“Want another finger?”
“No,” she breathes. “Don’t.”
“Cock, then.”

ALPHA ASSHOLE ALERT!!!

I have been DYING for the second instalment of Zeus and Brigit's story since I devoured Richer Than God.

Well damn! Amelia did not let me down! I cannot even begin to tell you how much I LOVED this story! DEVOURED it in one sitting. I couldn't stop once I finished. Well, maybe I paused to scream and yell and possibly also praise Amelia for certain scenes in this book. THIS BOOK has one of the hottest scenes I've read this year! Pussy slaps? YES. FUCKING. PLEASE. DAMMMMMN!!

Sweeter Than Sin was everything I LUST in a dark, dirty, sexy romantic suspense! There were times I wanted to throw my kindle, but mostly I found myself aroused. Not going to lie. Amelia's story telling is the stuff wet dreams are made of.

THE. END.

SWEETER THAN SIN is the second in an intense new trilogy from USA Today bestselling author Amelia Wilde. Richer Than God must be read first.

ALL MY REVIEWS CAN BE FOUND ON MY BLOG: ABSTRACT BOOKS

line

'Sweeter than Sin' is the second book of the 'Richer than God' Trilogy. Zeus and Brigit are back with even more fire!

This book picks up right where the first one ended. Brigit has been kidnapped by Zeus's enemies. No matter how much he denies, this time Zeus cannot let her go. He has to protect her all the while admitting that she is more than the woman whom he purchased for business. Zeus is the perfect anti-hero for me! I loved every scene in which he made an appearance and his ruthlessness , coldness and hotness made me highlight half the damn book .

Brigit is the perfect match for him. She hates him , yet still wants his brand of torture. She can't help but fall for him when he shows her a little bit of himself. Their chemistry was amazing and I absolutely loved the strength Brigit possessed! The book was full of danger and mystery , keeping me at the edge of my seat for the whole time and making me enjoy every word right from the start to the very end!

A definite recommendation to all the dark Romance lovers who would love an Antihero that makes you yearn for him , all the while being the world's greatest asshole!

Suspenseful, dark and sinfully decadent, Sweeter than Sin is a real page-turner. This second instalment in the series kept me on the edge of my seat until the last page.

The action continues from where the first instalment left off, and it packs a lot of heat. Brigit is in need of a saviour, but can Zeus be the man she requires!? Can she be more important to him than his business!? Things take an even darker tone. We get to see a different side of Zeus, his soul is scarred by years of enduring his father's cruel treatment and his has learned that getting attached to any woman will only end in death and heartache. Even after his father's demise he still can't shake the demons that are plaguing him, always present in the back of his mind, reminding him that he's meant to be alone. But there's something that inevitably drawn him to Brigit. She looks fragile at first, but there's fire burning in her veins and she seems to have a dark side too, and that's exactly why she's perfect for Zeus.

This book is action-packed, intense and such an awesome emotional ride and that ending left me begging for more. GAAAHHH I need the next book soon. Once again Amelia Wilde has enthralled me with all the feels she has poured into this story. Can't wait to see what happens next!

Amelia Wilde made my heart explode. Sweeter Than Sin was a crazy ride. She delivered what I wanted from this dark romance and then some more. The intriguing and jaw dropping storyline. Unbelievable chemistry. A complicated alpha antihero and an even more complex heroine with sass. All in a shiny delicious package of her beautiful writing.

Brigit has been taken from under Zeus' protection. The all powerful, dangerous and brutal man ruling the city with money and fear. He has to get her back but then what? Can he admit he has developed an all consuming need for a woman he has purchased for his business? Will Brigit be the same under all the trials? What about the enemies lurking in the shadows, wanting to destroy Zeus?

