Lange set himself a difficult task -- tp tell his story in the most truthful way possible. He does so without diminishing certain premises that the reader must accept -- that faith exists, that angels operate in this world, that there is no such thing as a coincidence. Lange's quirky tale is a love story of a different stripe, a gripping recounting of devotion and commitment to two women, to the country that he loves, and to seeking the best in himself and others.
