Excellent read! McIntyre paints a picture that makes you feel that you are right here. She makes you fall in love with the characters.

Gesa Sloan is the type of person I'd be friends with. She's strong, smart, and determined, but most importantly, she'll do anything for the people she loves, and that's the trait that carries her from NY society to the wilds of Colorado and beyond. Some of her experiences were hard to read, but they were important because they made her the person she is by the end of the book. I also couldn't get enough of the Charles!

You will absolutely be swept up in this historical adventure!