Now Zeus is who I call a proper antihero. Amelia Wilde didn't spare him a single bit of light. Cruel. Merciless. Cold hearted. Violent. Unkind. But she also left those tiny windows to his soul open to us. Through those windows I could see a man too much in pain. His life was hell since first day. And he was shaped into this heartless monster but somewhere deep in heart he still feels guilt and repent and remorse. He is a man on mission to play his part in this crooked and corrupt world till the last moment. Brigit threw him out of the loop. This woman is a conundrum. She is strong but broken. She hates Zeus but also wants his love and his brand of torture. She is fierce and determined and I respect her resilience. They have a mindblowing chemistry. I was so deep into their mind games. The tension was so strong and unnerving. It was about pleasure and punishment. About dominance and surrender. The constant push and pull was so delicious. And it was dirty, filthy, deviant and mindlessly blissful. The story was so devious with the twists and turns and it was pure torture. All I wanted was to Zeus admit her love and Brigit get her happily ever after. But a lot of conspiracies, deception, power plays and dangerous obstacles are waiting for them. That's make it even sweeter.

There was nothing sweet or simple about Sweeter Than Sin by Amelia Wilde. It was heartbreaking and steamy. It was everything I crave in a great dark romance.

Sweeter Than Sin is the second book in Zeus and Brigit’s story and I’m left on the edge of my seat!

Straight out the gate, this story starts off right where Richer Than God ends. This dark romance overflows with suspense, lust, compassion, intrigue, heartbreak, and love, all brewed together to make this story a dirty and captivating quick read. This isn’t a story of complete redemption, but rather a story of a woman’s sensual awakening and her journey with a conflicted antihero we can’t help but fall in love with.

Like its predecessor, this book ends on a cliffhanger. Sweeter Than Sin is a definite rec for lovers of dark romance. This sinful and decadent love story is one you won’t soon forget.

Amelia Wilde wholeheartedly obliterated the deepest inches of my soul with the second installment in her addictive Richer Than God Trilogy and I couldn't put down this deliciously scandalous story, not even for a second. This is one of those reads where you will find yourself lost completely among the pages screaming in frustration one minute and fanning yourself off in the next. Her words once again ignited a fire in the center of my chest, leaving my absolutely breathless as I inhaled all the words.

Zeus is still one of THE hottest alpha asshole I have read to date, but we got to see a slightly sweeter (pun totally intended) side of him in the second book. Although he often denies his feelings for Brigit, you can see just how much he cares by the sacrifices that he is willing to make in order to protect her. Their connection was absolutely EVERYTHING and my entire body swooned as their feelings continued to blossom. In the end I really freaking hope that they find a way to push past their insecurities and fully give themselves to one another. They are the most perfect match ever and I feel that they BOTH deserve a happily ever after together.

Sweeter Than Sin was a phenomenal follow up to Richer Than God AND now I cannot wait to get my hands on the last book in this EPIC trilogy because I JUST have to know what happens next. Amelia Wilde left us with a ton of questions and I for one am SO ready to dive back into the world of Zeus and Brigit as soon as humanely possible. Honestly I think I was ready for their entire story the moment I began. This author is an extraordinary storyteller that captivates her audience with the words of this beautifully dark and sexy romance that gives us just the perfect dose of suspense that will keep us guessing what unseen dangers lurk around the corner until the very end. AND what an intense ending it will surely be!

Sweeter Than Sin: - by Amelia Wilde

Amelia Wilde couldn’t have started Sweeter than Sin any better. Readers travel back to Olympus for Zeus’s 21st birthday. We know we are going to learn something about Zeus here, but never did I think the first thing we learned was that he, who was abused and beaten, was still able to feel for others; only to have Cronus rip away and destroy Zeus’s dreams and plans.

Brigit having been snatched out of a window at the end of Richer Than God is where book two begins. We the reader, follow the aftermath of the kidnapping, the realization that Brigit is not safe and she must be found and a rescue must happen. Zeus can’t afford to be personally involved so he turns to the only family member he can be sure would return Brigit safely to him.

