Short, sweet, and a good ending to the series. Mysteries solved, loose ends tied up, and everyone getting their happily ever after. One mystery was left unsolved, opening the door to resurrecting the series at some point in the future if the author were to ever feel so inclined. Not holding my breath, but hoping for maybe one more book later to tie up that last loose end.
I loved this series and sorry to have it end. I was hoping it would have ended with Henri and Ralph at their wedding with Scott and Olivia's baby there. When Henrietta found out she had a basement under her antique shop with an apartment on the second floor she lived in with her cat. She had Ralph help her bust the wall in the closet under her stairs going up to her apartment to find the stairs. They had the feeling that DWC was involved. Anita Black kept appearing every move Henrietta turned around and even detective Page had someone following him in the police department. After Henrietta and Ralph got in the basement, they were for a huge surprise at what they found and it changed everything from then on out. Especially when Henrietta had Calvin hidden to keep him safe, but Ralph and Scott found out they were bugged. Now YOU have to get the last book to see how Henrietta and Ralph solved their case.
Great finale! The build up over uncovering the Deep Water Corporation’s corruption spanned through the previous several books. In each book, Henrietta and her investigative team got closer and collected more clues to taking the DWC down! There was even a point in this book when Henrietta suspected Abe, the Detective at the police department of being involved somehow with DWC.
Henrietta had a great loss of something very important to her, but in the end she gained something even greater.
I’m sad to say goodbye to the whole Heart’s Grove crew, but at least this book closed out the 12 book series so nicely and without any loose ends or questions from me.
And since I haven’t read anything by Carolyn Brown for awhile even though I adore her books, I have chosen “The Devine Doughnut Shop” by her.
Loved this series! Kept me going thru the entire series of 12 books! They were so intriguing I couldn’t put them down and couldn’t wait to see what was going to happen in the next book. If you love following a really smart sleuth and her “team” trying to help her thwart evil you will really love these books. Can’t wait to see if Ms Collins will bring back Henrietta and the gang with more mysteries afoot!
This kindle e-book novella is from my Kindle Unlimited account book twelve of twelve
Henrietta and Ralph with police family and friends continue to investigate what is going on. Scott uncovers some things that change the investigation leading to the truth and arrest.
I would recommend this series and author to 👍 readers of romantic family and friends relationships mystery novels 👍🔰 2024 👒😀💘
Ever since I began reading this series of all the adventures of Henri and Ralph, I've looked forward to the next one. Every book seemed to be somehow better than the last, all the way to this, the 12 th installment. I really do hope that Ms. Collins keeps thinking up new stories of the happenings in Heart's Grove!!!
The characters are real and identifiable. The emotions, adulting attitudes, clever thoughts, relationships, and searching to find truth. The explanations of who, how, what, and why all find places in the stories to become shared. Each book although separately written came together as a whole. I enjoyed this series very much. Hope eventually there is more.
This, the final entry in a 12 book/novella series, turned out to be full of suspense and intrigue. The series started fairly slow but Collins continued to build on a couple of themes while making the stories good as stand-alones as well. The characters were interesting and likable, evolving with each story line. Good, light reading for a winter's day.
WOW‼️ Great story and a wrap-up of loose ends as well as a sweet as can be lovers ending…or beginning, if you will. I really love how Henrietta and Ralph figured it all out, confronted and put an end to the evil stalking their town for so long. S…i…g…h…Good series!
Love how the author wrapped up the DWC storyline. These characters are so fun to read. Can't wait to see where she takes Henri and Ralph next. Highly recommend this series and author.
As the series ended, I felt a little bit of sadness. I didn’t want the books to end! The whole series was amazing. The ending was even better. It was a great final book to such a fun and easy to read series.
Another cozy mystery series finished. I enjoyed it, though at times, it seemed to take forever to get to the point... I wish Henrietta, Ralph, and the rest of the "family" well and perhaps they'll show up in a follow-up or another series. 😊
This was a wonderful conclusion for this series. I think that the characters got closure and that there weren't many questions left. Definitely enjoyable as a series
