I was born in a suburb of St. Louis, Missouri named Bridgeton. During my time in Missouri, I explored the Ozarks, swam in the Mississippi River, played kickball and endless games of hide and seek with the neighborhood kids. Spending summers in Kentucky with my Grandmother, Ruth, are the fondest childhood memories for me.

At the age of thirteen, my family moved to Wisconsin to learn to farm. Yes, learn to farm! That was interesting. Taking city kids and throwing them on a farm with twenty-eight cows purchased from the Humane Society because they had been abused, was interesting. I learned to milk cows, the ins and outs of a breeding schedule, feeding schedule and the never ending haying in the summer and trying to stay warm in the winter. Our first winter in Wisconsin, we had thirty-six inches of snow in one storm and were snowed in our house for three days! Needless to say, I wasn’t loving Wisconsin.

I am now married with four children and three grandchildren. I have learned to love Wisconsin, though I still hate snow. Wisconsin and the United States are beautiful and my husband and I travel around by motorcycle seeing new sites and meeting new people. It never ceases to amaze me how many people are interested in where we are going and what we have seen along the way. At every gas station, restaurant and hotel, we have people come up to us and ask us about what we are doing and offering advice on which roads in the area are better than others and great rides others have been on if we are interested.

I come from a family of veterans. My grandfather, father, brother and two of my sons and one daughter-in-law are all veterans. Needless to say, I am proud. Proud to be an American and proud of the service my amazing family has given.

Chase waited three, three long years for LuAnn to service her prison sentence for trying to kill Joci and Maddy. He needed to know if she was the ONE for him or she really wanted Dog. But LuAnn learned during her time that the thing she had for Dog was an infatuation for him and her true feelings were for Chase !! He needed to figure that out before he made a MOVE ??

Would LuAnn be accepted back around the Rolling Thunder family .. ever ?? Or would an almost tragedy make it happen ??

The words in this installment will consume you in the BEST WAY !! Cheering LuAnn on for the changes she makes and for Chase felling with his heart !!

Loved it !! Can’t wait for more .... Greg maybe ?? Loved seeking the original characters along with the new .. they all flowed together !!

LuAnn is getting out of prison after three years for doing the unthinkable. Chase is there to pick her up and help her even though it causes him problems. Can Chase believe in her enough to help her make a new start and make her life better? This book is full of forgiveness, love, hope and regrets and trying to make your life into something your proud of.

I think Chase and LuAnn are my favorite couple.

LuAnn just got out of prison after three years because she messed with Joci's bike and almost killed her and her baby. Much to everyone's dismay, Chase has kept in contact with LuAnn and visited her as often as he could. Now she is back in town and and has realized her feelings for Chase. Even though she has changed while in prison and is very remorseful, she will never be accepted by anyone at Rolling Thunder again. When Chase is offered a job as head designer for a company in Colorado, will he take it? With no one able or willing to forgive her she is thinking about leaving to start over somewhere else so he can keep his "family". But when Dog accused her of trying to drown his daughter and granddaughter when I reality she saved their lives, they both decide they have to leave and start over together. Will he get the job in Colorado and will LuAnn go with him? Will Dog, Joci and the boys be able to ever forgive her? With moving away will Chase lose his family?

I was a bit worried when I received this book since it’s the 7th book in this series and being lost during the story. I was pleasantly surprised that I did not miss one beat as the author wrote an amazing story, integrating past characters and the current situation seamlessly, which is a testament to this author’s writing abilities.
Chase has been waiting for Luann after she is released from prison after three years. He has kept in contact with her, visiting her will she did her time and picks her up upon her release, even though his “family” wants no contact with her after what she did which led to her being locked up. While in prison, Luann has had time to reflect on her past behaviour and the consequences, wanting to become a woman that makes her and others proud of and atoning for her actions. Chase is willing to stand by her and is hoping she sees him, actually sees him as someone that she could love and have a future with...they just have to navigate his family and hopefully they have a new start in both their lives.
Oh my oh my, this read had all the feels and emotions pouring off the pages and even though I haven’t read about these characters in the previous books, I was instantly rooting for these two and even Luann, knowing what she did and received just punishment. It was a roller coaster of a ride, with love, forgiveness, new beginnings, second chances, faith and standing by the one who actually “sees” the other and will do whatever it takes to make the other happy.
It was a five star read but I was hoping for more of an ending as I LOVED these two and would have liked an epilogue (as I love my epilogues especially with characters I can’t get enough of) to see them in the future, where they end up especially Luann, their house, do the others visit etc.