Read carefully, because this story is packed with history of both Zeus’s and Brigit’s family. There is a hasty discussion and offer between brothers, which may be needed in the future.

In Sweeter Than Sin we watch Brigit grow as a woman and ends up going after what she wants and we all know that is Zeus!

This story is fast paced. Events happen quickly, there is constant watching out for any kind of retaliation. Who are the real enemies coming for Zeus and Brigit?
Her family? His family? Others who are tired of him controlling the city?

Through all of this the constant sexual tension that glows like a live electrical current between Zeus and Brigit, allows that tension to flow as a slow hot burn that explodes and becomes dangerous to both.

Amelia Wilde continues to give readers the darkest stories using her modern day versions of Greek Myths to draw readers into her dark and glorious renditions and they keep you on the edge of your seat the entire time you are reading. We can guess all we want about what Book three will bring, but if you are a fan of this series you know that by the end of the first sentence you will be right there with Zeus and Brigit and ready for the wild ride that we readers know Amelia Wilde always gives us.

THE REVIEW FOR THE BOOK SWEETER THAN SIN BY AMELIA WILDE.

GENRE:CONTEMPORARY DARK ROMANCE.
AUTHOR:AMELIA WILDE.
TYPE: BOOK #2.
POV: DUAL POV...
MY RATING: 5 STARS.

This is the second installment in the trilogy which focuses on Zeus and Bridgit's story.

The agony of wait is over...Zeus is back after disappearing with a cliffhanger which just messed your head. And he is not alone...He comes with the god of the underworld..Hades.

I devoured this book in one go exactly when it dropped in my kindle...I have read numerous books by Amelia Wilde and am very familiar with her writing style...so this was a one clicked for me.

Zeus's ruthlessness and coldness and Bridgit determination to win him over made this book so enjoyable for me...so many ups and downs and that cliffhanger ..my god..I swear... made me fall more in love with him...I didn't know I could love him more.

Crikey...

I loved Hade's books and with the last book, I still wasn't convinced that Zeus could win the top spot. I was wrong. So ever-loving wrong. Zeus just took Hades and pushed him out of the top spot and then some. The intensity of this book was beyond anything that I could have imagined. I shouldn't have loved him the way that I did, but good lord, how could I not. There is a reason that he is an anti-hero but even that couldn't stop me from loving him. That shows how good this author is that she can make someone so borderline repugnant and irredeemable and make him someone that I not only want to shake some sense into but that I also want to lock him up in my house and make little Zeus babies and I don't even like babies (except the one that I helped create and that makes me a better human). That, too, speaks volumes about this author.

From the first chapter, this book consumed me. I dreamt about it. These characters feel like real people. Even though this is nothing that I would ever experience in this lifetime and the setting isn't real, it FELT real and that made it even better. This author has bewitched me, first with Hades, and now, especially now, with Zeus and Brigit. It is twisted at times, I wanted to scream at times, and I had my stomach toss and turn with what was happening in this book. It is not a smooth ride but it was worth every bump along the way.

Discovering this author this year and this modern retelling of Greek Mythology, with a twist, is one of the best things about this godforsaken 2020 year. Highly recommend anyone to come on this journey with me because it is well worth it.

Amelia Wilde does it again! She rocked my world with how intense and alluring Zeus' universe is. Brigit has me watching her every move, and I couldn't help but lose myself in the whirlpool of emotions that take place.
So dark, sinful, sexy ,mysterious, hot, angsty with an alpha-hole who will take you down with him, Sweeter Than Sin is the perfect sequel to Richer Than God! The secrets unravel slowly, making you yearn for more!

Sweeter than Sin, book 2 in this trilogy, picks up directly where book 1, Richer than God, left off.
In the scramble of one missing women and too many men as suspects.
I am enamoured by the amount (or lack there of) time it takes to completely blow through all the emotions and feelings that Sweeter Than Sin puts you through!
Amelia grips you from page one and won’t let you go, no matter the amount of thrashing and begging you do, you can’t/don’t want it to stop.
Anxiously awaiting book 3!!!

