Along with his brothers, Jason Darlington is a successful real estate agent with the Darlington good looks and charm. His other passion is Point Blank, his rock-and-roll band in which he is the lead singer and guitarist. Between his work and music, as well as the endless supply of willing groupies, his life is perfect and he has no complaints.
But while on the tour of a lifetime, the backup singer for Point Blank falls ill and they have to quickly find a replacement, leading them to hire Sybil Earle. As they perform together, Jason and Sybil can’t resist fate and are drawn irresistibly to each other. But when they return home secrets are unearthed, souring their budding relationship, and they both go their separate ways, desperate to move on with their lives.
Even when they are about to reunite, destiny seems determined to keep the lovers apart, even putting Sybil’s life in danger, until Sybil leaves everything behind and moves to England to focus on her music.
Can Jason convince Sybil that they belong together and fight the forces trying to keep them away from each other?
Author Avery North is a romance author who is very passionate about writing and prides herself in giving her readers what they want. She writes short, steamy and sweet romance stories which includes alpha males and super vivacious women.
This is the second book in the Darlington Brothers Series and is Jason's story. He's a Realtor by day and a Rocker by night. Sybil comes into the picture as a replacement singer for his band. Fate brought them together and chemistry takes over. Secrets surface and blow everything up. Turmoil and emotion are rampant. A good book that will grab your attention and keep your attention. Does love win out or not? I read an arc and voluntarily chose to review it.
Too much pushing away from the heroine and the hero was too childish and THEIR LOVE STORY IS MEHHH.... not too romantic, i found NO SPARK.
Both singers and have a business, but their mindset is just too childish for me. The heroine heard something about the hero while they were in a relationship, but instead of confirming it or asking her boyfriend. She just went on radio silent for two weeks and when the hero comes over she just yell and kick him off from apartment saying ITS OVER.
Felt heartbroken and childish, he just go and feel h*rny with someone else and start to have s*x with someone else, AAARRRGGGHHH.... why childish? Because if i was him, i went over and try ask the heroine what happened and lets fix it.
But nope the hero have to gave up so easily....
And went on with someone else but have the nerve thinking I love her. So why even do it? So childish!
While they were separated, the hero goes to someone else but the heroine never made that far.
THE HERO ALWAYS GAVE UP SO EASILY AND NOT A ALPHA MALE. THE HEROINE IS TOO CHILDISH...
I have to read the hero went on with someone else even at the beginning of the book so I DON’T LIKE READING THIS BOOK AT ALL. Meeehhhh....
The hero have a stalker and tries to kills the heroine. The heroine was saved.
But even after what she’s been through, the hero never fight for her enough and still gave up so easily. Nope this is not what i want from a hero.
Happy ending. Got back together again for good and married few years later have kids.
Jason is the second book in the Darlington Brothers series. This story is about Jason Darlington and Sybil Chambers. To say Jason is a player would be the understatement of the year. But then again he is a Darlington brother and he is the lead singer and guitarist in the band, Point Blank. His band is offered a tour and they jump at it. The only problem is that Jason has an issue with his voice. A visit to the doctor determines that he has nodules and must not use it too much. But the band goes on tour and things are going well until the Crystal, the backup singer, gets sick and has to return home. So it is either get off the tour or get another singer They have to find her quick also as their next gig is in two days. Sybil is twenty-eight years old and owns a hair salon, ScissorsWorth, with her best friend Grace. They have worked hard and made the salon the best in the city. She grew up doing hair but it was not what she expected to do but it fulfilled one of her dreams, to own her own business. Her other dream was to sing in a band. But because she is shy she has not have the courage to join a band yet. But one evening at the end of her day when she is still at the salon she decided to fill in a profile on Bugle Bulletin and see if anyone contacts her, the first step to achieving her dream. Jason was on Bugle Bulletin and looking to see if he could find a singer to join the band. He sees Sybil's posting opens it up. But as she does not have a lot of experience he just about moves on until he sees her sound clips and decides to listen. He is surprised as ... "this girl can sing." After the rest of the band listens to her clips they all agree that she has a great voice and they want to come out to sing with the band. So a phone call later and Sybil does not believe what she is hearing on the phone. But she does agree to be flown out to the band and do a couple dates with them, as a back-up singer and also lead on a few songs. A few gigs turn into a whole lot more and she and Jason make fantastic harmonies and music together. They also start a relationship as their chemistry builds. It seems Jason may be changing his ways and maybe, just maybe, monogamy is what he wants in the end. But what will happen when the tour is over and they return home? Will Jason still feel the same about Sybil and a future making sweet music together? Will Sybil want to go back to being a hair stylist or will her love of music, and her dream of being a singer, be what she chooses? This is a charming and delicious story that has drama, romance, emotions and of course some sizzling sexy times. I found the story of Jason and Sybil to be very entertaining and captivating. A great read!
I received a copy of this book for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
One of my per peeves us when writers get the names of their own characters wrong. Twice, she calls Jason "Justin," (there's no Justin in this story) and once she calls him Lucas.
I also don't like when storylines are made unbelievably simple so the writer can get somewhere in the story...like how Sybil, an absolute unknown, comes off of the tour as a backup singer with Jason's group (where they were an opening act) and within less than a year, she's hit it big, had a CD released, and she's hitting the charts.
I also don't like when storylines are unbelievably stupid...like when Jason figures out who is behind Sybil's kidnapping and where she's likely being held, but instead of calling the police or just going to save her, he calls his brother to ask questions about the suspect, then he calls the suspect's previous employer to ask questions... WHILE THE WOMAN HE ALLEGEDLY LOVES IS IN MORTAL DANGER?!
WTF???
This author has a thing for introducing people into her stories that don't require the time or space. Peyton plays a big part, but we didn't need to read about her marriage in-depth; and we didn't need to read about Clara at all. We also George, who took Sybil on a date and when she left him high and dry at the end of their date, he vows to see her again and make sure their next date ends with "more excitement," but we never see him again.
Both Jason and Sybil were unlikable. I didn't really care if they got together. When it looked they might not, I was overjoyed.
This story...as a matter of fact, this series is just a big "No" for me. I didn't like Lucas' book, but I thought I'd give Jason's a try. I regret that decision. I can't go through four more of these.

