Hannah has arrived in Porthgolow, the picture-postcard Cornish village that’s impossible not to fall in love with. Hannah thinks she has been here before as a small child, but when she calls her mum to ask her about it, she remains tight-lipped. Hannah’s interest is piqued further when the hotel’s staff and customers report odd noises and sightings, believing the hotel to be haunted. Never able to resist a mystery, Hannah’s investigation reveals something quite unexpected…
I grew up in London surrounded by books and with a cat named after Lawrence of Arabia. I studied English Literature at the University of East Anglia and live in Norwich with my husband David.
I'm a total book nerd and my TBR pile is out of control. I would quite like to be a ghost hunter, and I'm a huge fan of a fictional hero.
When I'm not writing, I spend my spare time reading, returning to London or exploring the beautiful Norfolk coastline.
I love hearing from readers, so please get in touch if you have a question or if you just want to say hello.
This was released at midnight & I couldn't wait to start reading the next installment of the festivities in Porthgolow!
Colleagues Hannah & Noah try to summon the spirits of Anna & Edward when they hold their seance, will they too be a repeat of the ill fated couples love triangle?
These are such fabulous little quick reads, just a shame I now have to wait 2 weeks for the next installment because it finished right on a proper cliffhanger! 😱
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
Book 2 of a 4 part book series. Note to readers, you can either read/listen to this as a 4 part book series like I’m going to or there is a full length novel which includes all of the 4 parts should you prefer to read it in that format.
I’ve thoroughly enjoyed part 2 to this series, been lovely getting to know Hannah and Noah so much more, there are some definite sparks flying between those two, but Hannah is hesitant because of someone called Beth in Noah life, and rightly so, I mean who is Beth. Hannah hasn’t asked Noah and Noah hasn’t offered up the answer himself. Hopefully we’ll find out the answer to that in part 3 of this series.
I’m also loving the ghostly mystery element that is surrounding Cornish village of Porthgolow and the Crystal Waters hotel featuring a love triangle with tragic ending which took place many years ago in the past. Can’t wait to see how that plans out in part 3, is there really a ghost haunting the Crystal Waters hotel or is something else behind all the weird occurrences! Can’t wait to find out.
Final note, loving the narrator for this series, she is doing a super grand job.
Book 2 in the series kept the mystery coming. I am still none the wiser about Noahs mysterious issues although I imagine he may have split with his other half and that's what he is currently negotiating? I will have to find out the answer in book 3! I loved the ghost story, I want to find out whether there is any truth to Anna's tale or if all the ghostly goings on are all imagined.
I flew through this second part and am off to read the final two parts in this saga!
Part two of a brilliant story. I’ve loved getting to know more about Hannah and Noah and feel like there’s so much more to come in parts 3 and 4. I can’t wait.
Couldn’t wait to read the second part. So much that I read it in one sitting, was disappointed that I have to wait to read what will happen to Hannah and Noah going forward. Lovely relationships formed with Charlie and Daniel and gertie and the village which is all surrounding the cream tea bus.
Part 2 of the Cornish Cream Tea Christmas and i just enjoy reading about all the places i visited in Cornwall on my 3 holidays there in 1989, 1990 & 1991 - especially Newquay as that is where we were based.
