath stealing danger and best of all, Suds and Sam solve the case while creating even deeper emotional bonds and solidifying their already deep and abiding love for one another.
Overall, a very well written book that is obviously about this author’s favorite characters and it shows in the details, steamy scenes, sweet moments and ultimately and another HEA for this super awesome couple!

Suds and Sam are addictive. Their quirky romance makes me smile.

I cannot believe how easily trouble finds Sam, but if it didn't there wouldn't be much of a story. I look forward to more adventures.

As trouble comes knocking their way, I was blown away by the outpouring of help and support from their friends and family. Boy, did the bad guys pick the wrong lady.

This book moved at a faster clip, but I didn't mind, since it made sense with the story- a lot is trying to avoid danger.

The chemistry between Suds and Sam is astounding. I love how at one point Suds thought making love to the same woman would get boring. Finding the right person changes everything we thought we knew.

Ending after the drama was blissful. Couldn't have asked for better. A great addition to their story.

I received an advanced copy of this story for an honest review.

After each book I think the next book is going to start getting old and I’m always wrong. Sam is trying to uphold her promise to Suds that she will only work cases involving cheating spouses but in true Sam fashion, trouble, or in this case, murder follows her. When their apartment is broken into and evidence planted that incriminates Sam in the murder, she and Sam head west when they learn a hit has been taken out on Sam. The hilarity that ensues is utterly brilliant. You will laugh and fan yourself at the same time from the passion generated between these two. All I can say is I hope Stella continues to prove me wrong because I love these two. You can enjoy this book on it’s own but you will understand more if you read them all. I was provided an ARC from the author in exchange for my honest opinion.

Sam does it again. She never try’s to find trouble but it always finds her. This is another incredible Suds and Sam story. It magnificently written with all the amazing characters. They all have stunning personalities that are felt throughout the story. This story engages you so deeply that it feels as if you are part of the story. There is action, suspense, mystery, drama, and of course some sexy hot scenes. The descriptions in the story are vivid and allows you to easily picture what is happening. This will have you trying to figure out the who done it with all the twists and turns throughout it. It is always great to see some of the characters from the other stories as the add such an amazing element to it. This is most definitely a must read and doesn’t disappoint.

I love this Suds and Sam series, this book makes a great addition to the series. Can Suds and Sam live a low key, uneventful, 'normal' life? That is the goal moving forward after everything that these two characters have been through, to take the danger and suspense down a notch. I love the good intentions but really, it is just not a Suds and Sam story without the antics these two find themselves in. My favorite storytelling, packed full of humor, steaminess and craziness that just takes you away from life and gives you a much needed escape. I cannot recommend this book or this series if you have not checked it out enough. As always, anxiously awaiting to see what could possibly happen next.
Enjoy!

My good it started right with a lot of action, when Sam stalked or better observed a potential cheater. But since she is a danger magnet, everything goes wrong of course. Next to the action, It is nice to see there married life and how they still hot for each other. Shit hit the fan, when there was a price on Sam's head. It was a very action filled story with our lovely couple in grave danger. I still did not like his mother much, sorry, there are other ways. The writing was like always great and the extended family and dialogues witty and funny. It was another wild ride for Sam and Suds or Suds and Sam.

Suds and Sam are at it again. How much trouble can Sam get into while only taking on safe cases like cheating spouses? As usual, she finds herself in the midst of a serious crime and a price on her head. Suds, the ever patient husband, takes her to a safe place to protect her. Who’s really behind the hit and who can help them.

This next instalment has all the suspense, family craziness and plenty of sexy times between these two characters that we look forward to reading about. Always puts a smile on my face when reading about Sam’s ability to find trouble.

I am really loving this couple. As usual, being the danger magnet that she is, Sam stumbled on a murder but the tables are turned on her. With a price on her head, she and Suds are on the run while they regroup and plan what to do next. Hilarious, witty and entertaining. Even with the mystery, suspense, action and danger, I still find the story light and delightful. Not to mention Suds and Sam's passion and love for each other are evident in the pages of the book. Amazing work. I really enjoyed reading this story.

Suds and Sam are back at it again. This book is part of a series (an awesome series), you could probably follow along picking this up here but why would you want to? These characters are so fun and have so much combustible chemistry you’ll want to jump in from the start.

We get to not only see our favorite duo get into trouble (we all know who’s really the cause), but we enjoy the fun they have getting out of it. Everyone gets a bit more fleshed out as this series progresses and I love the interactions so much!

I received an advanced copy of this book from the author (I also had preordered the book) and am giving my voluntary honest review.

Suds and Sam are back again! This time Sam is framed for murder after a catch a cheater case goes wrong. Then when a hit is placed on Sam, her and Suds have to go on the run all while trying to figure out who is responsible for everything.

This book was really great! It was a quick easy read that I didn't want to put down! The Suds and Sam books are so entertaining and the newest adoring to the series can have the same said for it. I hope that there are more books to come for this series! I highly recommend reading Suds and Sam. You won't regret it!

Danger Magnet - she makes an appearance in the first paragraph. Samantha, is definitely a danger magnet, "nothing good happens at two in the morning."

Google Lady, looking for a shootout at the O.K. Corral, "Post Spider Stress Syndrome", orange water, Father O's sermons, domestically impaired wife, "if an Italian goes outside with wet hair, she will die." There are so many snickering/giggle moments in this book, with just as many steamy moments and the appropriate suspense moments, the book is a non-stop page turner. The chapters in this spin off series just keep getting better and better. You can't go wrong with Ms. Alden's books.

