Humans are killing fae.

I was put in charge of stopping The Experiment before they wipe out our kind, and I’d rather take my chances alone than work alongside Nikolai Sterling.

This is not what I signed up for when I stepped into the role of fae leader.

Nikolai is arrogant, charming, and a thorough pain in my ass. He knows exactly how to make my heart race, which infuriates me to no end. What infuriates me more is how much I secretly like it.

But I can’t cross that line. Can’t let him get close.

Not when the growing attraction I feel for a man who drives me nuts isn’t my biggest problem—The Experiment is. They want the fae dead, and I’ll die to stop that from happening.

Maybe that will keep Nikolai from discovering secrets I need to keep buried.

Twisted Desire is of novella length and features at its centre, Skylar and Nikolai.
I did enjoy this but also had some slight issues which I will get into shortly, Sky and her take no prisoners attitude is a breath of fresh air and Nikolai I just absolutely adore anyway with his cheeky charmer personality what's not to love about him.
This follows on from the previous two stories and basically continues the war between the Fae and the experiment.
What I really liked about this was that I felt the connection between these two was ever so easy to believe and I really enjoyed how they both connected together.
The overall dynamic here was fabulous.
We also get to delve deeper into what makes Skylar the Fae she is and when I realised her back story I just got her and the way she behaves around others so much more than I originally did.
Basically its a form of self-preservation and shes really good at it.
This was also really heartfelt and so emotional in places.
So now for my issues, I felt that I jumped into this story midstream and the start of this seemed kind off lopped off.
I am aware of there beginnings here but would have liked to experience it as a spectator rather than just having it told to me as second-hand information as part of Triston and Auroras book.
I felt that Sky and Nik deserved their time in the spotlight also.
It almost felt like a huge chunk of the story was missing.
This was also wrapped up much too swiftly in my opinion.
I also would have liked to see the Fae acting less humane and tolerant of the ignorant humans.
I think that this really needed to be slightly longer with an extended start and finish as the middle here was ever so great.
I also would have liked to have been given an epilogue as well.
This still has plenty to recommend it and is an interesting and imaginative take on the Fae.
There are surprises to be had here: one I wish was explored in more depth.
If I had been Nik I would have wanted more answers than I had got I also thought this was a missed opportunity in terms of story development, I am being deliberately vague here to avoid spoiling this you will realise what I am on about when you read it.
This does need to be read in order as there's an ongoing story that continues through all three books.
I wanted to read this one because Nikolai is hands down my favourite character out of this entire series.
Still, adore him though I would have liked to experience some of this from his POV also.
What made this for me was the emotional side of things and this had plenty of that.
I voluntary reviewed a copy of Twisted Desire.

I look forward to each new visit to the Twisted world for the snarky and witty characters, the chemistry (romantic or otherwise), and the unique world of fae on Earth. Each installment is better than the last and Twisted Desire delivers and then some.

Taking place in the two year gap between the main story of Twisted Gift and the epilogue, we get the PoV of Skylar Chen, Tristan’s secretary and fellow fae. I loved Skylar in the first two books, deadpan serious, but loyal to her friends and her kind, helping Aurora in her journey. Due to events in Twisted Gift, she’s taking over for Tristan, trying to stop a fae-killing organization before it’s too late. She’s forced to work with longtime enemy Nikolai Sterling, a relationship that’s gotten a bit more…complicated as of late. Skylar has to wrestle with some past demons, and I love how she handles them and comes back from them stronger.

The supporting cast from the first two books get to shine, and it’s clear that Tristain and Aurora weren’t the only ones holding everything up, all back with their snark, wit and awesome chemistry I look forward to and come to expect. New additions were also a pleasant surprise, like Jackson and Monica and while we don’t get to know them long, they had a lasting impact.

Most of the story this time takes place away from Rockdale and is in the form of a road trip. The pacing is excellent and fast paced with great twists and cliffhangers to get you to read one more chapter and kept me glued to the story, and I finished it in a day. The action scenes are tight, and the character building scenes have that snappiness that’s just right. I love the plot and the world, and while we don’t have much about the war that destroyed the fae world and forced them to emigrate to earth, there’s little nuggets that leave you to picture what might have happened.

As a warning, there’s a scene depicting sexual assault in chapter nine. It was handled seriously and it’s clearly not viewed as sexy, but as the abhorrent act that it is.

I loved the ending and I’m a bit sad that the Twisted series is coming to an end, but they will always have a special place in my heart and I welcome more of Elliott’s writing.

An exciting ending to the Twisted series! Jessi does it again with tons of action, sassy dialogue and playful banter, and heart pumping romance. I loved Skylar as the main character, her character voice was so unique and so her. I loved her emotional arc and it all made me swoon for Nikolai even more. I wanted to know more about Jax's plans for The Experiment and what was going to become of Nik and Aaron at the end, but otherwise, this was a perfect read!

