Running from a rogue group of First Bloods, Maccabee ended up in the one place he thought might be safe until he could figure out what to do about the situation; Patagonia, in the little Totem's cottage, where he'd had to shame her into letting him hide there. Induh's people weren't crazy about vampires, and Induh wasn't crazy about him. Still, he needed a safe place until he could get his community involved to protect their race.
Induh had been shocked that the vampire had chosen her village to hide in. Why in the world would he come to her? She would have to remain vigilant while he was here against becoming too involved with him. Vampires were too volatile, too sexy, too much for her quiet life.
Book 23 brings a startling discovery to the First Blood world, where their precious children are at risk. Join another sexy adventure in the ever expanding world of the First Bloods.
My name is Charlie, everyone has a story, and this is mine...
That's how the book Last Best Hope, by author T.C.Butts, introduces Charlie Quinn, happy at last living in the Colorado Rocky Mountains, finally at home in her cabin surrounded by nature's beauty. From her isolated life, she makes her living writing a highly successful vampire romance series, where she proclaims, "So I didn't create timeless canons of literature...I created moments of escapist enjoyment, and in the lives we often trap ourselves, it was as important as any Shakespeare sonnet or Tennyson poem." When fireballs rain down on Denver one early spring night, the world is changed forever.
Author T.C.Butts has brought Charlie Quinn's vampire romance series to life, which has grown deeper and richer with each new volume. It has been a labor of love!
The story is good if they would edit better!!!! Here we go back to kidnapping the vampires. It was good to see the original first back in action. However we are what, 2000+ years in the future and your going into a facility you know the enemy is going to release a toxin that robs your vampire abilities and can render you unconscious, and you don’t wear a gas mask!!!!!
This worked out pretty well! I get a little fed up with the happy happy joy joy language when the ladies get together and there was still a bit of run- on in a dialogue or two but this writer is definitely still improving. Hate the repetitive plot lines, but love the characters so have to keep reading!