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the second book in the Darlington Brothers series. In this book, Jason is the brother who finds love. Jason is also a real estate agent who works with his brothers, but he is also in a rock band and sings lead vocals. When Jason's band is offered a tour, he learns he has nodules on his throat and the doctor warns him to limit his singing, so the band decide to hire another singer to help him. Sybil is a hair stylist who owns her shop with a friend and is known for singing for her clients. When a client tells her to post video of her singing on a website for people looking for members for their bans, she does and Jason calls her to offer her a job. Sybil joins the tour and soon her and Jason grow close. They develop a friendship and soon it turns to more, but Sybil wonders what will happen when the tour ends. Jason has a reputation as a playboy and she thinks this is only some fun for Jason. I loved this book. I really loved Jason, he was a good guy and he really cares for Sybil. I think Jason grew up and changed. Sybil was scared and after learning more about Jason, she wondered if he really did care for her or if she was just convenient for him. Sybil also had family complications with Jason too. I am really enjoying this series and look forward to reading the next book.
*Spoiler* I love the Darlington Brothers Series books! Avery North has continued her lovely writing in Book 2 of this series. This book is so romantic and sizzling hot. While on the road touring with a popular band he sends for a replacement singer for an ill backup singer. He listens to her sample recording and immediately makes arrangements to fly her out to where the band is currently playing. She is an incredible singer and they soon begin a relationship together on the road. Flash forward to the end of the tour. They go back home which they so happen to live in the same hometown. Wow! Oh my word this story was so emotional I was tearing up at times. When Sybil got the job singing with Jason's band they hit it off straight away, the chemistry between them was amazing & they planned to be together when they got back home after the tour finished & was so happy until her sister Jade dropped a huge bombshell. She refused to see or speak to Jason but never told him why which really peed me off I couldn't believe that she didn't even give him a chance to give his side of the story then just as I thought they might get back together psycho Peyton came on the scene & blew everything to smitherines which led to Sybil leaving the country going to the UK & never replied to any of Jason's emails. I started hating her again when she just left him & moved on with her life but when Jason found out she was getting married he went to the UK to tell her again that he still loved her but she sent him away & I couldn't believe she could be so heartless but no matter how much he tried he never got over her & never would, I just prayed that she would come to her senses. I can't wait for the next book.

Jason was pretty happy with his life so far he was making money for the company his mom started and he could have just about any woman he wanted. But he also loved being a singer for his band to their good luck the band had a chance to open for a famous group and he needed to be out of the office for the next 13 weeks. Jason knew after all the groupie's that he was missing something but he wasn't sure what until he met Sybil a Hair Salon co-owner and a fabulous singer trying to find her nitch in the music world. They heard her tape when their backup singer got sick and Jason realized she lived in his town and he called her and the tour went on. They seem to get close while finishing the last 8 weeks of the tour but when the tour was over it seems that everything kept going wrong and they ended up in a fatal attraction that left them both upset and Sybil moves away. The great storyline of the characters was intriguing. 'Romantic suspense thriller. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. I loved this book. Jason is a realtor who also plays in a band. His band gets to go on tour and while there the backup singer gets sick and has to go home. Enter Sybil from an add they placed to find a new singer. Sybil was Leary at first thinking it was a prank when they called her but once she realized it was real she flew out on the Darlington private plane. While on tour they became friends and then loves. Once she returns home she finds out Jason had slept with her sister and breaks things off. Jason tries everything to get her back. Once he convinces her he loves her they get back together. Enter Peyton a crazy employee who feels Jason is hers. She kidnaps Sybil and plans on killing her. Jason rescues her but something else intervenes and they break up once again. While in England Sybil meets Jerry but once she accepts his proposal she still can’t move on from Jason. Sybil finally comes to her senses and goes home and to Jason.

