A cute little read, I’d rate this a 3.5-4. Nice to have both ball and drag terms here and nice illustrations. Just would have been nice to showcase more drag art from outside of drag race and more drag kings
This was such a pleasure to read. Witty, joyful, and insightful. A real page-turner either for any Drag Race fan or people fascinated by the drag culture.
Even if you watch RuPaul's Drag Race, this dictionary is still a solid reference. More than that, with the context provided and the amazing illustrations, this book feels EMPOWERING - not exploitive. Highly recommended.
This book covers a wide range of concepts and phrases used in drag culture. It explains things for those unfamiliar, showcasing many types of drag beyond just what’s currently mainstream. Accompanied by great artwork, it’s a fantastic resource for anyone wanting to learn more about drag.
