Billionaire businesswoman, June St. Claire, is ready to tackle her next big project—finding a husband. She knows she’ll never fall head-over-heels in love again, like she did with her late husband, but a best friend and partner is just what she needs. Inspired by the TV show, The Catch, she heads to Little River and tackles this project like all business proposals … Sending out applications and setting up interviews to pick the perfect guy.
Little River police chief, Wyatt Call, has zero interest in filling out a marriage application, even if June does catch his eye when she arrives to town. But after a hit to the head knocks him out cold, he starts seeing June’s late-husband, Lucas, everywhere he goes. Even more strange, Lucas is advising Wyatt how to woo June.
As Wyatt and June grow close, she’s scared to let herself fall in love for a second time. Even if Wyatt seems to say and do all the exact right things. Can she find a way to truly move on, or will Lucas’s memory always stand between June and Wyatt?
During her early years of reading, Ranee` S. Clark devoured fantasy books, which continued into her adulthood—since she often believes that a well-written romance novel is a delightful fantasy. Though raising three boys can sometimes hamper both romance with her own Mr. Charming and her writing, she tries to get a little of both in every day. And most of the time she succeeds.
Billionaire businesswoman June St. Claire is a widow and doesn't think she'll ever find love like she had with her late husband Lucas again; she'll settle for someone she can be friends with. After watching Coy Jones find his match in Little River on The Catch, and hearing about others who found love in the small town, June decides to find a husband there.
Wyatt Call, the police chief of Little River isn't interested in filling out an application to be someone's husband no matter how beautiful the woman may be. While at the town's diner he sees June and realizes June St. Claire is the former Junie Bailey, his college roommate's wife! As June and Wyatt get closer, she has doubts and flies back home. Thankfully Wyatt doesn't let too much time go by before he follows her to convince her he's sincere and is able to bring her back to Little River.
I really liked this story and that June (Junie) and Wyatt had a previous connection, because I love second chance at love stories. This one gets a little help from in an unusual way, but I'm not going to spoil it for those who haven't read the book, but it's a fun twist. Another great love story for the residents of Little River.
I received a complimentary copy through StoryOrigin. All thoughts expressed in my review are my own.
I found this to be a very sweet romcom. June is a widowed billionaire and is ready to find love again. But she doesn’t want to deal with all the hassle of extensive dating. She she has her assistant and lawyer create and application for guys to fill out. Anyone she has interest in gets a video date for the first date and then she contacts them after that if she wants to know more. I love how she finds her ultimate forever. This is definitely a looking for love in all the wrong faces but finding it where you least expect it. It was very fun and cute to read. I loved this second chance at love again. Narrator Lisa Lynn Sandlin does great at conveying the emotions and bringing this story to life. It just felt right as she was reading it. I laughed and cheered for June the whole book.
This is such a fun series. June is a strong, independent woman, who knows what she wants. Wyatt is the local police chief. He was also June's late husband's college roommate. When they meet up again the chemistry is strong. There are a few problems standing in their way. I don't want to spoil the fun. I'll just let you read it yourselves.
June St. Clair is a sweetheart with a fiery personality. With a strong business sense that has made her a billionaire businesswoman, she can tackle anything- that includes finding a new husband. Ranee Clark created a story that has me as the reader routing for June to find her second half of forever. The characters are well-developed and I loved reading about their path to their future together. Wyatt Call is just as great a character as June St. Clair.
This story about these two of them written in the world of Little River created a little more longing to enter the world that Ranee Clark made. This little town in Wyoming is a place of happiness and belonging. A place every romantic would want to join.
Ranee S. Clark has done a beautiful job with this installment in her Love in Little River series. The characters from past books all come to play in this story, along with a new face who quickly finds she fits right in with these wonderful people. Little River is a dream of a small town and the setting is beautiful. Initially, the pretense for this story sounded a little weird: a late husband coaching the man who is dating his widow, but the execution of the story is well done. Having lost a sister and watched her husband remarry, I am very sensitive to treatments of this situation in a romance novel; Clark pulled this one off in a sweet and very satisfying manner. I appreciate that the first spouse is not loved any less or forgotten when the second spouse enters the picture - this element is very important to me. Kudos!
I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

I have enjoyed going to Little River, Wyoming with each title in the series. The plots are fun and written creatively. This had a nice little spin on a story of a widow finding love again. I enjoy some past characters make cameos. It brings a bit of realistic feel to the book. The characters are very likable and relatable. Good dilaogue & nice flow to the story. I'd welcome more titles in this series for sure. A fun & relaxing read but still written well story.
June and Wyatt I like that they knew each other already and felt protective of each other. I like the funny situations they have and that they dont avoid talking about her dead husband. I felt it was well written and fit with the other books in the series. Great humor. Sweet romance.
Oh my goodness . . . . who gets a second chance at an amazing marriage after your husband dies? June is just happy to have a man she gets along with — after all she does need the money a new marriage could give her. Can she have another forever love?? SUPERB BOOK!!!