I absolutely loved this book. Chase could have left LuAnn in prison by herself and never visited. Dog is like a father to Chase and his family has become his family. Chase and LuAnn didn’t have a “relationship” before she went to prison. She was infatuated with Dog. Chase was only someone she had sex with. Keeping in touch with her put him in a sticky situation. But no matter what girl he turned to when LuAnn was in prison, they weren’t her. His feelings for her were stronger than he realized. Could LuAnn change while in prison. Could she accept what she did was wrong. During her time in prison LuAnn did indeed “grow up.” With each visit as time went on, Chase saw the change in LuAnn. But how will she be when it was time to be released. Will she revert back to the person she was or accept responsibility for what she did and move on or at least try to move on.
What I loved most of this book was how Chase stood by LuAnn when she was released. He knew how Dog and his family felt about her. He stayed with her and supported her regardless. Their relationship was now a true “couple” relationship. What she thought she felt for Dog was in no way what she feels for Chase. She and Chase now have a future together and a life they both dreamed of having that has now become a reality.
If you’re looking for a beautiful love story built on support, forgiveness, and understanding look no further. Moving On will have you glued to every word and unable to put down. A five star read by far written by a 5 star author.

4 1/2 Stars for this emotional story!

I remember LuAnn and Chase from the first book and I'll be honest, I really had my reservations about reading LuAnn's story ... but I really liked Chase. Ms. Fiala made me totally rethink my opinion of LuAnn. I actually ended up feeling sorry for her ... she changed so much while she was in jail. Everyone regrets things they did when they were young. And I just loved Chase all the more for not giving up on her ... sigh! This story made me laugh, cry and swoon ... a very emotional read! I would recommend reading (at least) the first book in the series to get the full effect of what LuAnn was like.

After 3 years in jail, LuAnn is out and she moved in with her sister. She regrets the way she acted towards Dog and Joci, and never meant for Joci to get hurt. But she did her time and now she wants to start over even though she knows the Sheppard family will never forgive her. Chase is the only person from her past to stick by her and visit her in jail. The whole situation is really hard for Chase because Dog has been a father figure to him, but he's in love with LuAnn ... always has been. Will Chase be able to keep his work life and personal life separate?

I received an early copy courtesy of the author in exchange for a honest review.

Is forgiveness possible?

LuAnn is desperate for a fresh start, she doesn't expect forgiveness but neither are they willing to give her acceptance or a clean slate. Chase is the only one who has stayed in contact, visited and who accepts her faults and all, but could he possibly want more...want her? LuAnn may have served her time and may have come to some upsetting realisations about herself whilst she was in prison, but she is still confused. She has realised she loves Chase, but can she be the woman he deserves, is it fair to him to ask him to take on her baggage? She may have come out a better person than she went in, but she is still very insecure and lacking in self confidence.
Chase has always loved LuAnn, even when she didn't love herself, there was never any question that he would be there for her when she came out of prison. But is she finally ready for them, is this their second chance, can they have the future Chase dreams of?
This is an emotional journey of self discovery for both LuAnn and Chase, there is a lot of family tension and interference, hopes and dreams, heartache and new beginnings. This book almost brings the series full circle and has some very poignant moments.
As with the rest of the series I read this on Kindle Unlimited.

I loved this book, even if I didn’t read the first 6. I love this story of forgiving, the need to earn your mistakes and how to deal with them and by doing that you can move on. This lovely story is also a tale that family is not always defined by blood. The story is about Luann and Chase, who get a second chance at love.
After three long years in prison, LuAnn is walking out to a new life—with no job, no home, and no friends. Except Chase, but even then, she’s treated him like shit, too, so it would be a miracle if he gave her the time of day. Somehow she has to show him she’s a new woman with a clean slate—all she needs is a second chance.

Chase finds himself faced with straddling two worlds. He loves his job and his coworkers after they helped him straighten up his life after he took a bad road. He’s hopeful for LuAnn’s return and wants to offer her the same opportunity, but considering she did time for trying to kill his boss’s wife and unborn child, there’s no way she’ll be welcome in his professional life.
How in the hell can he move them to 'Us' without losing the work family he owes his life to?

Wow, this book was worth the wait. I started this series late and was able to read right through to this one. I admit that when I first met LuAnn, I didn't like her much at all so I wasn't sure how this story was going to play out. It's now three years later and LuAnn has paid her debt but her relationship with Chase is putting a strain on his friendship with Dog and his family.

Ms. Fiala did a good job of redeeming LuAnn in my mind. She was vastly different from the person who went to jail. LuAnn found a mentor in jail and her guidance and teachings gave LuAnn what she needed to start a new life and it was believable. Ms. Fiala didn't pretend that all was forgiven because it wasn't and that was also believable, much like what might happen in the real world. Forgiveness is something that in this case is slow to come for Dog and ironically it's someone else who forgives LuAnn first.

This story is about love and redemption with forgiveness sprinkled in. There were some tearful moments and it was said to say goodbye to Chase and LuAnn but I can see why it had to be this way. I hope we see these characters in the future as I want to see what the future holds for all of them.

