I absolutely adore this little book! From the sweet, beautiful illustrations, to the gentle, comforting words, to the affirmations, inspiring journal prompts, and "prayers". This book is very approachable. While I may not fully agree with every detail of this book on a "spiritual" level, I found it easy to gently float over those few things, without any offense. I was sad when I finished the book because I enjoyed it so much, however, it is one I will continue to return to! Thank you for this lovely book!

✨ "While we often seek approval from others with whom we share our worlds, our own self-approval is the most fortifying, life-changing love and acceptance we could ever receive."

I love Meredith Gaston's art and will pick up anything she publishes because her books are always so calming and soothing. They are also so pretty to look at!

However, the content in this one was a bit lacking and very repetitive. There were some good reminders but nothing you can't find elsewhere or that hasn't been said before.

A beautifully gentle read filled with grounding reminders and soft, nurturing wisdom. This book felt like a warm cup of tea, simple, calming, and precisely what you didn’t know you needed in the moment 🍃✨💆‍♀️

The illustrations are gorgeous, soft, whimsical, and soothing. They give the book a warmth and charm that makes every page feel like a little moment of calm in itself 🎨💛✨

I loved how each section offered something small but meaningful to reflect on, without ever feeling overwhelming. The affirmations, reflections, and gentle nudges toward slowing down were comforting and practical, especially during busy or emotionally heavy seasons.

It didn’t quite hit the life-changing level for me, but it definitely left me feeling lighter, more centred, and more connected to myself. A lovely little companion for anyone wanting to build a gentler rhythm in their daily life 📖🌿

Book 6 • Beautiful. Firstly I must acknowledge how incredibly beautiful this book has been published. The cover, bookmark, typesetting, colour and small illustrations throughout are absolutely beautiful and give you JOY. At Home Within is all about the title.. finding and creating a home inside of yourself.. so that no matter where you are or what kind of situation you are in.. you can always go home. There are little ‘prayers’ or maybe you would call them ‘mantras’, affirmations and journal prompts throughout the book so you can put what you’re reading into practice. A book about self love, self care and how we can build our home within. A book you can constantly refer back to and pull little pieces here and there when you need some prompting. Beautiful.

I really enjoyed the journal prompts, though I feel like the chapter content was often very vague and wishy-washy advice. Lovely aesthetic though and very high vibing; reading it felt like an act of self care, so I think it did its job.