Wow. What did I just read?! This book is the follow up to Richer than God and is just as amazing! Again, like with the last book, this one is a bit dark and a whole lotta steamy. This book gives a Briget who is a bit more broken but also a whole lot more sure of what she wants. Zeus fights what he wants but eventually gives up the fight. This book has everything. The steam the drama the angst and everything in between. It does end on a cliffhanger though so that sucks, but I can’t wait to read the final book!

Explosive second act!

OMG! This trilogy is going to do me in!

Zeus & Brigit's story continues. I can't stop thinking about what has happened, is happening, why things happen, the history, the present, the connections.

The darkness in the golden glory of Zeus and his world. The uneasy alliance between Zeus and Hades. The women who have changed them irrevocably, Brigit & Persephone.

The sister no one can find. Wicked family.

So much wicked goodness! I can't wait for their next chapter...

I received a review copy. I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

This book was nothing short of amazing as a follow up to book one. Zeus's book picks right up where book one left off and throws you in the midst of the action. I loved how much more I learned about the characters and I loved seeing her come out of her shell and challenge Zeus where he needed to be challenged. Truly I devoured this book and have already re-read it once as it is the most perfect escape. And who can argue with a cameo from Hades and Persephone

This story is a lust filled wonderland of cruel men and even crueler women. Book 2 starts off exactly where book 1 ended and boy what an introduction.

This story consumes you with so much anxiety as there is no white shining knight saving our beautiful and naive Brigit. Only a dark knight full of haunting memories and dark desires is her salvation but at what price.

I so badly need book 3 as that cliffhanger was a heart-stopping explosion to right through my heart, literally !!!!

Keeping this short for ONCE…

I’ve never been as happy as I was when I got to the ending of this book, read that freaking cliffhanger and thanked my lucky star the last installment is already out! 🙌🏼 I mean, I thought that cliffy at the end of the first book was hell… nope, had nothing on this one.

𝑺𝒘𝒆𝒆𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒏 𝑺𝒊𝒏 is the second book of the trilogy (it’s still Zeus’ turn 😏) A lot of things happened in this one, and I’m legit worried if I keep writing a spoiler might slip. This was an intense read, from character and plot development to chemistry 🔥

I was serious when I said before, I hated to love Zeus but I loved to hate him! The anti-hero in him was brought to a whole other level. But amidst all the darkness, that sliver of light just hooked me.

Brigit’s resilience was highlighted by her determination and strength after everything she endured. But damn, she was determined to get through to him and 😮‍💨 you go girl!

The beginning of the book, the level of angst and anticipation… I was literally so afraid, I was reading so fast I’d skip some paragraphs them be like no no go back and read them because I don’t want to miss anything, but at the same time, I just needed everything to be ok again! And then, the BIGGEST surprise appeared! 😏🙌🏼

I feel like I’m talking in riddles, or just like a craycray but it’s hard reviewing a second book in a trilogy because you don’t want to ruin anything from the first book but also you don’t want to spoil anything from this one. Anyone else feels the same way? 🙄

The backstory for Zeus… pretty much ripped my heart out. I thought I hated Artemis the most (from another series) but damn… she has nothing on Demeter! This one takes the crown for biggest B!tch. Period. I would gladly dance on her grave. Just sayin…

Basically, everything escalated after the first book, expect more steam, expect more angst. It all goes a whole lot darker 👌🏻 if you’re looking for a white knight in shining armor to save the day… keep looking 😈

Another enjoyable thrill ride from Amelia Wilde! I am loving the evolution of Zeus and Brigit's story. This book picks up right where the last book left off so we don't have to wait too long to dive into the mystery. There were great elements of suspense at the beginning as we try to track down Brigit's whereabouts. I really appreciated Zeus' POV as we continue to peel back his complex layers and why he has such a tough exterior. Brigit continues to be the perfect complement to him as she won't let him off the hook as he tries to fight falling for her. And the chemistry between these two continues to jump off the page!! I also really enjoyed that we had some overlap with Hades/Persephone in this one as their relationship continues to humanize Zeus. Really enjoyed this installment and can't wait for the next one!! I need more of these two!!

