Seven Deadly Sins #1

Claimed by Pride

Rate this book
Lev
I’m trapped by a curse, cast by Lucifer himself. Although, I’m not the only one. My half-brothers are subjected to the same torment. We don’t know the reasoning, yet Lucifer ensured each of us is plagued with one of the seven deadly sins.
We’ve all accepted our fates, and while we work to figure out a way to free ourselves of this mental prison we try to do the one thing we can do— live our lives.
I live in a remote part of Russia, on the side of the Dykh-Tau Mountain, away from those who wouldn’t be able to understand us. While my home is private, it also grants me access to the border of Eastern Europe.
You see, I’m a kill-for-hire assassin. I don’t care who you want dead, all I want is to make sure I’m being paid the right price.
None of it mattered until a certain little thief became my target. Now, I’m only left wondering how I’ll finish this job, or if I’ll finish it.

Well well well... Where to begin 🤔
Let's start by saying that this was a really good read that was short and quick but so good!

I really enjoyed the way the story was build, from Lev being the "protector" of his half sisters to him being a Lion shifter! Man, was that a surprise! Was not expecting this to be a shifter book at all 🙃

Loved the fact that Lux was a Succubus! I haven't read many stories with them in so this was definitely a nice addition 🥰 also really loved how she didn't take shit from that scum of an Ex 🙄

The hell damned cliffhanger at the end killed me 😩 I really just wanna continue to meet Lorcan and find out what happened with him and Lev and what's gonna happen with them in the future!!

This is an intriguing story! Are usually only read MC by this author but she can hold her own in PNR. Lev is a lion shifter and one of the sons of Lucifer. He has a special skill set that makes him a sought after assassin. Lux is a succubus and thief. They meet at a bar and the chemistry between us to is electrically charged. Will Lev be able to kill Lux, his mate, and return the stolen goods? The only critique I have of this book is the main characters names are way too similar and I was slightly confused on which point of you I was reading from. But overall this author did a bang up job and I can’t wait for more of the series!!

HOLY HELLLLLLLLLL I don't know where to begin with this review because there is so much I want to say but I don't want to ruin it for the reader. I started reading this one and i could not put it down. I mean Liz has crafted an amazing world where it just jumped off the pages and into my mind. I felt like I was right there with Lux and Lev.

Lux and Lev meet at a bar and there is instant attraction. These two set off all the red alarms but they make it work for them until trouble comes their way and the two of them will have to make a decision on whether or not to stay or go.

I loved this story it was well written with good word usage and with off the charts chemistry of the characters. It's Lev and Lux's story that I found kept me glued to my seat reading and I couldn't get enough. The story was fantastic, engrossing and entertaining and I can't wait to read more.

Claimed By Pride is a fantastic read. Be prepared to get sucked into all the drama and have your head and emotions be in a whirlwind. Liz Knox, author, did a great job creating the world that this story takes place. Claimed By Pride is the first book in the Seven Deadly Sins series. Each book is about one of the seven half brothers who are sons of Lucifer. He has cursed each one with one of the seven deadly sins and they are trying to live their lives while trying to solve their problem with the sin they are cursed with. Claimed By Pride as you probably already guess is a paranormal, PNR, story. Claimed By Pride is about Lev and his story. Liz created wonderful characters and each book with be interconnected as Lev had found all of his half brothers and each book will be their story and I believe that as the stories progress they will gain more answers. I found this book to be interesting and like I said I was sucked into the lives of Lev and his half brothers (being the first book there is some background provided for each one). Lev and Lux are mates but things are never easy for them. Lux denied being Lev’s mate and she makes things as difficult as possible. Ok, I think I have said too much already and I already deleted some of what I wrote so I don’t give anything away. Let’s just say that Liz created a series that has all the things I love in my books that I love to read. There are surprises, twist, turns, things going side ways, and lots of heat. Another thing is when I really like or even love the characters that I feel different emotions and empathize with the characters. Best of all it captured my attention from the first page to the last and made me want to keep on reading. Highly recommend you check out Claimed By Pride as I am sure you will want to read the next book in the series. Enjoy reading Claimed By Pride.

