Having read Jim's previous book Punk Football forever my master's Theses and spoken to him online and on a blog cast in lockdown, I finally read this one.
An easy read and occasionally sad when you hear of club failures, this book also looked at new forms of football like Hashtag United and AFC unity which was eye open.
A passionate writer and fan. Worth getting and very much follows on from his earlier book.
Wish the book delved into more business philosophy and language. The stories are amazing and the history of football in England from youth to professional are great but there are not a ton of actual business learnings in the book on how to run a football club.
A really interesting look into the grassroots of English football documenting those who keep non league teams afloat to those who throw money and then get disinterested and all things in between. Lots of interesting stories based on a range of football and well worth a read.