Moving on is the story of Chase and LuAnn. This is the first book in the series that I have read, so I was a little behind on the back story, but you can read it as I did and still know what was going on with the storyline. To me that says a lot about the way the story was written.

LuAnn knew that once she was out of prison life would be hard and was glad that Chase was there for her. Emotions are all over the map throughout this story. Chase is the constant in LuAnn's life that helps here make the transition to the real world. Things happen so that Chase needs LuAnn's help, here way of making up for all he has done for her. Helping others always makes us realize the love we have in front of us and the same happened with Chase and LuAnn.

Dog and the crew are hard on Chase and LuAnn, but Joci, the one truly hurt by what LuAnn did is the only one willing to forgive the wrongs of the past.

This story will make you laugh, cry and rejoice. You will learn to like LuAnn and you will love the way that Chase is there for her. I highly recommend this book.

LuAnn is released from prison after spending 3 years for trying to kill Dog's wife and unborn child. She has no job or place to stay other than her sister's and no friends except for Chase. She hasn't treated him very well in the past but he realizes she has changed from her old ways and deserves a second chance. The problem is, Chase works for Dog who has treated him like a son and has helped him get his life in order. Chase knows LuAnn will never be welcomed at Rolling Thunder, a place she used to work at and him being friends with her will cause issues with everyone. They have chemistry and Chase wants to have a relationship but how does he get to that point without alienating everyone.
This is an emotional story of regrets and facing those you hurt and trying to overcome the past and move toward the future. Can they find happiness or will the past tear them apart?

This is a great book, I highly recommend it.

Chase has been in love with LuAnn forever but she never really saw him. She only had eyes for Dog. The only father Chase has ever really known. Dog and the Rolling Thunder family saved his life.
But his heart is divided and LuAnn is his other half. She’s changed. Before she was bitter jealous and she did the unthinkable and Dog almost lost his now wife and baby.
Chase never stopped loving her. She’s beautiful and she takes his breath away with just one look. Her heart is pure now. But could she ever love him?

As she walks out of prison to a new life LuAnn sees things very differently. She sees Chase and his big heart for the first time. He’s the one who’s always been there for her. He’s the one she really loves with her whole heart. But does she deserve happiness after what she did? Could they ever work together with everyone against them?

Chase has kept in contact with LuAnn, visiting her in prison, even though his“family” wants no contact with her after what she tried to do to them. LuAnn has had time to reflect on her past decisions and the results of those actions, wanting to become a better person. Chase wants to stand by her, hoping maybe she will finally see him for who he is just as he sees her for who she is. Will LuAnn make the sins of the past right again? Will Chase lose the people that mean the most to him because of his dedication to LuAnn? This book had all the roller coaster emotions you would expect to see. Forgiveness, compassion, regret, understanding and unwavering support.

As always, the author describes the story so well you feel like you are right along side the characters and not just reading about them in a book. 4 1/2 stars for this latest release in the series.

The idea that you could have done something to cause someone else harm even if you didn’t know anyone would get hurt. You hurt your family and the ultimate price is going to the pen but what happens when you get out? You have no one except the one person you hurt the most. Will he be here? How do you get on with your life when everyone you know can’t stand to look at you? Except Chase, God I’ve thought of him often and hope that he will be able to forgive me, I love him, but he doesn’t know. I never showed him because I didn’t know that I did until it’s too late. Read the book, you won’t be sorry. I recommend this book and the complete series.

Great ending to the series. This is LuAnn and Chase's story. LuAnn is getting out of prison after serving 3 years for almost killing Joci (Dog's wife). Her only friend is Chase who was her on and off again hookups while she was infatuated with Dog. They both realize they have feelings for each other but they still have doubts. Loved seeing how LuAnn changed from the person she was from the beginning and you get a glimpse of how her life was and kinda see why she was how she was. Love Chase it was difficult for him because he wanted to be there for LuAnn but he also didn't want to lose his Rolling Thunder family.
This was a great story. Well-written.

Once again P J has written a story that draws you into the lives of Rolling Thunder We all met LuAnn and Chase in the earlier books and I have to tell you I did not like LuAnn at all as far as I could see she was totally unredeemable but it is a testament to the writing of this author that by the end of these book I was feeling sorry for her and wanted her to get her HEA You will have to read to see if that is with Chase as he needs to find out if she is still obsessed with Dog He will also have to face the fact that being with her could also destroy his connection with his work family because after all she was charged with trying to kill his bosses wife and child Be prepared for a love story like no other and make sure the tissues are handy.

I liked this new LuAnn, the author wrote such a great character arch for her. She learnt her lesson and just wants to move through life with humility.

