More on Hart Land Lakeside

Come and stay in one of the quaint and cozy cottages at Hart Land—but be warned, once you meet the family and delightful cast of characters, you may never want to leave.

Fiona Hart is the devoted matriarch. Elegant, wise, and arts patron, but despite all her efforts, she has yet to find her own artistic outlet. Lucy isn’t just a housekeeper, she’s part of the family. She also fancies herself a real life Dolly Levy, except she’s much better at cooking up trouble than the perfect match. Innkeeper and retired general Harold Hart believes in hard work, discipline, and whatever his beloved wife wants. Katie O’Leary runs the One Stop, makes the best Irish soda bread this side of the Blarney Stone, and no one is quite sure if it’s more than her baking that has the magic touch. Did we mention the Harts have nine granddaughters?

Having grown up spending summers together on the lake, the cousins are as close as sisters—closer. Each woman knows there’s no place like Hart Land. They can always count on their grandfather’s gruff, their grandmother’s sage advise, Lucy’s fresh baked cookies, Katie’s inspiration, the calming scent of fresh air—and each other.

Follow along with friends, family, neighbors, and guests as the Harts maneuver life’s curves, and just maybe find love along the way.

“You can’t go wrong with a Chris Keniston book!” RaeAnne Thayne, New York Times bestselling author of the Haven Point series.

A native New Yorker, Chris Keniston was on her way to Australia when she fell in love with North Texas. Little did she know the balmy seventy-degree October days would turn into fry-an-egg-on-the-sidewalk heat in August!

Twenty years later, she started scribbling short stories about her favorite TV shows, giving them lives more to her liking - and the elusive happy ending. Not long after, a dear friend dragged her to a local writers’ meeting. After winning multiple writing contests and making the finals in the Romance Writers of America’s prestigious Golden Heart contest, she now spends her days, and nights, writing contemporary romantic fiction with lots of emotion, plenty of surprises, and, of course, the happily ever after.

Chris lives in suburban Dallas with her husband, two human children, and two canine children. Though she loves her puppies equally, she admits being especially attached to her German Shepherd rescue named Gunny. After all, even dogs deserve a happily ever after.

This is the last granddaughter, Poppy, the general tries to find a good young man to marry. It is so funny how all his military friends decide which granddaughter is best for each one’s grandson. Dylan restores art and when the church needs some restoration at the 200 year old church, Dylan is called. It works out so nice since Poppy works in the church office. It was funny how Cindy got Poppy to watch an over rambunctious puppy until she can get adopted. The puppy brought some funny times to the group. It was nice how much Poppy and Dylan got along and had so much in common. There is also a small mystery that is found in the church that needs to be solved. I have loved this series and will miss it. I strongly encourage you to read the book. I was given a copy of the book and voluntarily wrote a review.

Its sad knowing with all the general's granddaughters finding their HEA, that this series is over. But wow, it ended with a bang! I loved reading this book, and loved that there was a couple, Adam & Meg, from the Farraday Country in the story as well as Brooklyn from the Aloha series. This story had lots of humour and tons of love. I was gifted an ARC and I'm volunteering my honest opinion. I recommend this book, I actually recommend the whole series.

I was sad to see this series end. Ms. Keniston had me in love with this series ever since I read Heather. It’s filled with so much heart, family values and so much more, plus recipes at the end of the books. So buy the books!!!... Poppy Book #9 was a fun book with so much love and affection within.

You see all of General Harold Hart granddaughters are spoken for expect Poppy, and he must somehow make sure she meets someone. That’s when He and his military friends get together and talk about how to make it happen. The plan doesn’t go exactly the right way, but it works in there favor. Well it all depends on how you look at it.

Dylan is surprised to get so many calls in one day to go to Lawford to help restore the church after the fire they had. So it seems he’s off to check things out.
What he doesn’t accept is Poppy Nelson. They work side by side since she’s in charge of things at the church. Soon she’s got a high energy puppy that she’s watching, and it’s wreaking havoc.
It’s plenty entraining and so many more things happen.

To be released November 27th, 2020.

I highly recommend this book, and the ones before it.

I accepted a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review and all thoughts are my own.