OMG, this was so intense in so many ways! We pick up where we left off in Richer Than God, Brigit haven been taken (there’s more to that) and Zeus, in the end, calling in for a helping hand. I want to say so much, but I don’t want to give anything away!! So, let me say, this was explosive!! Zeus has inner turmoil and a past that truly sucks!! Brigit has inner and outer turmoil, and is determined to get Zeus for herself. I devoured this book! And I’m not gonna lie, my emotions were high at the end! I NEED the next book!!! Like, holy cow, right now, the wait is gonna kill me!!! 😂 But it will be so worth it!! 😍

Blown away!
This is an epic tale that I can’t get out of my head. Zeus is so tortured and broken and Brigit might just be the only thing to put a balm on his burnt soul. But her trying to overcome her own demons proves to be a raging battle of its own.
The way this story is written has me deep inside both of their heads and never wanting to leave. The appearance of Hades and Persephone was a wonderful unexpected surprise also. The ending of this left my jaw on the floor and so many questions unanswered, I will be pacing around waiting for the next peek into this incredible world Amelia has set ablaze for all of us to see.

Zeus’s attempt to protect Brigit and his business are an epic fail when she is abducted. He will do anything to bring her back even if that means teaming up with the one person he never expected. Getting her back might just be the easy part as she is about to challenge him in ways he never expected and isn’t prepared for.

Learning how Zeus’s past has shaped him into the man he is today is enlightening while we get to see a side of Brigit that we haven’t see yet. The chemistry between them is hotter than ever and the suspense ramps up into a cliffhanger that leaves us needing to know what the future holds for this couple.

Sweeter Than Sin by Amelia Wilde is book Two in the Richer Than God Trilogy. This continues the story of Zeus and Brigit, so you really should read the previous book 'Richer Than God' before starting this one. This one picked up with the ground running. Zeus is out to get back Brigit who was taken from him....which is unexceptionable. Sometimes in a series / trilogy the middle book is a filler but this one for me wasn't. It was just as exciting as the first and I can't wait for the next installment. Loving this Trilogy.

To short. Way to short. You know a book is good when you want more. Yes this is book 2 of 3 so there WILL be more. But I want that more NOW!

Ok we get a good flashback of a younger Zeus. If you didn't already love him, you will after that.

It's all very fast paced from there.

I had a few predictions (in my head). I was wrong. Maybe, it's still to be seen if I am 100% wrong or just 50% wrong.

ps, I want to be punished by Zeus. I promise to be a very bad good girl. xoxo

I love these retellings of myths.

This is the continuation of the story of Zeus and Brigit.

What can I say? This book was fantastic.

It picks up where the first one left off and while we learn more about Zeus he is still cold, calculating, ruthless and mean. Though he doesn’t want to show it he seems to have a soft spot for Brigit.

I loved every word and I can’t wait for more Zeus and Brigit. In this book we get to see Persephone and Hades too!

Sweeter Than Sin is the second book in the Richer Than God trilogy and my feelings toward this were much the same as my feelings toward the first. Once again, there were interesting elements that were never taken as far as I had hoped.

I think my lack of connection to the main characters and their romance is the reason I didn’t much care for this second story. Without that connection, the elements I was interested in felt like they fell into the background, and the details that did get a focus didn’t quite work for me. I can certainly see those invested in the first book enjoying this second, but for me it felt a bit forced.

All in all, this second book didn’t quite work for me. The ending, however, had me wanting to see how everything comes together.