SPOILERS

Surprisingly... I was disappointed with Chase, especially the scene in the ice cream parlor. For months, he flirted with another woman (Olivia, the owner of said parlor) and then he purposely brings LuAnn there to see how he felt about both women. Why do that to someone who was interested in you and by every indication, you returned the interest? And it really showed LuAnn’s maturity that she called Chase out for it. It just didn’t seem fair to Olivia and even though the author justified it by having Olivia start dating someone else at the end of the book, it was a weird plot point.

I received a free copy of the steamy novel Moving On, Rolling Thunder series Book Seven: Chase and LuAnn by PJ Fiala and this review was given freely.
Emotion packed with hints of steam and a touch of irony. This a story of missed chances realized, regrets, forgiveness, finding Faith and a second chance at love.
Newly freed prisoner LuAnn Mason reunites with her best friend and former lover, motor cycle designer Chase Matthews; she learns to forgive herself for almost killing Joci and Maddie while the Rolling Thunder crew begins the rocky path of coming to terms with her reentry into their lives.

Great book. After spending 3 years in prison, Luann is free. She knows she made mistakes and she has paid for them with her time in prison. She has a clean slate in front of her and she wants to make thw best of it. But how?
She knows she can count on her old flame Chase, but can he believe she has changed her life for the better? Sparks fly and tempers flare as all is not forgiven by some in town. Chase is part of the group in town that can't forget what Luann has done. But he knows she has changed.
Can the two find and answer to make things work between them as well as try to right some of the wrong that Luann has done.
A great book with all the feels.

This was my first book by the author and it was amazing! I have not read the other books in the series, but I don't feel like I missed out on anything since the author did a phenomenal job of making the connections within the book. There was no confusion as to who the characters were or how they were significant in the lives of the main characters LuAnn and Chase. This was a story of growth and maturity, of friendship and love, of support and moving on to bigger and brighter things. The title was perfect for this story of moving on from past actions and planting roots in new places.

I received an advance copy of this book at my request and voluntarily left this review.

Gritty, Starting Over Romance!!

LuAnn is getting out of prison after three years. Her only friend has been Chase. Chase needed a hand up at one point and found it with his boss and now family. Unfortunately, LuAnn’s crime was against that boss/family – so Chase must make some tough decisions.

This is not an “easy” read, but comes across as very realistic. We get under the skin of these characters, and see the changes that have been made. Will events transpire against these two, or will they find their way together?? This one is hard to put down – will keep you guessing.

definitely a series to read

This is an excellent series. The characters are well rounded, the story lines keep your interest, and you will love the “Rolling Thunder family.” I know nothing about motorcycles, but I enjoyed each book of this series. I would suggest reading them in order, but I think they will be enjoyable even if you start the books out of order. My only concern about the series is the lack of safe sex and motorcycle helmets are not worn in any of the books. I think that it is important for authors to take into consideration how impressionable some of their readers may be.

This is an impeccable ending to a superb series. It is not only a second chance to love, but a second chance at life. Luann did something horrible and had to pay the price but once she tries to make amends and reinvent herself she finds that only one person is willing to support her, the man she used and treated badly. This is a story of growth, faith, heartbreak, love, redemption, and starting over. A definite feel-good story, full of hope. I received this as an ARC and voluntarily give my review.

Chase Mathews and LuAnn Mason LuAnn Mason was in prison for 3 years and was released.
Chase stood by her, LuAnn hopes for a second chance after the mess she created, being young and inexperienced in life.
Chase is their for LuAnn, but can he forgive her and help her get on with her life? Also giving them both a chance at happiness.

This book was action packed, romantic, happy ever after, wonderful characters a few twists and turns. I voluntarily agreed to do an honest review when, I received this ARC.

Upon release from prison, LuAnn needs to find her place in the real world again. During the 3 years behind bars, Chase has never given up on her. But Chases life outside of LuAnn involves those that hate her for what she did. Can Chase walk the line between happiness with LuAnn and those that feel like his family? Can LuAnn ever make up for the wrongs from her past? With wonderful characters and a storyline that was both heart wrenching and heartwarming this was a great read. This was my first book in the series and now I need to grab the others that came before and read them as well.

It’s hard to keep my attention nowadays but I found this book both interesting and soothing.

The love this hero has for his woman is beyond words. He’s caring, understanding, forgiving and growing while he’s under a lot of stress to let her go.

The things that she’s done landed her in jail and she took her opportunity to find a new way in life. So she’s making her own growing up. It’s still hard to get out and starting over.

I found so much hope, love and forgiveness in this book. My heart is full.

LuAnn captures our attention in this one especially with how it starts out. Oh yeah this is a second chance too in more ways than one. Chase is the one whom really has some hurdles. He wants to give her a second chance like he had but you also want to see what happens with every road. That is also seeing if Rolling Thunder will be part of it all. This one will gives us great depiction of what happens when forgiveness and healing happens. The road to healing can be bumpy but this is one satisfying trek.