Poppy by Chris Keniston is the ninth book in a series called Hart Land. The series is based on the small town of Lawford (in NH) with the General (Harold Hart) and his wife, Fiona. They have nine single granddaughters who one by one will find their own love. Lucy the housekeeper is bound and determined to be matching them all up, but she is an accident waiting to happen. The General and Fiona run a small hospitality business with cabins, with their house full of people and laughter.

Poppy is the church secretary and is in the midst of her family. By accident, the church has a fire and needs an expert to come and help save the paintings that were damaged. The expert, Dylan came from Texas to help restore the work. Of course, Dylan and Poppy hit it off. There are a couple of mysteries and puppies and the people of the town all helping out.

I am sorry this book is the last of the Hart Land series. I have loved the magicalness of the towns and the people. I was thrilled that a couple Faradays showed up and I loved the puppies! This series is sweet and fun and just makes your heart happier. Poppy by Chris Keniston is a fun, flirty read!

Poppy: Hart Land Book 9 is by Chris Keniston. This is the last of the books on Hart Land. The four grandfathers who were all in the military and who all want their grandchildren married had one of General Hart’s granddaughter’s left to get married off- Poppy. They knew they wanted Poppy and General Powell’s grandson, Dylan, would be perfect for each other. However, to get them to meet was going to be difficult. The men were in the pastor’s office in the old Lanford Mountain Community Church. The church was almost 200 years old. One of their cigars dropped into the waste basket and started a fire. They had to get it out before it burned the church down. What a mess they made. There was water everywhere and so much damage was done to the murals. Could they be fixed?
Grandfather hart knew just who to call. Dylan Powell was an art restorer. He would be perfect. It would get to help him because she worked for the pastor. However, would just working together help?

Poppy is the last flower in the Hart bouquet of blossoms.
Dylan is an art restorer.
Poppy works at the 200 year old church in Lawford, which is home to several murals and paintings.
Fire damage to the interior of the church prompts Dylan to visit Hart Mountain to clean up and restore the fire damaged art work.
Called upon to babysit a mischievous puppy, who is making her own selection of family.
All this amongst the flower cousins and locals we’ve come to know in HartLand. It’s a great finale to the HartLand tale, until the girls start having great-grand children for the General & Miss Fiona. Then I’m hoping for Round 2!!

“Poppy” is the perfect book for the season. Poppy is a sweetie that works in a church and Dylan comes to repair the artwork damaged after a fire. At least that is what they think. If you follow the series, you know that the General and his buddies are always up to no good and love matching people up. This story is a warm hearted ending to the Hart family series. I enjoyed them all and this is a wonderful way to end. You will be reunited with the family and the pets and find new ones along the way. Definitely recommend “Poppy.”

Poppy is retired general Harold Hart’s last unmarried granddaughter. The general wants to match her with one of his former military buddies’ grandsons. I received a free copy of this ebook from the author. This is my honest and voluntarily given review. This is the last book in a delightful series. There is a sweet love story, amusing moments, a rambunctious puppy, a found masterpiece, an interesting church yard sale, and fun family gatherings. There is a light sweet romance and a fitting end to the series.

I have loved this series from the beginning and I'm so sad to see it end, but I can't wait to see what Chris Keniston has in store for her readers next.

Poppy is the pastor's assistant and loves the organization of managing his office. When a fire causes damage to the church building and some of the art an art restoration specialist is called in to help. A very unexpected discovery among the art will lead to Poppy and Dylan trying to solve a century old mystery.

I received an ARC and voluntarily offer this review.

The last granddaughter finds her match and another family’s adventure ends. Like the Farradays, the Harts feel like family and while you are sad for the relationship to end you have truly enjoyed the journey. Well done Chris, well done!

Another Good Chris Keniston Series Finishes

This was a really enjoyable, easy-to-read series. Nice, likable characters populated the series all the way. All of the stories also took place outside the bedroom doors which was actually a nice change. A true feel-good series.

Poppy, the final book in Chris Keniston's Hart Land maintains the standard of awesome and sweet romance. Those familiar with the series will be pleased with the wrap up of this series and will especially enjoy a couple of the guests we get to spend time with. The whole series is delightful and it ends with just the right touch. The big question we have been asking is answered and Lily..., well you will have to see for yourself.