My heart is so so full. I am blown away by the story that Jessi has created within the Twisted World and I am devastated that this is the end of the journey with these characters. If you have not already devoured this series, I highly recommend you push it to the top of your TBR. It is steamy, filled with action and romance, and is 100% binge-worthy.

This little novella was the perfect conclusion to the Twisted series. With jaw dropping twists, lustful romance, and charismatic characters, Twisted Desire proved to be a quick, fun, and entertaining read.

The story takes place a year and a half after Skyler wiped Tristan’s and Aurora’s memories, and now with the help of her annoyingly charming counterpart, Nikolai, the two must work together to put a stop to The Experiment, all while managing their own love/hate relationship. Out of all the books of the series, no title has ever fit as perfectly to the storyline as Twisted Desire does. Written in Skyler’s point of view, we get to see inside her head as she struggles with the differing emotions playing out in her heart, and walk along with her as she works to figure out what she truly desires.

In the past, her and Nikolai’s relationship could be described as a complicated version of friends with benefits, or perhaps more appropriately frenemies with benefits. But after losing some of her best friends to this war with The Experiment, she has to open her eyes to who has been there for the her most. But something stops her from opening up to him fully, a nightmare experience from a past relationship. As the story progresses, we get to understand what Skyler’s been through and even how her friendship with Tristan and Max originated.

In contrast to how Aurora’s and Tristan’s romance quickly erupted in Twisted Fate and Twisted Gift, in Twisted Desire, we get to witness the slow progression between Skyler and Nikolai, which I think lends to the story that much more because we get to experience that burning desire grow more and more as they get closer.

It can be hard for novellas to present the story in a way that encompasses all the necessary information while still creating a heart pounding storyline, but Jessi Elliott does this perfectly in Twisted Desire. Throughout the book, we’re reminded about important details from the past two books, enough to refresh our memories, but not so much that will make you go, “Yeah, yeah, we get it.” By spreading out these details, Jessi is able to jump right into the action without missing a step.

While there were moments that I felt that the characters got through to the next stage a little too easily, it never presented any real big issues in the plot. It definitely had enough of a story to be expanded into a full length novel, but I think that writing it in this novella length allowed Jessi to eliminate a lot of the fluff that may have been there, which makes for an action packed story.

You’ll never want to put this down, and weighing in at just under 150 pages, the length makes it easy to keep it in your hands, especially when you come across all the unique twists and turns that I honestly did not expect to see.

I decided to give Twisted Desire five stars because of the way it roped me into the storyline and was the perfect balance between action and romance, with twists and turns that will leave your heart twisted in it’s own unique way.

Twisted Desire is set between the last chapter and the epilogue of Twisted Gift. It gives us the time after Tristan and Aurora were put into their Fae Protection Plan, letting us know how Skylar and Nikolai were as they took The Experiment on to finish this war.

I will start off by saying that I have been waiting for this book since the last one came out in September of 2018. As much as I loved how Twisted Gift ended for Tristan and Aurora, I was really interested to find out how Nikolai and Skyler were able to take care of both the Fae and handling The Experiment. And I can genuinely say that Twisted Desire did not disappoint.

It was fantastic to have Skylar's point of view with this book because it let us get to know the prickly Fae a little better as she took on the mantel of being the leader of the Dark Fae to Nikolai's leading the Light Fae. Mix in the fact that they're striving to have their people accept the dissolved titles of light and dark, trying to become one people in the face of the threat their whole race faces, as well as the tension between them as they inch around the growing relationship between them and it makes for a read that you don't want to put down.

Learning about Skylar's past has left me with a new respect for the character, and caused me to root for her all the harder in this book. It was also nice to see that more serious, leader side of Nikolai as he helped Skyler lead the fae as they worked to take down The Experiment and save their people as they could in the process.

The plot kept the story moving, pushing forward with the ever-present danger The Experiment held over them as they worked to bring this war as an end. There are also several twists and turns that I didn't see coming that kept me from wanting to put the book down for a second, even to just sleep.

Disclaimer: I did receive an arc of the book in exchange for my honest, unbiased opinion. All thoughts are my own, and were not colored for receiving the arc.

Twisted Desire is the last novella where returning characters from the first two novellas come in to play, where the war between the Fae and The Experiment are finally coming to a head, its all up to a coin toss as to who will win this final battle. Jessi Elliott has finished up her fae world in Twisted Desire, I was enraptured with the first two books, but this one felt rushed and a little repetitive as far as what each character did in this book, don't get me wrong I was glad to finally see how the characters that I have come to love and hate turned out in the end, but I feel there could have been more to this one.

Sky and Nate have been leading up to the final battle, the final push to wipe out the Experiment's strongholds and finally have the peace they want, but will that all be for not? With so many causality on both sides of battle who will come out stronger and on top?