I am totally at a loss for words ! The series (Darlington Brothers Series) has started off with a bang. Some words that come to mind when describing how I feel about The Darlington Brothers Series are : fabulous, amazing, wonderful, entertaining, spectacular., kick-ass. I guess you get the idea that I really enjoy reading these books. Avery North hit another home run with Jason. I could not put this book down and read it at one sitting. Jason is a very successful realtor and lead singer /guitarist in a band. We meet Sybil a hairdresser with an exceptional voice who applies to be their fill in backup singer. You do not have to read Lucas before reading Jason although I recommend reading the book The Beginning,( the prologue) before reading either. I cannot wait to read the next book in the series, Logan.

This is the second book in the Darlington brothers series. Jason was a fantastic read!! This book was very hard to put down!! There were quite a bit of twists and turns!! Jason and Sybil had to go through a lot to get to their happily ever after!! I highly recommend this book!! I can’t wait for the next brother, Logan ♥️
Jason works at his family’s real estate company by day, but is also the lead singer and guitarist in a band. Being surrounded by groupies every night, Jason craves more!!
Sybil is the co owner of a hair salon, but also has the dream of becoming a singer. The problem is she’s shy.
Jason invites Sybil to become a backup singer for his band. Together on the road, brings these two closer together. Unfortunately back in the “real world,” there are obstacles that try to stand in their way. Can Jason and Sybil work through those many obstacles in their way, to find the road to happiness??
This is Book 2 of the Darlington Brothers series and it is just as hot and mind blowing as the first book, if not more. Jason is not only a successful real estate agent but also the lead singer and guitarist in a band. While on tour for six months the backup singer falls ill and must return home so they hire Sybil Earle as a replacement. Jason and Sybil perform well together and as they get to know each other they realize they are attracted to each other. The chemistry between them is hot and combustible. What will happen to Jason and Sybil when they return home from being on tour? Will there be a HEA for them? This book is full of drama, trauma, and emotion. Found it impossible put down. I highly recommend this book. Can’t wait for the next book in the series.

Jason is the second book in the Darlington brothers series. Jason works at the family's realty company and is also the lead singer and guitarist in a band. Jason is a successful realtor, rich and has groupies galore. He is realizing that he wants more in his life than one night stands.
Sybil is part owner in a hair salon and a singer, but a shy singer. That is until Jason hires her to be a back up singer with the band.
Their love affair is sweet and tender while they are on tour. When the tour ends they return home. Their once smooth love affair hits one bump after another from her sister's interference, a psycho stalker, kidnapping, weddings and other women.
This quick read is full of twists. I found myself almost yelling at the story in disbelief. I was as frustrated as the characters. I didn't want the story to end but I wanted Jason and Sybil together. Avery North wrote a book with a definitive happily ever after but boy what a ride to get there. Jason is great follow up to Lucas, the first in the series. I can't wait to read about the next brother, Logan.
This is book two in the Darlington Brothers series. This was a really good read just be aware it’ll take your emotions for a roller coaster ride. This can be read as a standalone. I’ve really enjoyed this series so far and can’t wait to see what book three brings.
Jason is a player. The man swaps women constantly. Monogamy is definitely not his strong point. His band gets a chance to go on tour for six months, so he passes off the houses he was showing to other agents and heads out on tour. While on tour their backup singer gets sick, so they hire Sybil to sing backup. Jason realizes she’s different and they start a relationship. I swear the universe was trying to keep these two apart. Will they figure things out or part ways and move on with their lives?

Jason's involved in the family real estate business, but he's also in a band. They have an opportunity for a 6-month tour with another band, but part way through, their backup singer loses her voice, and they find Sybil to fill in. She is co-owner of a hair salon, but figures out how to finish out the tour. She and Jason have unbelievable chemistry, and a sweet and tender relationship ensues. When they get home, she finds out he's a player, and slept with her sister once. At the same that that she decides she's done with him, he realizes that he wants more from his life, and he wants it with her. This is a very emotional story, with tons of action and drama. They truly have a roller-coaster ride to get to happiness.

