This was an absolutely great guide to dive into your health with a guided mindset. The breakdown of this book is great for beginners and advanced astrological followers. I loved the entry in each section to lay your groundwork and then the break down into each sign, planet, and placement. You will find with this guide you can read it cover to cover and then keep it as a reference piece so you can utilize it in your daily practice. Also each of the signs can be used to reference not only your sun but your moon and rising sign. The artwork in the books is so gorgeous too, you will find yourself just staring at some of the pages for a LONG time. I want to print all of the pictures out and hang them on my wall!

This book was just released April 27th, so snag a copy! Thank you to Stephanie Gailing, Quarto Publishing Group - Wellfleet Press, and NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Self-care has become more important than ever over the last 18 months and I’ve been developing my understanding of various methods of self-care (meditation, daily yoga, etc) throughout the lockdown period.

The Complete Guide to Astrological Self-Care was a really interesting read – pinpointing particular health issues that may affect my star sign and suggesting methods of self-care that might be appropriate.

The author was spot on with several things – allergens (dairy in particular) and a propensity for skin issues (in my case, caused by said dairy)!

I found the Jupiter Return section particularly fascinating, as I wasn’t aware I was in this period of my life but it really does explain why I’ve suddenly become more open to exploring new opportunities both in life and wellness.

The guides to new and full moons for each zodiac sign would also be helpful to refer back to periodically and the reference materials at the back allow you to delve deeper into topics of particular interest.

Recommended for anyone (both new and experienced) who is interested in wellness and looking for a little more self-care in their life.

I received an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I have taken the time to read this book a couple of times, mainly because I found the content interesting; but I also wanted to see how it applied to my own life. As a disclaimer, I have studied Astrology for several decades and dam pretty much aware of how it applies to my own life.

This book is pretty much spot-on with that. It gives full information on each sign (ruling planet, modality, element, etc.) which might not be important to some, but I do think it is vital information to help one understand oneself better, The book then goes on to personal health profile, areas of health focus, etc. Then it focuses on the changes of the planets and how it affects you personally.

I will say that this is a guide, not a bible. It doesn't mean that you have to follow it religiously; but it does give some very good information that one can put to use in your own life. I, for one, am glad that I found this book and will be very happy to add it to my collection.

I was given an advance copy from the publisher and Amazon but this in no way influenced my review.

As a beginner to astrology, I found the book very informative, well-organised and beautifully presented. I think it would make a great coffee table book. The author writes in a very engaging way that is easy to understand as she explains all the key terminology and concepts in astrology. I don’t think I have read another book that explained everything better! Particularly the sections on significant events, moon phases and retrogrades.

One of the interesting (and I believe novel) aspects of this book, is that it covers self-care in terms of physical health. Most astrology books focus on personality traits and psychological self-care. Here, readers get to find out about practical advice in terms of the parts of the body and ailments they should pay attention to, as well as strategies for working on these areas.

Overall a fantastic read, and I look forward to reading other books by Stephanie Gailing.

This book compiles the more specific information on how to eat, move, and use the things recommended for your zodiac sign. As well as insight on moon cycles, planetary retrogrades, and stellar life cycles. I was not familiar with stellar life cycles prior to this book and found this information especially interesting. I think this is a book I would pick up on sale to add to my collection of astrological literature. It's nice to have a quick reference that lays everything out for you. However, it's priced a bit high for what it is in my opinion.

This book offers great and detailed information for the 12 zodiac signs from a wellness perspective. I'm thoroughly enjoyed reading the personal health profile for my sign (and also my friend's signs!), along with the food and exercise tips, and wellness therapies. The descriptions and suggestions for my sign were spot on! I also thought the section of The Moons was particularly interesting, especially the self-care rituals and affirmations for the New and Full Moons. This is a book that you'll keep coming back to over and over again.

I've read a lot of books on astrology and the zodiac over the years. This book was nice enough but it didn't do anything new. The book was beautiful to look and included some interesting detail such as essential oils and yoga poses.
However overall it didn't wow me, or teach me anything new.
Just OK.

This is a very inspiring reference book that I will return to again and again. Combining detailed recommendations for your star sign along with insightful information around moon cycles, retrogrades and also Steller cycles. It helps give you some gentle focus for self care including particular therapies that suit your star sign. An enjoyable read.

I really loved this beautiful book! It's a great combination of practical advice and inspiring writing. It gives a basic education for the person who knows nothing about astrology or alternative healing but the tips and advice are sophisticated enough for the person who knows a lot. I'm buying a few for the mother's in my life this month!

This has some great ideas, good for a beginner or more advanced person. Giving different advice for each zodiac sign which will work for you. This is easy to use and to understand. A great book to have around fr future reference or to design your own self-care practices regularly.
My 16-year-old daughter also found this very useful.

Forgot to mark this as read. Fun book, I've always been interested in Astrology so the in depth look at each sign is really interesting. Plus I learned about Sun, Moon, and rising signs and that my best friends Sun sign is my Moon sign and that's why we complete each other. Lol Anyway, fun reference book to read through and journal your astrology discovery yourself!

I was excited by this, but I’m afraid it didn’t live up to my expectations. It didn’t seem to have anything new in that I hadn’t learnt from these types of books before.

Thank you NetGalley for my complimentary copy in return for my honest review.

Good addition for those wanting a more rounded look at your sign and the other signs. Can be worked into other workings if astrology is a focus or earnings for the reader.

I can't get enough of all astrology books lately and this one was no different. I love seeing what kinds of self care are good for different signs, and I found them to be very accurate.