This quirky duo are at it again...
7th in series but each can read as a stand alone. Beware, they're irresistible! Charming & disarming, their skill sets make them a formidable team in business & in the bedroom or, frankly, anywhere that takes their fancy. They are so quick witted & funny that I really miss them when I've finished the last chapter. They often face life threatening danger but they're not intimidated, they always solve the case. The heroine has a very odd family but we like them when they make an appearance from time to time. Another great story from this talented author. I received an arc & this is my honest & voluntary review.

Funny & Action Packed

Once again Sam manages to find herself in trouble and brings Suds right along with her. This time she ends up at odds with the police when she discovers a murder but they rule it a suicide. The story contained the normal snarky dialogue as well as lots of action and Suds gets several opportunities to break his rambling record (but will he?). Not sure how much longer Sam can survive the scrapes she gets herself into or how long Suds and her family will put up with her inability to keep herself out of trouble but she can definitely solve the puzzles even if she couldn’t fry an egg to save her life. Enjoyable read.

Oh how can a series get better and better, well this one does.
It only took a few photos and now Sam is in danger. Just as well Suds is there to protect her. A crazy (as always) fast paced story of danger, murder, hiding out, scary spiders, car chases all in a days work right!!!! Things escalate this time for Sam now she has a contract out on her...what did she photograph!!
This is better than watching a movie on tv. Lots of action , in the bedroom, on the run and everywhere else really. Not surprised I had to get the tissues out again at certain moments. Loved it

Sam can only do cheating husbands now so she cant get into to much trouble. While following a cheating husband, Sam hears a gun and finds the dead body. Its clearly a murder but when the NYPD show it the officer says it a suicide. They confiscate her camera and cell phone and the next Sam and Suds are on the run. Going to his cabin, roughing it isn't what Sam had in mind. Following Sam's death, they head back home and solve the mystery. Score for Suds and Sam again.

If you have not started this series, I highly recommend it. Sam does not go looking for trouble, but somehow she always ends up in the thick of things!! She is only taking on safe jobs of cheating spouses....and ends up in the middle of a murder mystery, and poor Suds has to save her, and himself, again. You will not want to put this book down as you follow these two out of trouble. Enjoy as you laugh your way through this romantic suspense!!

Well Stella... you’ve done it again!

Another awesome adventure with Suds and Sam! And a good one it was too!!
Poor Sam never seems to catch a break! Always ending up in more trouble than she intends! But what gets me is Suds’ everlasting and loyal love for Sam! No matter how much trouble she gets in, she’s always right by her side and willing to do anything to keep her safe!! Everyone needs a Suds in their life!!

And their wedding at the end was lovely!! A little bun in the oven in the next book would be great ;-)

Great book, great read, great series!!

Poor Suds and Sam can never catch a break. When a simple "follow the cheater" turns into a murder case with Sam framed for the crime it time to consider an escape plan. In order to prove Sam innocent of the trump up charge of murder and the flee from a would-be killer, Sam and Suds are on the lam. Once again Ms. Alden has outdone herself. This romantic suspense series just gets better and better. I love this book and can't wait to read the next one in this exciting series.

Overall a fun read and one of the better books in the series. I didn't see the need for the subplot (maybe it was there as character development for Suds?) and I really didn't see the need for the exchange in which Suds has to tell Sam "Mentally challenged, sugar. At least try to be politically correct." in response to something ignorant Sam says. In this day and age, the author shouldn't be using offensive language for laughs-- you wouldn't use a racial slur this way, would you?

Sam is at it again and Suds is there to rescue the woman he loves. What starts out as a case of a cheating husband, ends up with Sam being accused of murder. Because this is Suds & Sam life cant be easy so all the drama, action, suspense, and steamy fun commence. All Suds wants is to protect and love his wife. Unfortunately for him, Sam is as curious as a cat, so she has to find answers. I love the relationship between these two and the steam. The book is a well paced page turner and a great 7th (really?) book to this series.

Another brilliant Suds and Sam adventure, they just keep getting better. Somehow Sam ends up in trouble again without really trying, and Suds races to her rescue. There is so much in this book, its emotional, full of twists and turns and the surprises just keep coming. There are some really hilarious moments, many emotional moments and through it all Sam and Suds love just gets deeper and deeper. I think all of Sam’s family are involved in this story one way or another, and there is a surprise insight into Suds past. I highly recommend Suds and Sam on the Lam!

This was my favorite Suds and Sam so far! I like that Suds got closure for his childhood problems, that was really sweet. The pace was great through the whole book and it was a very entertaining story. It didn't take to much suspension of belief as I could see something like this really happening so I think this was the most believable Suds and Sam. Which I really liked. The writing was very good and I would recommend Suds and Sam on the Lam.

Suds and Sam the dynamite duel. They and their family keeping me laughing all night long. Sam is always the one to end up in the thick of things. She can never let things go without investigating. Suds is frazzled always protecting and keeping Sam safe. You can never get enough of them. What's does Stella have up her sleeve next for this dynamic couple. Fast paced action packed fun. Another hilarious episode of the misadventures of Suds and Sam. Poor Sam, no matter how hard she tries to play it safe, she always seems to attract trouble. This time she doesn't even know what she did, but she ends up with a price on her head and it just goes downhill from there. Suds of course practically goes bananas trying to keep her alive. Lots of yummy love making and even more funny banter. I love this series and can't wait for more!

I absolutely love these two!! Great characters! Sam, aka Danger Magnet, find herself in a whole lot of trouble while out taking photos of a cheating spouse. Suds comes to help her out and they find themselves on the run while trying to solve the case. I love the humor, the romance, the crime solving and the side characters in these books, Great read!