Magic in Little River! Every time I read a Little River Book, I love the town more and more! There was a nice little husband hunting twist to June’s story. Having found love once, June wants to marry again. She doesn’t expect love, just friendship and companionship. However, Lucas, June’s dead husband, thinks she deserves more. Wyatt thinks he’s going crazy. Why is he seeing and hearing Lucas? Will Lucas help bring June and Wyatt together? Or will he end up being a wedge in their relationship? A sweet story of loving after loss. Cant wait for more love in Little River! I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.
There wasn't a whole lot of conflict in this book, so it didn't have a ton of depth, but it was a fun, sweet romance. Good choice if you're looking for a quick read that will make you smile. 3.5 stars. I read an ARC provided by the author. All opinions are my own.
The magic of Little River is at it again with the story of June St. Claire a billionaire widow who is looking for companionship. June's already had her one true love story, so for the rest of the her life she'd just settle with a partner she gets a long with, someone to talk to and share some of life's experiences with. Inspired by Coy Jones love match in Little River, and every other celebrity she's read about, she's hoping that just a little bit of that magic will work for her game plan. Little does she know what this delightful little town has in store for her thanks to a handsome sheriff, Wyatt Call, and the special influence from her deceased husband on the other side.
This book might just be my favorite of the Little River series. I have loved all the others, enjoyed the stories so much, but this one had a whole new factor of being close to reality for me. The experiences that June faces, and Wyatt as well, I feel could ring true to many readers brining a whole new understanding for the audience, and a desire to see their story through to the end. June is a confident, strong, energetic and knowledgeable woman who knows what she wants. She's smart, strategic and ready to take a new step in life. Wyatt is a caring, strong and handsome sheriff who is just the guy for June. Just not what either of them had planned originally for themselves.
Ranee S. Clark enters a sensitive subject for some readers with this book: a deceased spouse and looking to remarry. As sensitive as it is, I thought she handled it beautifully and I love how she ties it all together. Where some might find the method unusual, I find it touching, and even more true to life as I'm sure some readers have experienced something similar themselves. I love the characters, I love the story and I love the ending. Did I tell you how much I loved the ending? I really did and may have even shed a tear or two. Clark did a great job with book five in the Little River series and I can't wait to read her next one!
*I received a complimentary copy from the author and publishers. A review was not required and all opinions and ideas are my own.
This book was great; a short, sweet, 2nd chance romance with a female billionaire twist. Even though it was book 5 in the Love in Little River Series, I didn’t feel like I was confused since I hadn’t tread the others. I did feel, however, that I want to go back and read them now.
A widow who had put all of her energy into developing businesses, decides it is time for her to get back into the world of people, especially marriage. She’s ready. Her approach was unconventional and the results bring some difficulties.
I liked the way they navigated small town charm, deceased spouse understanding, and open communication.
I listened to the audiobook and really enjoyed the narration by Lisa Lynn Sandlin.
Super cute and sweet story. Each of these stories just builds this amazing fictional town that just seems so real! The magic of the town and the way it brings people together is a wonderful premise! Excellent writing.

My Opinion: June’s idea is very interesting, I will open applications to see who wants to marry me lol. But the story is sweet and cute.
I am not sure when I listened to a book quite like this one before. The story contains hilarious red ribbon-bedecked chicken shenanigans, super stars, billionaires, small town, found family, comedy, emotional tenderness, and a bit paranormal. Ranee stirred all these ingredients together and produced one spectacular read or listen.
The narrator, Lisa Lynn Sandlin gives a great performance and is easy to listen to.
There are no swears or alcohol and level 1 kisses only.
June, a successful business woman, lost her husband to cancer. After some time she decides it's time to find love again. Wyatt didn't sign up for a date with June. Then Wyatt starts seeing and hearing June's dead husband -- who he was friends with. Will June find her chance at love again? A clean romance.
Sweet second chance romance. June had a loving marriage, but her husband dies. Having seen several others find love in Little River, she comes to try her luck. There is a slow build as we learn about her past relationships. There is a friendly ghost who reminds June and Will about the past. I liked the pacing, the character development and the setting. I will look for more by this author.
This was a really sweet story that choked me up from the sweetness of June's husband coming to assist in making sure she has a happily ever after. Also made me laugh. Enjoyed it very much.
but this one is my favorite. The epilogue actually brought tears. Having grown up in WY myself, it is fun to read some of the common things said and the descriptions of the area are well done.
At first I thought this book might be a little cheesy with Wyatt seeing a ghost and all but it actually turned out very cute and was portrayed in the least cheesy way possible. I love the growing feelings between June and Wyatt and the relationship that was already there from the past. It was also fun to catch up with the other characters in Little River and see what they're up to now.
I really enjoyed Wyatt and June's story. This is a sweet short story with fun characters. I enjoyed the voice of Luke throughout the story with his encouragement. This is a sweet, clean romance.
These days I’m a big fan of sweet rom-coms that don’t require me to think too much, but take me somewhere else. This book did just that. What a sweet read!