OMG, this one just blew me away. It’s an edge of your seat, heart pounding and intense read. When Sybil is hired as the back up singer for Jason’s band while on tour, their friendship. becomes so much more. Upon returning home, her sister, Jade, warns her that Jason is bad news, he uses women, breaks their hearts and she should stay away. When Jade reveals that she had slept with him 3 yrs ago, Sybil is crushed and determined to stay away from both her sister and Jason. What an incredible storyline with so much emotion. The ups and downs, the suspense, the crazy Peyton who almost kills Sybil and the heartbreak. Through it all Jason never loses his love for her and even when it looks as if all is lost, they finally get their HEA. A must read!

This is the 2nd book in this series, where we follow Jason Darlington, and meet Sybil. Jason, like his brother Lucas from book 1 works for Darlington realty, he is also the lead singer/ guitarist for a band. While on tour the back up singer falls ill, and the band hires Sybil to take over. Jason and Sybil hit it off...until the tour is over. The rollercoaster ride that follows, with the twists and turns, hurt and under it all love keeps the book flowing, all while routing for these 2. I absolutely loved the ending Jason and Sybil got, and look forward to reading about the next brother Lucas. If you haven't already done so, I highly recommend this series.
I received this as a free Arc read from the author and give my honest review
Jason has always been the one night stand guy, but he's getting bored of it. Sybil was a hairdresser who got a part singing in Jason's band when there back up singer went home sick. Back to reality after the tour Sybil finds out jason slept with her sister and gets depressed and has nothing to do with Jason or her sister. Jason's stalker hurts Sybil twice and in the end sybil decoders to go to London for a year for her music. She gets engaged while there Jason tries to get her to change her mind but she won't. So he comes home all depressed and tries to carry on but can't. They end up together in the end though.

I really enjoyed reading Jason: Darlington Brothers Series Book 2 by Avery North because it was such a great book about Jason and Sybil. Jason is a real estate agent who is also a singer in a band. When one of his band mates has to go home, they need to fill in a back up singer quick. Enter in Sybil who is a hairdresser and a singer but is a little timid when comes to singing. Put these two together and you have a very steamy and passionate relationship. Bring in a whole lot of drama that leaves you on the edge of your seat and you have a fantastic book! I wondered if they were ever going to stay together. It was such a great book that I highly recommend reading.

What happens when your reputation for no relationships and only meaningless sex catches up to you? For Jason Darlington, it means that he finally meets "the one" but trying to convince Sybil that he views her as his future becomes difficult as one of his one night stands muddies the waters. This storyline had me really wondering whether there would be an HEA for Jason and Sybil but due to Ms. North's masterful writing and a surprise ending I was finally rewarded with an ending befitting these two troubled souls. This is only Book 2 in the Darlington Brothers Series and I am hopelessly hooked and craving my next Darlington Brother fix.
I was given an ARC from Booksprout in exchange for an honest and totally voluntary review.
The Darlington Brother series continues with Jason's story. Like his brothers, he is also a successful real estate agent in their family business. But he is also passionate about singing in his band. When his band goes on tour, they had to quickly find a backup singer replacement, and that's when we meet Sybil. Jason and Sybil hit it off right away and start dating, but then Sybil finds out some news about his past that causes her to break things off with him. Then you add in the element of danger with a crazed employee - and this is quite the page-turner! I love this series and this book is a great addition to it. I'm looking forward to the next brother's story!

Oh my goodness I was on edge to see how the remaining brothers story would go after Lucas and when I tell you Avery North has blown my mind with Jason. I tried laying in the recliner while reading but so much kept happening I was continually jumping up and down, screaming, clapping and wanting to strangle Peyton.
So be prepared to read this in the comfort of your home and no kids trying to do homework or anyone trying to sleep. This book will have you fussing at it as if you were watching a scary movie and screaming at the screen lol.
Enjoy!

Fantastic story! Jason Darlington is at the top of the Real Estate world but side lines as the lead singer of Profit Margin. When one of their back up singers needs to quit, they call In Sybil. Jason and Sybil start a wild relationship that had many obstacles to get over. This book had all the drama, suspense and mystery as well as the romance every good book needs. I enjoyed the dynamic between Jason and Sybil, but also the suspense that the extra character brings in. I was always pulling for Sybil to get her act together. This was a great book, very impressed!
This was an ARC from Book sprout and this is my honest review.
Jason is living his best life. He has everything at his fingertips. A great job, well two. One in the family real estate business and the other his band. When they lose their backup singer this is where Sybil comes into play. A hairstylist and a singer to booth but a little on the shy side. There whirlwind romance blossoms while they’re on tour but comes to a screeching holt once the tour is over. This book is fill with intrigue, danger, a kidnapping, a wedding, groupies, and a whole lot of drama.