Lev is a lion shifter and one of the seven sons of Lucifer. He’s been working as an assassin for years and his latest mission has brought him to London. Meanwhile, succubus thief Lux is also in town and she’s all too eager to get an energy boost before starting on her next mission. The two hit it off and although they part ways, fate keeps throwing them back together. When a target gets put on her back, just how far is Lev willing to go to see her safe?

I’m sort of torn about this book. The premise was fascinating, but it felt like there needed to be a prequel to explain some of the set up and character motivations better. Lev was supposed to be the keeper of the sin of pride, and yet I have no idea how that affected him other than perhaps being confident and protective over his loved ones. But what alpha male isn’t? Lux’s abilities were similarly vague. I hoped that Lev and Lux’s powers would be revealed over the course of their developing relationship, but they spent most of the story apart. Even when they did get together, their scenes were brief and most of the growth happened behind the scenes. Based on the ending, it’s possible that so much was left a mystery because the characters will star alongside one of Lev’s brothers in the sequel. However, I still would’ve appreciated a bit more depth here.

As a warning, this ends as more of a happy-for-now than a happily-ever-after. I hope the the series continues to build in complexity in terms of plot, characters, and world-building.

What an interesting story! I was hooked from the prologue due to the mystery of how everything all started. Except for the fact that when you get to the end you will be asking yourself um what did I just read. This has mystery, some action and some moments that can trigger you if you are sensitive to some subjects. Lev is a cat shifter and he has a dark side but not like bad guy dark. Well he is a bad guy dark but in a good way? Ugh, you will know what I mean once you read the story. He has a pretty big family and the dynamics is pretty typical for siblings. Then you meet Lux, now this girl is feisty and a bit scorned. She definitely has a past that is not great but she has managed to do well. However, when these two meet, BAM it gets hot. We also find out other information about them both. I am just not sure how I felt about that ending. Like seriously Liz, you can really gut someone with that kind of ending. I am still shocked and need to know what is going to happen like as soon as possible. Well at least don't let me wait forever.

⚔️⚔️ONE INCREDIBLE JOURNEY⚔️⚔️
Fantastic! Liz brought it with this skillfully spun debacle, dropping the bomb and lowering the boom, tilting my world on its axis and blowing me away, wrapping this baby up sleek, shiny and tight. Unexpected happenstance and vexing mishaps, swirl with the taxing trials and challenging tribulations, spinning alongside the thrilling twists and wicked turns, putting our characters through their paces. Shenanigans, escapades and mayhem rule the roost, displaying the drama, intrigue, escalating danger, spiraling suspense and intense situations along with a boatload of trouble, you have one jaw dropping adventure. Satisfaction rocks this little gem, bringing it home with such intensity and precision, blasting this baby to life beautifully. The characters are complex and authentic with qualities and traits that add depth and diversity, transforming into genuinely relatable personalities. The scenes are strikingly sharp with abundant details and depictions creating a colorful backdrop that makes the storyline pop. Amazing job Liz, thanks for sharing this little gem with us.

Kindle Unlimited Read

I adore author Elizabeth (Liz) Knox! The start of the paranormal series Seven Deadly Sins is no different. The introduction to this series had my juices flowing I I couldn't wait to devour the rest of the series.

Unfortunately, that's just not going to happen. Author A.C. Williams never completed Lorcan's story, the second installment in this series. In addition it seems that an unknown author failed to write the third book in the series, much less list it. Author Handley Raydeen also failed to complete the task of publishing the fourth book in the series.

Not having three of the book in circulation wasn't crushing enough for me.... I found that booms five and six are not in the Kindle Unlimited Program and I just don't have the means to budget them living on Social Security Disability. Therefore, I will miss out on these two highly recommended books.

But alas, author Rachel Starkie is a sweetheart and her finale installment to this series is part of the Kindle Unlimited Program. Yeah me!

It's weird to read the first and last book of a series and miss out on what could have been an interesting group of brothers.

