Jonah: The Fearful Prophet

Rate this book
Jonah: The Fearful Prophet, as retold by Janice D. Green and illustrated by Kimberly Merritt, shares the account of Jonah, who ran from his God-given assignment. Fearful Jonah boarded a ship going far away from where God was sending him. Instead of escaping God, he found himself at the bottom of the sea, praying to God. Given a miraculous second chance, Jonah obeyed and delivered God’s message to the people he feared. Even though he was successful, he wasn’t happy with the outcome. He still had one more lesson to learn. A download URL is given for the purchaser of this e-book to copy coloring pages for family use, teaching, or for making crayon colored Bible quilt blocks. A Honeycomb Adventures Book. God's Word is sweeter than honey from the comb. Psalm 19:10

Jonah: the Fearful Prophet is an accurate retelling of the Bible account of Jonah's story. It follows the Bible account completely. And the artwork not only complements the text, it is bright and attention-grabbing. A coloring book and activities for VBS and/or Backyard Bible Schools are available to complement this book.

I think it will be a great investment for homeschooling families, for VBS teachers, Sunday School teachers, and Backyard Bible teachers. The price is reasonable, too!

I think this is a fantastic book, but I must confess I'm biased considering that I wrote it. I'm simply trying to import it into Goodreads so others can find it.

This is the coloring book format. The pictures and text are the same as in the picture book, only I colored the pictures in the picture book. Also included are puzzles and questions to discuss. The url to a downloadable PDF file of the illustrations and puzzles is also included for classroom or family use or for making a crayon-colored Bible quilt.