Can Sky and Nate give in to the urges that they have been evading for the past year and live for themselves for a change, and find the love they so desperately need and want with each other, or will this battle drag them apart? You will have to read more to find out, but make sure you Read Twisted fate and Twisted Gift as well.

I can’t believe we are here already. It seemed like a couple of months have passed since the release of Twisted Fate but it’s been over a year already. The Twisted Series comes to an end and I don’t think I’m ready for it.

Sky was a badass bitch fae that was capable of anything she put her head into. She prefers her privacy and we get to see why she is the way she is. Her background was amazing and made me love and understand her all the better.

Nick was hilarious. I mean, to be able to pester Sky the way he did and still managed to make her fall in love with him was fantastic. Not only that, he’s is truly a beautiful fae and wants what’s best for the race, as long as Sky is alive and with him.

The writing was well done. I have no complains there and the pacing was good too, even though it felt a little rush in parts. I can’t exactly explain why but I feel like Jessi Elliott could have made this book longer. Now, the fact that this is a novella plays with the short amount of pages.

I’m trying not to get into spoilery territory because it’s easier when the book is short but instead, I’ll tell you I would like another novella about Allison and Oliver in the future *wink*

Disclaimer: I received an ARC copy of this book.
Thank you Jessi Elliott!

Disclaimer: I won this book from the author.

I liked the story, but it should have been printed before the epilogue that ended book 2. I find it hard to believe the main characters apparently spent 18 months doing nothing. Nobody did surveillance on the known Experiment facilities. They didn't even know where most of the buildings were located until a brand new character gave them a list. Then, they decided to immediately attack without doing any reconnaissance. That seems out of character for the organized Skylar. While it was nice finding out how Skylar met Tristan and Max, her whole backstory came out of nowhere. The twist with Nikolai's past was good.

Continuity problems:
Book one established that "Fae World" was destroyed long before Tristan's birth. Tristan's great great grandfather had been the Dark Fae leader on Earth years after the fae were forced to move there. However, in book three, Skylar mentions she, Max, and Tristan all lost their parents in the war that destroyed their world, implying they were all born on the other world.
When did Nikolai and Skylar's sex life drive Tristan and Aurora crazy? Neither of them knew Nik and Sky were involved.

Twisted Desire is the third book in the Twisted series! First off I love Fae and all things in the Fae world! This book takes place in the two years between the last chapter and epilogue of Twisted Gift! It sounds a little complicated, but it's not! I highly recommend you go back and read that same Epilogue when you finish this book/novella.

This story focuses on Nik and Sky, both of whom I love. They are confident, secure, and downright cocky Fae leaders that work perfectly together. Sky tries to have a singularly sexual relationship with Nik but it as hard as she fights it has to be more! In the midsts of the ultimate war between Fae and Humans there is still witty banter, building stronger friendships, and romance!

Jessi did a great job blending all these elements!

I enjoyed her writing style and detail to characters. My biggest complaint with this book is I wish there were more pages to read!

Maybe Alexa Riley has spoiled me rotten, but I would have loved another Epilogue or Three! I'm not sure if there will be another book, but I believe this is the last that will take place in this world! If I'm wrong, I will be sure to update! I cannot wait for Jessi's next series!

This is the finale to the Twisted Series and lord have mercy I loved it! It really had it all in it and there were times when I was reading when I really wanted to know what was Skylar's issue. She is in control of the fae and she has it all or so she thought. She knew she was going to have to fight the Experiment but she never knew it was going to be so hard.

To make matters worse she has Nikolai to help her and he gets under her skin in all the wrong ways. He is so infuriating that she wants to kill him but she knows she needs his help. She knows she needs all the help she can get to help her destroy the Experiment. As Skylar and Nikolai gather others to help them in the fight Skylar is going to have to do everything in her power to take them down.

Will Skylar and Nikolai bring down the Experiment? You have got to read this finale novella for the conclusion and so much more between Nikolai and Skylar.

Nikolai Sterling has stolen my heart! Sorry, Tristian but you have to step aside for a moment! I loved this novella because you got to see Skylar in her element. From the moment she was introduced in Twisted Fate I knew I liked this girls sass and ability never to take anyone's shit! The relationship that has developed from the small interactions we see of Sky and Nik in the last book is beautifully fleshed out, and I really appreciated that — learning about Sky's past and how she has dealt with the aftermath of the previous book was wonderfully crafted. If you are a fan of the Twisted series, you need to read this novella!

I was so excited that we were getting Sky and Nikolai’s story and this novella did not disappoint. I love how tough Sky is but I am also glad we got to see some of her vulnerable side And she finally admitted she felt so much for Nikolai. Nikolai has been one of my favorite characters since the earlier books and I just love his charm and wit. Together it seems like they should be like oil and water but opposites do attract and they are perfect for each other.