I must say that I am more familiar with this particular authors Mc and mafia books but I like them so much I was willing to give her paranormal a try (i do read this genre occasionally) and I have to say I wasn't disappointed at all The only thing that threw me was the characters names been so similar I sometime had to think about them

Lev is a lion shifter and the son of Lucifer him and his half brothers are the guardians of the seven deadly sins and his just happens to be pride. He has worked as an assassin and is in London when he first meets Lux. She is a succubus who also happens to work as a thief They go their separate ways after the meeting but fate keeps throwing them together When a contract is placed on Lux's head then Lev will need to step up to keep her safe as he is the one who is supposed to kill her.

Claimed by Pride by Elizabeth Knox is a wildly entertaining story, partially based in mythology and folklore….but, with a decadent, steamy twist!!! It’s the story of Lev and Lux. She’s a succubus and he’s the spawn of Lucifer. He is on a mission to retrieve a stolen article and she impedes, albeit unknowingly, his investigation.

This story was EXTREMELY entertaining and the flow was wonderful…until the end. Suddenly, all issues are resolved, with no ‘real’ explanation of the course of events…and now there are new issues. Nevertheless, a wonderful read!!!

You know a book is good when you're so engrossed in the story that you don't realize you're close to the end and then you see you're 70% finished and get sad.

Lux and Lev were intriguing characters whose chance meeting at a bar put them in each others orbit and the sparks fly. When their respective jobs make them cross paths again you know things are going to get interesting...

If you're a lover of paranormal romance this is definitely a must read for you and the epilogue will definitely have you adding another book on your TBR list!

Lux is in a pickle. Hired by her Ex to steal a necklace, she becomes a victim to a death curse. To add insult to injury, she can't reverse the curse because she's an orphan with no knowledge of her ancestors.

Lev is an assassin, one of the best paranormal assassins in the business. He has a problem, though... He's been hired to return a stolen necklace and to kill the thief who took it. Turns out that the thief is his mate, and he'll do anything to keep her alive.

Best part is that there is more to come...

Wow! This story is Lex and Lux's. These are complex characters.Elizabeth Knox never disappoints. Lex is an assasin and also a lion shifter. He and his half brothers have been cursed by Lucifer. This is a six part series so there is more goodness to come. Lex and Lux have met up and keep meeting up and have formed a bond. Lex is a jewel theif and has been hired to steal a necklace that has been cursed. Lex has been hired to kill that same jewel theif. Lex cannot break the curse. This book was wonderful the characters the action the story line all just wonderful. Cannot wait to read more.

I'm conflicted about this book. The writing is good, the chemistry is good, the world building is good . I enjoyed reading the book. However the premise is what attracted me to the book and I don't feel this was truly covered. This book covers the sin of Pride but doesn't cover how this affects Lev's life, he came across as your average alpha male, confident, protective and possessive, it felt that his sin was glossed over or that a prequel is missing. I'm hoping the other books in the series will add depth to his character and explain the impact of pride in his life

It's nice to see an author that is not afraid to cross genre lines. It's even more impressive when that author is able to cross those lines and do as good of a job in the new one as they are in the original. This author has not once failed to entertain me with the character work as well as the story lines that she manages to create. This was a great way to start a new series and I am looking forward to seeing what happens in the next book.

Good read and first book

It’s a really interesting story with history. It’s similar to a type of mythology. Lucifer is powerful and he wants sons. He tricks one of his officers to cross dimensions and make him sons. This book is about one of the sons and how he finds his mate. Their meeting is happenstance but as you read the book it changes how you see their relationship. The storyline is full and there is good character development. This book is part of a series and it does end with a type of cliffhanger. Read On!

This was such a great story to read. Elizabeth has me completely hooked on Lux and Lev’s story. There were twists that shocked the heck out of me. I was so engrossed with this story that I didn’t realize the time going by. They both have a job that needs to be done. They just weren’t expecting their jobs to cross together. I really like this side of Elizabeth. She does a great job doing any genre. She is so good at giving you surprises and shocking you while you read. I really liked meeting the brothers and finding out about their father.

This was a very interesting read I must admit I've read a few shifter paranormal books but not alot that deal with the devil Lucifer himself. I guess watching Lucifer on tv helped me out while reading this otherwise I wouldn't have know some of the back story on the characters.
Was abit of a pain when starting out as both characters have such similar names I'd get confused who's side I was reading lol.
Overall a great story and look forward to reading more on the brothers and also more on Lev and Lux's story as boy that is going to be complicated for those two.

This like all the books of Ms. Knox, draws you into the plot line and refuses to let you go.
I have come to enjoy all her stories, and this one is no different. It just adds a different layer for people to enjoy.
The chemistry between the main characters is electrifying and gets hotter, with each and every page. They fight, love, kill, and will do anything for the other or their families.
In the end his love for her is completely set in stone, and hers for him is the same. They are stronger together then apart.

So so Good! I was hooked on this story from the very first page until the last. Lev is a shifter and an assassin. Lux is a thief and a succubus. When these two meet sparks fly and their chemistry is palpable. I loved Lux and Lev, they were complex and unique characters. This is an amazing read, and it’s filled with twists that will shock you, intrigue, suspense, action, and magic. If you love paranormal romance then this is the book for you, I highly recommend it.

Elizabeth Knox has once again delivered a great story that was well written with lots of details to really keep you interested. Not what I would normally read but I enjoyed this so much and Lev and Lux had lots of chemistry and mystery about them both that has left me wanting much more, especially that ending. Ms Knox you certainly know how to reel us in. Highly recommend this new series for anyone who loves to read about paranormal. Even if it is not for you it is well worth the read.

Lev is a lion shifter, who is also an assassin!! Lux is a succubus and she is hired to do a job by her ex. She was hired to steal something which she does. She and Lev had a one night fling however they continue to cross paths and feelings grow stronger. Warning, this book ends on a cliffy where Lev and Lux are concerned, but I am very excited about the books to follow. This was a great new book. It definitely is a page turner. Really enjoyed this book.

This was an interesting read and obviously different than what this author has written before. I love the premise and that each brother will get a story and delve into why they have been cursed with a different sin. At times I was confused as I didn't get the reasoning behind certain things. The chemistry between Lev and Lux was great but a lot of the growth was not actually described in the book and happened off screen. I am only hoping we get to see more of them in the coming books in the series.

Liz Knox/Elizabeth Knox did a great job on this book, Claimed by Pride had a strong plot that was written well, the story was filled with many emotions.
Lev and Lux were strong characters, both were fierce, fighters. The connection between them was strong, they were drawn to one another, their chemistry was sexy, they were good together.
Their journey may have been a bumpy one but Lux and Lev were made for each other.
I enjoyed this story, it was great. Looking forward to reading more.
Thank you, Liz Knox/Elizabeth Knox. Great work :)

This is a paranormal story about the sons of Lucifer and that they each have a deadly sin in the. Lev is an assassin and lives in Russia and will kill anyone until the one in London. Lux is there for her own job but after meeting Liv it all changes. This was a wonderful story and had great chemistry and with all their past it makes for a great storyline. The characters were perfect and pulled you into this story.

I love the characters and who and what they were. It makes you wonder what is more out there on this crazy planet we call Earth. It made once more wanting for paranormal beings to coexist with humankind. Lev gives off a very collected and brooding vibe, and when one thing throws him off the rails aka Lux, it makes you laugh and all sweet inside.... But this is just what I got while reading and imagining all possible outcomes. It is dark, se*y, twisted, romantic, and also rough when needed. I cannot wait to read more of it!

This very well-written book 3 in the Seven Deadly Sins Series has well-crafted characters. This amazing book was intriguing as it had very well-thought out scenes and story plots. These characters have very strong wills and personalities and their interactions are believable. This story has the following: intrigue, twists and turns, adventure, action, love, steam and a HEA. It is well-paced and will keep you engaged from start to finish. A must read
